    As the water goes in, it is stored in the enclosed and sealed area around the center pipe, and the little pipe opening inside the water storage area is not quite touching the top flat welded piece, and so when the fire is lit down below, the heat causes the water to heat up, making pressure from steam, thereby forcing the now pressurized air into the little pipe, which feeds air to, and through the fire, which causes said fire to get hotter, thus completely burning the oil.
    Note the amount of water in the "water chamber". It isn't filled, but enough to create steam from the heated water.
    Once the plug to the water chamber is opened, it loses any pressure it had, resulting in the fire looking like in the beginning when it was first lit.
    The forced air from steam acts as a fan to the flame, causing it to burn hotter.

      @roberttill3787 2 роки тому +2

      the forced air is laden with water as it is steam, and the opposite to what you claim is happening. Oil only burns cleanly at an optimum temperature, not the hottest it can get to. The water, injected in small amounts will regulate the temperature of the burn and make the stochiometric value of the air to fuel (oil) ideal, making it burn cleaner. If you can get it set spot on the flame will turn from yellow to blue. When its burning yellow the mix ratio is too rich.

      @@roberttill3787 You misunderstand this foreigner. The steam does not blow into the burning oil. It blows away from the flame and up into the exhaust pipe at a higher velocity. This leads to a suction effect pulling dry air into the air holes in the bottom and this fans the oil flame. The exhaust is a mixture of steam and hydrocarbons that can be used to pipe heat to other locations. It's great for heating a well ventilated shop but you don't want this heating your home due to carbon monoxide leakage from the exhaust pipe.

      @@vonsnt1234 I am not sure if they are use the steam too bring fast moving air to add to the fuel flame ; but ido know this , if you have water vaporized and inject into a hot flame ,. the oxygen and hydrogen will separate and the flame source will burn with a greater intensity => in days gone past , one could buy a set up that would inject water vapor below the carburetor that atomized water going into the combustion chamber of gasoline engines that would give you a little bit more efficient gas mileage ,. I am not sure wants happening here , I believe with a little thicker pipe for the steam pressure chamber and 4 × .023" sized steam injector holes you should be burning hydrogen and oxygen by then / this would need to be test run at a distance because it might let you know if you need welding improvement or thicker materials . As we say here ; I will try it twice unless it kills Me ! For you haters and everything safety people out there , I learned this expression from my predecessors when we where setting safeties , example checking boiler system , setting safeties you need people to run Her to maximum limits. Nice the water boil then create a steam pressure. Steam pressure create jet propulsion in between tail stock of the fire chamber and create vacuum from combustion chamber wherein the openning from combustion chamber create suction effect from the environment to get enough air and with existing enough heat and fuel the fire triangle create good fire. Wow. You need to put a relief valve or a pressure controller from water boiler to control the amount of heat created from tail stock.

    Using a steam boiler to make a venturi effect? Is that correct? The rushing steam brings air, that replaces the fan on the oil burner.
    Does it take long to bring the water up to temp?
    Can you fill it while its running?
    How long does the water last before it needs refilled?

      I think you and I are on the same page, I love these videos that show more about how they weld, cut and grind instead of what the hell they doing and why. Fancy tap on stuff with a square and it falls into two pieces, WHO CARES! How about do a drawing, a cut away showing how it all fits together and works! There is an endless supply of "WAYS" to fabricate stuff, what is missing IMO is the actual technical of what the heck they are building the how it works part. I think I get the idea as stated in other comments, steam assisted venturi to pull in more air replacing the electric fan. What if you skipped all the H2o and simply added a VENTURI? Install a longer exhaust stack maybe with a with a narrow spot in it.

    • @roberttill3787
      @roberttill3787 2 роки тому

      @@tomhubbard353 Even with a burner thats fan assisted the air introduced has to be regulated to get ideal fuel/Air mix. With fan assistance this is usually achieved by a adjustable flap in the air pipe between the blower and the burner, which can reduce or increase air supply as needed.

      Your idea of injecting water vapor directly into the E-pipe to observe the effects is an interesting concept. Injecting water vapor as steam into a system can have various applications, including for heating or humidifying purposes. However, the success of such a project would depend on the specific design, components, and intended use of the E-pipe and the feasibility of injecting water vapor safely and effectively.
      Before proceeding, it's crucial to consider safety measures, potential risks, and the compatibility of materials used in the E-pipe. Additionally, it would be helpful to consult with experts or conduct thorough research on steam injection systems to ensure that your project is both efficient and safe.
      Exploring innovative ideas can lead to exciting discoveries, so I encourage you to further investigate the feasibility of your concept and gather as much information as possible to make an informed decision. Good luck with your project, and thank you for sharing your idea!
