    I would LOVE to have an episode where you talk about Christian Fundamentalism. I love watching Fundie fridays and it would be really interesting to have your take on the some of the culty fundies.

    Owner of a 7lb senior chihuahua and I can confirm that they can be litter box trained. Add an automatic feeder and water fountain and you too can turn your dog into a cat who just likes to go on walk sometimes.

      Lol cat who walks sometimes. I babysat a senior dog after school till the owner came home. She learned to use pee pads when no one was home. She did make messes on the floor, but only if she had to poop and her butt moved the pad out of the way. She was a CHONK

    + if you want to spiral about patriarchal Christian cults look into the Quiverful movement. That's what the Duggars are, and a lot of powerful far right people too. Super scary.

    The Labrants also pulled the oldest out of school so she could watch the younger kids.
    I don't think we'll see much change until more of these kids grow up and make videos or write books about their experiences. There's been some stuff that's come out but it's been anonymous.

    In foster care one of my families had up to 8 children they were fostering from ages 3 to 16, they only fostered us because the more children you foster the more money you make. We were all individually abused and one day my foster mom was on different medication and got rid of all of us. They then went and adopted my other 7 foster siblings except me because i was "too high maintenance". Foster care sucks

    People are really obsessed with children 🥴 I follow a lesbian couple on Instagram and people were so upset when they said they wouldn't show baby's face or their date birth, or even doing gender reveal bc they don't care about baby's gender. I still see comments like "oh it's so sad that we won't know/see" AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY UNFOLLOWED THEIR ACCOUNT bc of that reason, some even said that "i was following you only for that" man it's messed up

  • @miasoup1958
    @miasoup1958 Рік тому +2

    I feel like a lot of this can be explained by studies that show that when people have children their own emotional growth stops to foster the emotional growth of their children, but this means you have someone emotionally 17-20 (in the case of many family bloggers) with several children.

    I once had a family vlog channel come into the restaurant i work at, mind u I had no idea who these people were so i gave them the service i usually do for all people, it was a slow day so my attention was fully on them (they were very needy) they racked up nearly a $200 bill and tipped like absolute crap. The reason i found out they were a vlog channel is because i saw them get into their modified tesla with their family name on their license plate, so i googled the name and saw they had millions of followers. gotta love the service industry in california, truly exposing the worst

    CPS seriously needs to add a clause about social, emotional, online exploitation.
    Obviously $exual exploitation is already a part of what CPS considers abuse, but we as a country really need to add emotional exploitation as a part of abuse and neglect

    Hey, just to let you know some CPS workers are insane and they don't make sense. My mom whipped me with a vacuum cord before cps came (I said no to vacuuming because I wanted to show cps how we lived. Mom only cleaned when people came which was almost never). And the cps lady said 'you should've vacuumed' when I showed her. So all cps did was anger my parents. I'm 26. Haven't talked to them in years. But I'm broke. And broken. And the system isn't there to help you.

    Maybe you guys should just do an episode on "Abusive parents" . I know it might not go with the topics you guys usually choose but just listening to Sarah talk about her childhood sometimes reminds me of the shit i went through and answers some of the questions. Also, if keep thinking if i had only heard someone talk about this and call it abuse maybe i too could have realized it earlier? So maybe it will help some young people who don't realize the shitty whole they are in rn.

    My thing is every little kid grows into a teen and teens are known for acting out and rebelling and questioning authority. I think kids like everly will easily have their Disney child star moments and that will be hard to watch. But these parents have no idea the power shift that’s going to happen when the kids get their own voices. They’ll be ruined

    Julie Vallow 😂 but yeah Laurie Vallow, it's complex because it seems like she was complicit in creating the cult if that makes sense. She was the other half of it. It doesn't seem like she directly killed her kids herself but she perhaps had her brother do it, the brother definitely killed her then-husband and then he himself died later suspiciously. Her new husband and co conspirator also now is being charged with killing his own-then wife. It's madness

    • @plutonium2
      @plutonium2 Рік тому

      The reason she came up was the religious delusion. She had her kids killed I agree but due to delusions. I don’t think we need the specifier of her brother as we don’t know. She is the situation as a whole so her name works until we do.

    • @plutonium2
      @plutonium2 Рік тому

      That’s not true. She believed herself and her husband to be prophets. That’s the definition of religious delusion

    • @jsanto210
      @jsanto210 Рік тому

      @@plutonium2 it's stops being the case when she hid what she did to her kids; she murdered them both, and orchestrated the death of her late husband. She was in the wind for months after having killed her kids, hid everything she did and still has not shown an ounce of remorse. I believe she thought herself as divine and powerful, but I'd wager that's more based in narcissism than it is in delusions

    • @plutonium2
      @plutonium2 Рік тому

      @@jsanto210 go ahead and wager what ya like princess but it was religious delusion so I’m not sure why you’re correcting Kendahl. Lori Vallow thought she was a god and was capable of sendjbf her kids to a higher dimension so she did it. She was on the run, yes, because she didn’t think she did anything wrong bc she THOUGHT SHE WAS GOD. The delusion doesn’t have to be you’re hyper religious with a former religion. Religious Hyper mania is also believing you’re god, like her. Stop being so smug you’re not the only person here who watches Steph Harlowe

    I will tell you my rules for my kids about the internet. I have 2 adult daughters. They were not allowed to post pictures of themselves online. My older daughter wanted a fb account way back and I set it up to send me notifications of any activity so I could make sure no creeps were friending her. Her profile pic was a giraffe. She got disinterested and instead preferred real life social activities. I always let them have their friends over. Better to have the kids at your house than having them communicate online from a couple miles away. Also no smart phone till age 17. One of them had a snap chat but her and her friend only posted pics of spoons, that was during the 'I am not eating with forks anymore' stage.. Before that they only got flip phones. They don't have those now. I dont know how to protect your kids from the internet nowadays. But I didn't have social media, so they didn't see me online posting shit. They learn by example. Now they are amazing women. They don't care about social media. They live in the real world.
