Matt Field has been a professional drifter for over a decade. His journey started long before that and we talk about his origins, current struggles, and his future. Matt started like most of us in the early days, with a Nissan, you’ll see which one. Matt is an example of what it looks like to go from having fun as a kid to creating a legacy in drifting. He has progressed not only his driving but his builds and now runs the Drift Cave which is Northern California’s premiere drift shop. Matt has two back to back 2nd place finishes in the Formula Drift season and will continue his fight to be the series champion.

The vibes from the early 2000’s days were real. Haha. Cutting school to get tires or go drive the same road he mentions and some of the other local Touge. Track days were rare. Autocrossers yelled at you or didn’t let you drive the rest of the event for “purposefully oversteering.” 🤣 late night meets at Q Cup, or play initial D at MGL. ❤
