What do you want to see more of on Day 3 of EUROBIKE 2024?
More reliable motors.
Showing the cheaper brands but then going to the $500 ebikes wich are now what you want in terms of reliability and quality
Might not be happening quite yet for 2025 bikes... but would love to see some manufacturer brands using the Bafang motors. The video you redently released at the Bafang motor plant was amazing and sold me on their motors and batteries! Cheers
More serviceable and reliable motors with parts availability. Till then I’ll stay with my non motor 23 stumpjumper
Full suspension fat tired emtbs if there any that on par with bikes like the Stance E, Trubo levo and the likes if you know what I mean.
One thing you learn watching these videos, there are n+1 bike companies - more than you could imagine existing.
DJI, MGM, ZF, and Pinion are the true breakouts in tech. Bosch, Brose, Shimano(especially). I think where they could be innovative is customer retention. Loyalty. Through repair, parts, replacement guidance. Add value to your product for your current customers. Also, it will add resale value. Example. If a ZF motor has a lifetime warranty, imagine if it's transferable. How will you compete? Race results, some silly updates that everyone has, some weight reduction, noise level, UA-cam hype? I think not. Not with this new competition. The only manufacturer "safe" is Bafang. Why? Loyalty.
Time for TQ to up the power on that thing! It’s the best fitting motor just needs more grunt!
This might be a new Bosch motor, however they agreed to hide it for now because dealers have a lot of bikes in storage which might be even harder to sell when there is a new motor available. On the other hand they wanted to allow the brands to showcase their bikes with this motor. At least it is what they've said
@@haemmertime it’s listed on a lot of 2025 bikes (bdu375)
That insane rust bike was so cool hahahaha, so much character. I'd totally ride that around town.
Incredible bike, @dangerholm is always so creative with his builds!
@@embn is there a link to the Rook M-780
im so glad you covered all the smaller brands and especially the better value ones for certain price brackets
A lot in here Jonesy! well done. Cheers.
Water proofing and reliability is the most important thing to me for any system . I want it to just work like my Honda CB500F :)
Waterproofing, spare parts, repairability…. words not in the the emtb world’s lexicon
I saw a video of a Stark Varg electric MX bike jumping in water, would never do that with my Bosch motor, already learned that the hard way... 😢
Love the intergrated rear shock on the Scott Voltage 900 SL, it looks the business!
It does look great!
it just make it more complicate to do base maintenance lol, worthless
Folle intégration pour des mécanos qui pleurent
@@zayon0170 surely their will be a way to maintain it otherwise it would be a pain. Still looks awesome though
For me the ZF motor with the lifetime warranty is massive! ZF gearbixes for high end sports cars have been industry leading for many years, this motor in that small package will be just the beginning, they will be the next to perfect the motor / gearbox combination unit and it will also come with a lifetime warranty I reckon!!
Could we look forward to Steve competing in a complete emtb race in the future????😊😊😊.
This is amazing
9:28 DYNEM is Crazy 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is there a link to the Rook M-780 emtb? Listed at 8:17
9:28 dynem is having something crazy stuff over there ❤
@ DYNEM is Crazy. Will definetly ride the bike with so innovative features.
1:40 Pinion MGU does that already.
Got the new Bosch update today in the UK (1.22.7). I definitely need to get the TRP eShift derailleur now, haha. But the AI added to the range is interesting, and thank God we can now change the Purion 200 screens in the app.
Can anyone tell me where i can find a link to that rook ebike even shipped to canada that would be an incredible deal
9:29 dynem is what i m looking for they are coming up with crazy stuff.😍
Dynem seem to be the most interesting software to showcase 9:28🎉
Any news from Bosch and wattage/cad broadcast to Garmin head unit or linkk between Bosch cloud to Garin Connect?
Hey how come I‘ve never seen anything about Megamo bikes on your channel? 🤓
I‘ve seen some around recently but there‘s very few reviews.
