"impact seems really bad" *proceeds to oneshot the boss with impact*
The final boss attack pattern is surprisingly complex compared to how simple the rest of the enemies are, it's pretty cool how this has the turn based movement system old roguelikes/true roguelikes (like Rogue) had too. There probably needs to be some zone delineation because everything looking the same is a bit underwhelming but tactically this seems like a gem especially coz there might be spell chains and sequences too. Whenever a game manages to achieve emergent complexity it's always impressive.
It’s the same kind of thing with all of the other bosses as well. They all have very unique attacks and also have personality and aren’t just mindless goons.
“Let’s see if anyone recognizes the music” Excuse me sir, if you don’t think I’d recognize the sultry electronic beats of “DJ Hero” you are sorely mistaken. I’d have to be on death’s door before I forgot about these bumping beats
In case u didn't figure it out it tells you what A and B are on the weapon. It says impact 1x3 A is 1 B is 3
This one seems cool, would love to see more of either this, or other games that are similar to the grid movement style of this

It feels like Hyper Light Drifter and Crypt of the Necrodancer had a baby.
Also, something that was added in the most recent update was the ability to lock certain weapons out of a run so you can get more of the same weapon, the max is 28.
one cool detail is that the number next to Sven in dialogue corresponds to the amount of deaths you’ve had. Eg;first time playing he will be Sven 1, but after dying 20 times it will be Sven 21. very neat
this has become one of my top 3 favourite rogue likes of all time. I fucking love this game

In case you didn’t know already you can lock chips to activate them later.
Assuming the tiles are 1x1 squares, I think the way impact works is that if you had an enemy in the tile in front of you and then an enemy in the tile behind them then the first enemy would receive 1 damage and the second enemy would receive 2 damage?
There must be an easier way for them to describe Impact lol.
so the way impact works is basically just extending the hitbox of the weapon, the extended hitbox/impact damage is less than the base damage. So it just extends the hitbox of the weapon which also makes it EXTREMELY good for enemies or bosses with a large hitbox. They definitely could have worded it better but once you use the weapons more you understand them more
