Thanks for sharing David. Looking forward to hearing more as you travel.
I had some interaction with the company today and it was good. I'll make another update next week
Good evening Mr. Dave and Mrs.Tania and Rv Family. Life.
Hi Douglas, y'all staying safe in the crazy weather?
Good luck with Connecten Dave.
I’m still 100% behind my Wingard 360 antenna with a Gateway modem.
It's working well for you?
I just my insty back out as well. Now to start using it again, especially if T-Mobile follows thru with their pricing plan. I have a T-Mobile data only plan that I use in the Insty, but you're right. The Tmobile "home internet" was much easier to use. No need to setup a antenna, pole, plug the USB cable in, etc. However, 160/month is costly. Good video Dave. Stay FRESH!
Which Insty do you have? I started with a 4g one and upgraded to a 5g later.
I have a 5G ANTENA on the roof of my camper van. I do not have a router, yet. I wish I knew how to get internet hooked-up in my van. This gentleman, David is very handy. He's lucky to have that skill.
I couldn’t ever afford that much . On Disability & single living in Rv 4 years . I use a type C cable to my cell with hdmi to tv watch everything from cell on tv . And it’s free .
I have never heard of this.
@@simpleme5719.... Amazon has adapters that will accomplish that
Your videos are great! We have learned a lot!

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
good luck hope it works out for you!!!! org vid of you ordering it and gave them a call seems like its one guy running the show or there using the same name lol ether way for me he failed the most important questions i asked and that was is there any Guarantee on price he said no he cant . so with that + the $99 activation fee + $200 rental fee and can only be returned with in 7 days that's a no go for me. this seems like a small overnight shop witch could shut down at any time like they have in the past with other small internet company's like this for now im gonna stay away
I had some more interactions today with the company and got a hold of Sean. I get the feeling it's a small company but not entirely a one man shop. It is true, if they went under our service would just die.
@@rvfamilylife ya witch seems to happen alot in this field works 1 day then the next goes bankrupt the next day lol
Would a VPN fix the T-MOBILE problem
I don't think so. If they actually have a GPS inside (a rumor but a well founded rumor) then they would use GPS to track where the modem is. VPN can't fix that.
Tmobile is very opportunistic the price is just too damn high!
Agreed
I would love to see a comparison with insty connect
Ours is on order also
Did you get yours yet?
@@rvfamilylife not yet maybe tomorrow
ok Davy, I could have used you at work on Wed!
I bet you could
Lmfaooooooooopooooooooooo🤭
is 33 down enough to stream movies?
Yes, but if you are someone that's really particular about video quality you may not like it. Sometimes the picture gets a bit fuzzy but then goes HD again. 4k may not work.
THANKS
I think it is way too much too! I still can't get over the fact that we are in such an age of technology that we have some crazy wild advances, but they can't make an internet/cell service that works everywhere under all conditions. Been crazy rainy here too. Just had some storms earlier. Rain 2-3" in a very short time. Flooded everything 🙄 What a pain. They couldn't have sent a unit that was already updated? Well it's good you got it up and running. Hopefully it will work for you. Guess you'll probably need to move around for a while until you know how well it will work. Nice "so far" update.
We are getting worn out with this weather. Tania said she kind of wanted to just hurry up and leave already. She's been woken up by Keira almost every night due to crazy thunderstorms. And Tania's art tent was destroyed.
@@rvfamilylife Oh NO! I feel for her. I was watching my container garden get pelted with hail yesterday. Cringed the whole time. I got lucky. Didn't last long and stayed pretty small. But our poor yard. I could have gone swimming. And I saw a weather forecast saying we may get it almost every day next week too 😔 We needed rain, badly. But not all at one time.
Not a single provider has coverage everywhere but no big deal if you can roam to who does seamlessly but there will still be holes.
Can you manually switch to say verizon or tbombile on the router to see which one is better. Not sure if att was the only provider where you are right now. Would be nice in the ui of the box to look at who has best signal. You could put external antennas on top of rv at some point to which might improve things even more.
unfortunately I have to be able to contact ConnecTen office to get the router to manually switch. It's currently designed to auto-pick the best signal in the area. I have some directional antenna, I just need a flag-pole/tower.
@@rvfamilylife Thats a shame - a UI for ease of switching would be great! I picked up a T-Mobile Internet 5 days ago due to a Verizon tower issue at our location - I heard 'rumor' of the 'Away Plan', so now I am waiting to read all release info tomorrow before I take it back in favor of 'another alternative'. As you, I am full time RV and Full time IT - I got to have reliable redundancy and no less than 600GB of data a month. Looking forward to updated review or your Connecten experience.
@@santalandchannel983 I remember when I put in a new wifi router at our house before we went Fulltime, and we were using close to 2TB per month. Blows my mind these internet companies want to cap the data usage, at the same time they want the refrigerator, the dryer, the doorbell, desk lamp and your pet to all have wifi connections.
👍👍👍
Did you ever get the other 2 antennas?
I did, there were 4 more antennas hiding in that box. I'll do one more update next Thursday and talk about my interactions today
Just stick with starlink ... forget all this other crap
🌲trees🌲
@@rvfamilylife you can get a crank up mast and use the pole attachment?
@@wesmagyar any recommendations?
No disrespect, but learn to rehearse and edit, you're way too wordy. It was over 3 minutes into your video before you got to the meat and potatoes. What you're doing is great, but if you want more subscribers, get to the point much more quickly.
Thanks for the critique
That seems like a very impatient comment.
@@evankalbach9985 What is it about my comment that seems impatient? I think he puts out interesting content, but doesn't do it very well. I think a sharp knife cuts the cleanest, so I offer direct and to the point advice. My comments are not personal attacks, basically they are direct customer feedback. If he gets better at his video presentations, I will probably subscribe. If not, he's a little long winded for me, so if he doesn't improve, I'll pass.

Another good video. Now that you've had the ConnecTen, I hope it's meet expectations.
Well, it has helped a few times, but it has honestly raised more questions than anything.
@@rvfamilylife Just watched your video about your impressions after one month.
Hi Dave - I have been using it for 7 months - It works great from Canada to Florida to Texas and back home - I am getting rid of my Canadian Bell Canada plan and using Connecten instead because its actually faster and unlimited and its only $13 more a month - enjoy - oh and get a HC
You're one of the people I was referencing when I decided to use the ConnecTen. I trust you, even though you need a haircut, eh.
trust no one Dave, trust no one GAHC !!!
@@rvfamilylife you definately should have received 8 antennas did you contact Taylor? others I know received 8 antennas
@@BoondockingWithBoomer Once I chatted with Sean he showed me where to find those 4 extra antenna in the box.
@@rvfamilylife ok cool glad you got it worked out
Thy are a great company we use them all arround
