The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is a national repository of nuclear science and Smithsonian Affiliate. The United States only congressionally chartered museum in its nuclear field and an intriguing place to learn the story of the Atomic Age, from Robert Oppenheimer's Manhattan Project of nuclear/Atom Bomb development through today’s uses of nuclear technology. This was fascinating. We are planning to go see the Oppenheimer movie soon. This museum does a great job of illustrating the history of the atomic age. I had no idea so many products contain radioactivity. That doesn't sound great. It was really cool to see the planes outside and the replica of the trinity bomb. Very interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing this tour!
