My problem is the USB ports on mine will not charge my phone it will only Power an additional light I gutted one and glue to Power Bank inside of it I'm not sure if anyone else has a problem with the same thing but I noticed he didn't plug anything into the USB port now it has a power bank glued into the lamp and hardwired into the light so far so good I just still can't power anything major off of the USB port
Good question and I found the same but, it's actually their choice of using this faulty USB port. If you flip the USB around, it will charge. The center tab thing (it's not supposed to be centered) on the USB port actually moved, so it allowed me to incorrectly insert the non-contact side, thus nothing is connecting. Flip it and it works again. I've never seen any USB port does that, but this one is funky.
My problem is it won't charge anything until you turn the light on which means they just really want to sell more batteries why would they make a device that only charges something when the lights on so I went ahead and dismantled it took a couple of old laptop batteries wired them in there and now mine is rechargeable in the port inside with the battery pack will charge while it's off
My follow up gripe is that the light is too darn bright and needs some shield to deflect it from direct path to the eyes. My solution is wrapping it with a large giant side post-it type note that has self adhesive, you can simply use other paper and scotch tape wrap the darn thing around.
Same here!! Do I looked for instructions on is there a way to press the button so it stays on longer? I have 10 of these and at some point they all start doing this. Aggravating!!!
Surprisingly, I bought 4, 3000 lumen rechargeable lanterns at Menards for $12.99 a piece. Recharges from dead in about 3hrs and they have 3 settings. You would think that as big as a company as Duracell is, they'd put out better products. I bought Duracell solar lights yrs ago, when solar lights started becoming a thing and they had Chinese knockoff batteries in them and they lasted about 2 weeks and stopped putting out light. I won't but Duracell products again!
You are unable to charge rechargeable batteries via the USB port you should get it and grab some e-cigarettes dismantle them take the charging port and batteries out and put them in the Lantern
I don’t think people understand how great of a product this is. How else are you going to charge your usb devices with batteries? Your power banks will only last you so long unless you spend a thousand dollar and a heavy AC power bank. You can throw a bunch of C batteries in a bag and be able to charge your phone after your power banks are depleted. I’m just curious how many watts the USB port outputs.
Update, it’s way too slow to charge a modern cell phone, but it’s great for charging low wattage devices like a vape pen or my cats LED collar we use while camping! I don’t have a tester and Duracell didn’t specify the volts/amps/watts

How long does it take to charge the internal battery via usb c ?
I don't think that USB is for charging the battery for the lantern, rather it uses its battery to charge other devices, like your phones or ipads etc.
