    One advantage of the Flying Eagle F6 and the rollerblade is the metal plate in the boot, that makes the connection between the boots and the frames way more stronger, plus the energy transfer is excellent.

    You should put some things like widest fit and everything, i went for the rb 80 pro and these are fire for me knowing i have wide feet and high feet.

    • @ericbernardi8116
      @ericbernardi8116 Рік тому +2

      The Zoom has a wide fit... I also works for my high instep... Best for high feet would be FR with the open shell but has similar width as the RB.

    • @Erosennin450
      @Erosennin450 Рік тому +2

      I have narrow/slim foot would I be able to pick up a pair of FRX and tighten it like crazy to make it fit or get a pair of blades that are just more for narrow footer?

    • @ericbernardi8116
      @ericbernardi8116 Рік тому +4

      @@Erosennin450 difficult question... I think it also depends on, if your foot is on the lower or higher end of the shell size... Shell is dual size (even though they don't sell them that way), if you are on the low end, then the width is wider compared to lenght and if you are barely fit the shell lenght wise it will feel more narrow (hope that makes some sense 😅) But if you have really narrow feet you might not be happy once the liner has fully broken in (the shell won't get really much more smaller by cranking the laces)... I hope you have a chance to try in a store, you would feel immediately, if there is any sideways movement when they are new it won't work well 🙄 sorry so much text but not much help 🙇🏻

    Great video and excellent list of recommendation. I just got back into skating again after 20+ years. Not sure if you guys remember the Rollerblade Lightning TRS skates from the late 90's, they were the most comfortable skates and I would have them on for hours without feeling any discomfort. I was looking for something similar that eventually led me to the Powerslide Zoom 80 and they do not disappoint.

    I think the FILA NRK PRO Skate is one of the underestimated skates on the market, especially when you consider that you can sometimes buy this model for around 150,- euros by lowest price guarantee. I have make my own "Top 5 Urban Skates List" and listed all the pros and cons and the NRK PRO is by far my personal winner. I really couldn't find any cons for that low price and if you want a rockable skate like the frx from fr skates, then just change the front- and backweels against slightly smaller ones or grind them down a bit. Fila actually did everything right with this skate and listened to advice from the skate scene. Something like that should also be recognized accordingly. Otherwise a very good video guys, keep it up.
    PROS:
    -Comfortable and anatomical sporty fit liner (higher than the Cuff / high eyelets for stronger lacing / carrying straps / lateral Ventholes / bonded Shock Absorbers).
    -Specially padded Insoles.
    -Replaceable PU protectors (Extreme Slider) on the outerside of the boots.
    -Full composite cuff and shell with ventholes (good for heat and moisture regulation), padding of the calf ankles (upholstery stickers inside of the shell) and Heel Shock Absorbers (in addition to the absorbers on the bottom of the liner).
    -Extruded 6000 series Aluminium frame (2 arches 165mm / lowered profile / super lightweight / 243mm / forwards backwards and sideways adjustable).
    -Aluminium Spacers (better remove).
    -Aluminium race Axles (only one Allen Key needed to losen / lighter than Steel / only one peace / modern).
    -Micro metric Aluminium Buckle lever on the ankle 45° (can be solved for exchange).
    -The Cuff ist mounted with Allen Key rivets (can be solved for exchange / maybee the Allen Key rivets are "rockable" like with other Fila models!?).
    -Micro metric Aluminium Buckle lever on the Instep (can be solved for exchange).
    -Metal mounting plates in the Boot (For better power transmission when skating / similar to the better models of "Rollerblade" or "FR Skates").
    -Nice "All Black" Design.
    -80mm Urban Wheels with a hardness of 84a and solid cores.
    -ABEC 7 Bearings (6080ZZ).
    -Skate is customisable with the available Fila Accessoires.
    -Sparparts are available.
    -longnterm proven model.
    CONS:
    -No additional laces for the Liner.
    -No brake included (but these only costs about 13,- euros if required).
    -FILA may not have the reputation of Powerslide, Roces, FR, Rollerblade or other popular manufacturer. (I don't mind if it's a good skate)
    I'm sorry if there are mistakes in the text.
    Greetings from Germany 😊👋🏻

