  • This is my first video essay-like vid! I know I could have improved it in many ways (an I plan to improve this way in the future), but I enjoyed making this one very much so I hope you all do as well. Thank you!

Actually a really good video. I finished it, sent it to a friend. Went to like and sub, and saw low numbers. I legitimately thought this video was made by another million sub channel. Keep up the great work.

It's a common misconception that games need to be easy to play and win in order to appeal to a broad audience, but the success of games like DotA, Dark Souls, and Street Fighter have been making it clear for a long time that a game can be punishing or challenging to progress and complete, as long as there is some amount of fulfillment to be had by those coming in with little idea what they're getting into. In arcades we didn't put in an quarter/token expecting to beat the game, but we hoped to maybe beat a level or two. In DotA, even if one doesn't understand the strategy to win, they can feel good defeating some of the creeps and avoiding their lane rival. In Dark Souls, the basics of combat are fairly simple, and one has to learn how to exploit the system to get by since the game is going to be kinda cheesy in return.
To that end, even somebody who has very little idea of what's going on in Relink, they can turn on the full-auto assist options in the pause menu and play through almost all of the story chapters and have a blast. And if they got that far with assist options, by that point they've probably got enough experience to start learning how to play with manual character control if they really want to keep going.
Easy to start (in the sense of having fun, not necessarily easy to _win_) and hard to master.

Watching genshin streamers playing relink is so painful. They cant even use dodge, guard, combo and skill

40 days between updates is fine. Is not like the 75 days or 6 months as it was for Need for Speed World -__-
Plus, players and develoment must take a break
Beside, from my point of view, I still have a life to enjoy. . .

We all know that English is not your first language. Is not mine either. But instead of trying to speak as fast as you can, why don't you try to speak a bit, just a bit slower?

I really wanna make an entire vid about it after some schoolworks. It's the best pvp game I ever played for sure!
I'm going to mention it on my next video as well regarding some game industry stuff I hope you will see and like it!

You know it's a good video when it starts by cherry picking the easiest part of a boss fight in another game

I would argue childe is even easier but really, as an AR 60, there are no hard bosses for me in genshin, it's a baby game. Meanwhile I was blown away by how hard relink was at the endgame. I recently just unlocked proud difficulty and everything is now oneshotting me if I don't play correctly, it's such a refreshing challenge to experience after being baby'd by genshin for so long. It took me like 2 hours just to finally kill a boss and it was satisfying asf. Genshin could never.

@@joaquinchua3348 Childe is definitely easier, all the early bosses released have pathetic HP by current standards and unlike most he doesn't have mechanics that give him invincibility or put him out of attack reach to limit your DPS (very annoying btw). I wish they'd make a harder version but I know it will never happen.

Actually, i found Genshin to be harder when you avoid all the 5 star stuff.
But that just drives the point more. You shouldn't have to avoid mechanics just to make things harder.

Genshin need to "justify" people spending money by making 5* bonker and boss irrelevant by having them. Like every gacha game
