Lovely video. As always. Reached out previously but Will now move to the area in July definitely. My longboard is surely coming. Not sure about my windsurfing gear as it is a long trip and stuff is bulky. kids’ toys take prority. Am still at non-planing stage. Some beach starting works, in deep water I still up-haul start. Got a 155l board and two old sails. Is crow point safe enough to learn and progress? Is there good value used material available in the area as an alternative? Thanks for sharing and taking the time. On an incoming tide, the worse that could happen is you could drift up the river towards Barnstaple, at the worst on an outgoing tide you could end up in the estuary mouth, which is not ideal. If you are confident uphauling and sailing on all points of sail non-planning you would be ok. To be safe, get a waterproof case for your phone I use an Aquapac and put it around my neck and inside wetsuit(I still do this if not many people out). I'm afraid there's not much second-hand stuff around here, just occasionally on the Facebook marketplace. Hope this helps and hopefully see you windsurfing or surfing in July!