    1. FR X (orange is just sick 😎) great for high instep with the open shell, best stock liner...
    2. Micro MT plus (also comes in fun colors 😝) Almost same as FR X, has a higher cuff for those who want a bit of extra support...
    3. Powerslide Zoom with Trinity: wide fitting shell, supportive boot. Downside to me, riveted cuff has a lot of forward flex...
    4. Powerslide Swell lite: Semi-Soft boot with liner, very snug fit, light and responsive, comes with a heel break... I only have the old version where the cuff is a bit flimsy and riveted with a ton of flex, I think they improved it on the new version 🤔
    5. I have no more budget skates but I guess it would be RB Cruiser, only tried the 110 in the shop, the shell fits very nice and the liner is comfy but I had a bad heel lock and can't lace up the liner, so didn't buy 😢

    I wanted to buy a pair from Loco skates but wasn't sure of the fit. Since I live closer to London, I chose Slick Willies instead. Shame that Loco don't have a branch in London or Brighton.
    I went in with my heart set on FR FRX from all the videos online but I'm so glad I didn't purchase them. There's one big and one not so big reason for this.
    BIG Reason: FR, although they've designed a very nice looking boot with great lace fastening, it's too narrow in the mid section of the footbed. Now, a lot of people will say that you can break them in as you use them. However, the fact is that you break in the liner, not the shell! So, if they feel too tight because of the shell, it's a bad idea to purchase them.
    Not so big reason: I reckon the Velcro strap fastener in the mid section of the boot will not do a good job at pushing your foot all the way to the heel of the boot as the liner starts to wear out a bit and feels thinner.
    I ended up buying the RollerBlade Cruiser and am fairly happy with them so far. Let me know if you'd like me to do a detailed review of them, especially for new skaters or people who are getting back into rollerblading after a long break!

    Great video, I'm not into budget skates anymore, but good for people starting out. Regarding the break, this is something Veterans have to consider because most people prefer having that break in the beginning. Also I don't get why companies like powerslide put so much effort into making 3x100 or 3x110 happen. Seems nice for marathon skaters but I don't really get the point of it for people just starting out dealing with pronation, ankle pain etc.

    You ever consider color-coding the horizontal shelves that hold up the skates on that plywood wall? I get the plywood aesthetic. It's neat, but the lack of color is a little bland. You could paint just those shelves to give some accent color and it would actually help customers to identify the models too. Whether it's friends who came in together talking amongst themselves, a kid explaining their wishes to a parent, or any customer speaking to a salesperson you don't want them to have to say things like "I like those black ones in the second row from the top in the third column from the right. No, from the right. The ones with the white laces. No, the ones to *the left* of those ones with the small wheels". It'd be much easier to just say "The ones on the green shelf in the top row. If they walk away from the display and come back to browse again they can easily remember which ones they had been looking at; The ones on the green shelf in the top row. When they go to a salesperson to ask to try something on they only have to say "The ones on the green shelf in the top row".

    All great picks. I've got the Cruiser and it was awesome to find an urban/rec boot that's supportive but also has a decent width to it.
    I was a little surprised not to see Micro make the list. They seem to have a few models in that price point, including a 3x110 setup. I know that's not always what a beginner skater is looking for, but not a bad value.

    • @Vitobandito434
      @Vitobandito434 Рік тому

      I'm glad you like the Cruiser. Have you tried rockering them? I'm about to purchase my first pair of inline skates and am looking at the Cruiser. I have skated on the Max 80 and I like how well they fit and how comfy they are, so I'm assuming the fit and comfort are similar. But I'm more of an ice skater, so I think I'd be more comfortable with a rocker or at least something more maneuverable than the Max 80, which is really more of a fitness skate.

    • @Rollerbalder
      @Rollerbalder Рік тому

      @@Vitobandito434 I'm actually skating the Cruiser with a different frame -- the Endless 90. So the wheels are larger, but the really nice thing about the frame is that it has a built-in rocker. I think you're probably right that you'd like something with a little rocker. You could always swap frames later!

    If my shoe size is 11.5 what size would I get for FR FRX which claims to usually fit a whole size smaller, should I get the US 12 or US 13 from Loco?

    • @LocoSkates
      @LocoSkates  20 днів тому

      So, the US12 would be the one to go for. This is because the shell sizes are a choice of us10-11 and us12-13. The 10-11 will be too small for you for sure. The 12-13 will be the right size, but you dont need to go all the way up to a US13 because the 12 and the 13 fell almost identical due to the shell sizing.

    Is there a skate made with plastic that can be safely shaped using heat? Skates are still in the past century in terms of fitment while a quiet revolution is taking place in boots and shoes for at least ten years now. Too many people accept footwear that fits poorly. Ski boots have come close to making fitment acceptable. My feet are extraordinary from an engineering perspective, excellent in fact. But they exceed the volumetric scale. Several ski boots can be shaped with heat to fit. Are there any skates that could be volumetrically expanded like a ski boot?
