Thanks for making it to Bogotá. The rib soup is called Caldo de Costilla, and it’s my fave when there. Also, the Changua is made with milk, not cream. Jugó de Lulo is absolutely the best juice after a day spent walking the city.

I grew up in Bogota. The food is so delicious, it’s no wonder I was overweight as a child.

Bogota being perpetually 64F/17C as a high and a 6:30 sundown means that Sopa Ajiaco is *always* in season. My wife and I routinely ordered it from a place called something like La Cocina de la Abuela" (Grandma's Kitchen) every Sunday. I miss it dearly.
Meats and sausages were good, especially after climbing Monserrate. Trucha was fantastic. Also used to get rotisserie chickens from El Pecherojo which were basically pollo crack. They even came with a free handful of small potatoes.
Hate to say it, but didn't really like arepas, the little tiny corn hockey pucks, but loved the awesome "not first date food" Venezolano types packed with meat, veg and cheese.
And if you order chicken wings (alitas) in Bogota, was routine for the places to hand out disposable gloves to eat them with.
Finally, try some aguardiente (I'd recommend Aguardiente Antioqueño Sin Azucar/Sugar Free) and once you've had it a time or two, upgrade to their Aguardiente Real, the "Royal". It's amazing.

Very accurate!!! Really delicious food! Next time, try ‘Ternera a la Llamera’ (wood grilled veal) from the Llamos orientales (east plains) and plantain soups!! Great video!

This brings back memories of toast and cheese for breakfast. Before my wife I had a Colombian girlfriend and I felt that Colombians lived in wine and cheese

That chocolate with cheese reminds me of the hot chocolate with egg that Vietnam has!

The reason why You have 400+ videos and only 30K subs is because your videos are simply not better than google. You tell people what to have.. but you are not telling people where to go, when to go and how much it will cost to have all that food. Your videos are informative.. but v v useless. Thats sad cause you have amazing energy!

where's the good eats?( lived there several months got diarrhea more times than my entire life in the U.S)
those people don't know anything about seasoning, they only know how to make pollo dorado which taste like a fried leather shoe or pollo sudado which is boiled chicken no seasoning they put sautéed tomatoes and onions on it, I'm no chef but I guarantee I can cook better than some of those people that own restaurants in Bogota Colombia
