@@AndreiRestrepo Certainly is! I’m starting my own business up in a similar line of work, can’t believe how much content people like you put out for free! It’s massively appreciated.
Newbie to your channel and newbie to photography! I'm selling my house and want to do the pics and video myself. Thank you so much for your helpful tips! Love your clear, straight forward videos in incredible quality! 👌✨
Hey! Thanks so much, truly appreciate it! Let me know if you have any additional questions, and best of luck with selling your home! 😊
@@AndreiRestrepo Thank you! Just followed you on Insta, might DM you there if I need help. 😊
I’m interested to start doing real estate videos here in Uk, this video will definitely help 🔥🎬
Hey! That’s awesome, so curious on how this business is done in other parts of the world. Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
It was my request and suggestion you have done with a great job and wonderful explanation, thank you so much, I hope it should be continue with a new ideas because you can't find in UA-cam like this content it's my challenge ☺️
I definitely will, thanks for your support! :)
Hey Andrei.. curious... what did you learn first, photography or videography? Would love to see some videos on how you edit real estate video footage... how you do the speed ramps etc. Thanks in advance, love all your videos, super informative and helpful.
Hey man! Thanks so much. I learned photography first, doing it for close to 10 years now, and video for probably half. I always said I wanted to fully understand and "master" photography the best I could and then learn video. It was much easier that way! Great video idea, as of now I think I've only shared some tips and one full video on color grading (ua-cam.com/video/YFgV2BwlVtI/v-deo.html) but I'll add that to my list! Thanks for watching
Great video!!! Exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks! If you're ever in north Italy I owe you dinner.
Thanks so much! Hope to make it there one day, greetings from TX!
@@AndreiRestrepo It's a beautiful area... really beautiful. See you here one day!
I did get hooked by the pouring the drink! Not sure what was happening. Gonna make me try to find a similar intro which leads to the ending
Yeah, I really liked how this one came out! Creative twist to the video. Thanks for watching!
Just started binge watching your realty videos and I think they are excellent and thoughtful in the process. For someone like me who is mostly a headshot and portrait photographer what is the best way to go after your first real estate client. How did you start out? Did you offer a lower rate for a couple of jobs then raise it once you built up samples in photo and video on realty work? What do you recommend starting out?
Hey Adrian! Thanks so much, truly appreciate that! Yep, that’s honestly one of the best ways to get into it, even possibly doing one for free if you have to, just have to get your foot in the door. Luckily my wife has always been in real estate so I had some connections to realtors. But my work was awful in the beginning, helped me out that I started working for a real estate photo company where I learned a lot. Thanks for watching man!
@@AndreiRestrepo Thanks for info, Andrei.. Have a great week! Some of my headshot clients are realtors, I could ask them if they would consider my work. I will keep watching your video tips, thanks again.
Do you use auto focus or manual focus when filming the agent? Also, if you're filming an agent and the walk from outside to inside in the same shot, how do you adjust for exposure mid shot? Thanks in advance!
I use AF on face or eye tracking for talking head shots! And yeah, unless the exposure is pretty even which it normally isn't inside and out, I just won't shoot something like that and would rather do it in 2 different clips to adjust exposure correctly before shooting the scene. Thanks for watching!
Killer video! Shots are looking great. Do you have LUT's from that video you shot? That image is so clean and vibrant.
Thanks so much! All I use is a base LUT to get back to Rec709 and I simply overlayed a creative LUT at 20-40% that is already in Premiere Pro funny enough! You can check out the base LUTS I use here! www.etsy.com/shop/andreirestrepo
@@AndreiRestrepo awesome, thanks so much for the answer! Really appreciate it.
Sir please share the smooth setting of your gimbal. Because all your shots are very smooth and jerk less.
Just mostly all slow settings! Smoothness set to high, headband set to high as well to avoid quick movements, and the overall movements set to slow speeds.
I am a bone inspector with awesome camera gear so I want to mix in real estate videos and maybe photos. I love your videos
Nice! What’s a bone inspector do?! Sounds so cool lol figured you meant a home inspector. Appreciate it so much!
@@AndreiRestrepo 😂. Yea
Nice Video my friend...I'm new to Real Estate Video shoots..Bought Sony ZV-E10 and mounted Sony 11mm f1.8 Lens...Kindly suggest some best option ND or Polarizes if required...
Nice! I don’t know too much about that camera, but the wide lens should work great. These are the polarizer & variable ND filters I use. Just find the one that’s the right size for your lens. bit.ly/3HJacJw
Do you have a video talking about real estate like this but with the editing part of the process?