Would appreciate if you could give us your opinion on them 😁
10:20 Ananda motor. My e-bike has a m100 Ananda Motor and I love it. 😊
DYNEM 🔥
❤👍
Dynem bike - built in security and battery consumption calculator… 👍
That Bosch CX you pointed out at the end physically looks like the SX. maybe we’re gonna get a 750w peak 85nm SX??
if only 'molicell' made ebike battery packs (21700 cells)
Molicels are designed for ecig...
@@nicod974 Battery Mooch tests mate, all cells compared (ecig or not)
you brain is working overtime ---- you have one---wow
Do you really like the Giant Stance? Its hard to tell when the review is sponsored. Ive had it for a year and absolutely love it
I wouldn't watch this channel if Steve Jones ever leaves.
Great to see new developments and smaller lighter motors and batteries, but there also needs to be some standardisation of motor mounts or adaptors so you can mix and match just like all the other parts. And the motors need to be warranted through the bike company. They have chosen to do business with the motor supplier, not you. It is just seen as a lack of customer service.
I hate UA-camrs calling out people walking through- the priority is what is happening in real life not them getting a shot for their channel
What about MGU bikes? Anytime I see a derailleur it feels like a relic of the past. MGU bikes or nothing I say. 😂
Yeah it doesn't take them anytime now days to dial the bikes because of 3d printers & part machines!
The questions is which is better then other for a atleast a week until you're advertising more! 😂
DJI
Bosch better start giving people the option of switching off the limiter otherwise they going to loose out big time to other brands
11:54What is this being?😅
Everyone trying to go lightweight. I just want more range.
Life-time oil bath in automotive means, it's good until it's not. Life-time reached.
bruh, the light e-mtb motor Bosch CX is already announced AAAGES ago, what is this "news"? its not new!
Nobody use brose motors anymore
this is all nice and good, but it is about time we had some standardization in eMTB world. First of all batteries - these should be standard connector, size and voltage - it is consumable part of bike, and customers should not be stuck with useless bike that manufacturers wont sell new batteries for after 3-5 years. Same deal with motors - either standard mounting points and sizes or 10 years+ repairability guarantee. Why pay 5, 10 or 15k for bike, that won't be serviceable in 5 years and manufacturer will tell you to buy new one? That is not ok. You may say "when you buy a car you don't expect to be able to swap engine" - to that I say "I expect to be able to fix the car for pretty much as long as I want, which is not the case with eMTB
Way too many emtb manufacturers, small volumes sold hence high prices needed to survive. This is like the beginning of the auto industry. Bankruptcies and consolidation….and quality Chinese bikes will solve this over time - can’t come too soon !
Only Scott could make a TQ motor bike look fat
If you ever get the opportunity to test ride it, you’ll wish you had one after the ride. 😉
Everything new is already out of date compared to the Euro bike components category winner: DJI. Must feel like a waste of time for Steve and crew showing everything else.
The DJI motor is very cool but there's so much to see at Eurobike, keep watching there's bound to be interesting stuff!
@embn yeah don't worry I will - I was only kind of kidding. Love the show! But damn the DJI bike is a game changer. 10 lbs lighter than my Rocky with the same power! I now follow DJI on Twitter. Interesting company.
NO Bikes from China or India, please...
why?
@@user-go8ib4mb3k Garbage... There is many Trouble with the BIG Brands... what would you do if a Motor from India makes some Trouble? Send it to them?
@@Rideoak The DJI is very cool
@@user-go8ib4mb3k Yes, it is. Maybe a BAFANG!?
@@Rideoak DJI produces its own motors, which are stable and reliable.
Industry needs to stop claiming >30kg monstrosities with >2,6" tires are bicycles just because they have pedals instead of pegs. They're moped/motorcycles.
No they are not. Not even close to a motorcycle😂😂😂
My Cannondale Moterra Carbon 1 that I race locally in the E-MTB class feels NOTHING like my Yamaha R1 & Suzuki SV650. It’s silly to think this.
No they are not. And i only ride Bio MTB for 42 Years now.
u r so lost lol
Show me a motorcycle under 30kg