I don't have one on editing on camera videos, but I do have a few just on real estate video editing! here's one: ua-cam.com/video/XVeIwVJ0JQQ/v-deo.htmlsi=hoQ62pKlZ4MsH3fD
Great video and tips, Andrei! What Canon mirrorles camera would you recommend for video (under 1,500) and gimbal that would allow horizontal and vertical shooting - cheers!!
Thanks! I’d recommend the DJI RS3 Mini, amazing small gimbal that natively supports both horizontal and vertical shooting. As far as a camera, you could look at a preowned EOS R, R6, or R7 or R8. Maybe the r10 as well. Websites like mpb.com are great for getting preowned gear at a good price and reliable too! That’s where I get most of my cameras and lenses
Thanks so much@@AndreiRestrepo !
@Andre Restrepo Was wondering if you could do a video on how to properly handle licensed audio from a platform like Epidemic sound with client work.
Hey Jarad! That’s a good video topic to include in one of my upcoming videos. But I think I can break it down pretty simple for you. Basically if you’re creating content just for yourself and your own channels, you just need the basic plan. But if you’re creating any content for clients and they post it on their own channels, you need a commercial plan. If their video ever gets a copyright claim, for example on UA-cam, you can go in to Epidemic Sound video and add the video link and clear it.
Hi Andrei, lots of great tips. What are your settings for rendering your videos for UA-cam?
Hey man! Sorry for the late reply, I saw your comment come in but I was just waiting till I was editing a video project again to let you know but I haven’t yet lol. I work in a 4k timeline, and pretty sure I export in the UA-cam 4k preset plus the gamma compensation LUT to keep the colors accurate to editing. I will definitely let you know if
@@AndreiRestrepo great thank you. I upload in HD. But doesn't seem as clear.
Hmm, try upscaling your video in 4K, even if it was shot in 1080 and you work in a 1080 timeline. I know it take YT a bit of time to process your video as well
What are your thoughts on adding the photographer's logo to every photo/video? Possibly in the bottom right corner or something
Hey Otzi! I tried it out in the beginning but just wasn’t a fan of it, ruins the image for me personally. Especially when I see other photographers put their logos like somewhere in the middle of the image. For video, we brand our videos by adding our logo at the end after the realtors, not throughout though. Thanks for watching!
What exactly is a Fuji film stock overlay?
Hey! It’s just a built in LUT in premiere pro. I color graded the footage from LOG back to a regular color profile, and then overlayed one of the built in film emulation LUTs over all the footage at 35-45%. The one I used in particular with is a Fujifilm based LUT, gave everything a more summer-vibrant feel. Hope this makes sense! Thanks for watching!
Great content. However, I disagree that shorter form videos are more engaging and get more views than longer form videos. Speaking from experience and as a real estate agent who also create videos for UA-cam, my videos usually average around 10 minutes and they are watched. In fact, there is a growing number of agents who are marketing real estate listings on UA-cam and like my videos, theirs are at least 10 minutes long. Two good examples of such channels are Enes Yilmazer and Lifestyle Production Group.
Hey! Thanks for your feedback, I can totally understand that! Funny enough, if we’re talking about UA-cam, then YES! Longer for sure! :) I guess because most of my realtors upload these to FB, instagram, or send them out in email campaigns where a long format doesn’t do as well. Appreciate your input, thanks for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo, Thanks for your response and for sharing your knowledge. I like the fact that we can learn from each other. Looking forward to your next video.
How do your agents use the video? Our MLS doesn't allow branded material to be linked with the listing. We just do a vertical reel and my clients only use it on their socials.
Same! We deliver 3 versions: branded, unbranded, and a vertical reel. All the agent branding on the branded, just the address on the unbranded, branding and whatever else on the vertical.
And also, they use the branded + reel for social, and just the unbranded for MLS
@@AndreiRestrepo Good work sir!
What platform did you use for freelance?
Hey! Not sure what you mean, I didn’t use any platform to offer freelancer services. Just after I got connected with a few realtors and they shared my work, word of mouth or social media referrals were the biggest lead in RE work. Thanks for watching!
Sir I have Zion Crane 4 Gimbal and Canon EOS R3 Camera. Whenever I take some video shots, my shots come out jerky and shaky. Please help.
Thank you sir.....❤️
You are a badass I want to be like you!!!!
Haha thanks so much! Appreciate you watching!
Do you have any colleagues I could work with in St. Pete / Tampa Bay?
Unfortunately I don't know of any in that area! Bummer, wish I could help out. Thanks for watching!
Had he took his sunglasses off as he was talking this would have been more professional. Eye contact is key over “looking cool”. But the video is great
Oh definitely! In this case I actually encouraged to keep the sunglasses on because when we tried it without, he was squinting really bad because of how bright it was. Thanks for watching!
how much do you charge for a video like that?
Our real estate video work starts $500 and can range up over +$1K. Thanks for watching!
