I had a yamaha quiet tech and currently have a lithium battery electric 4 seater. I absolutely love the convenience of plugging in. No more gas stations for me

The nature trail by the swamp looks gorgeous!!! I know you mentioned the Cottonmouth snake….are snakes present frequently, especially around your yard or home? We are terrified of them and worry we will have to deal with them.

We have owned both gas (1st) and electric golf carts. As you have probably found out by now people are passionate about one or the other. Of the 2 we prefer the electric and specifically lithium batteries. No maintenance and so much easier to maintain vs the gas carts. With the gas we found them to be much louder and smelly with the exhaust fumes constantly filling gas cans checking the oil and all the things that come with a gas engine. Because you y’all own a Tesla I know you will enjoy the lithium battery powered carts as well. Happy shopping, there are a number of good options for you to choose from.

I will be turning 40 in May and my man turns 45 next week. We are a 'DINK' relationship - dual income, no kids. After watching y'all, I'm convinced we need to move there in 10 years when he turns 55! We love classic rock, bocce, shuffleboard and love live music. I've been watching all the Villages videos and now just to convince the man! Maybe we can learn golf and that will tip the scales. 10 years ago, in our late 20's, we went to all the music festivals and now we're a *bit* out of place, too old and don't party (as hard) as we used to. Maybe the nightly music in the squares would be our cup of tea or beer! Curious - but I thought you had said y'all are only there for a year??? I know you did RV life before. Why only for a year?

Thanks! We are going to be at The Villages for hopefully a very long time (maybe forever). We may only be in our current Patio Villa for 1 or 2 years before selling and buying our next home in TV. The average person moves 3 or 4 times to different homes in TV during their life at The Villages. Some move to downsize and some move to upsize. Some move to be closer to different amenities or to be closer to friends they make here at TV. Will address this more in future videos.

Hey guys, from Cason Hammock! Just FYI on a golf car. We moved to TV after living for 28 years in Sarasota. We have lived in our current Village for 2 years now and we have one golf car. It is a lithium Star 2+2 (rear seat facing backward). I play golf with a men's group from our village every week and I have never had a problem with power. I have played at Silver Lake which is 20 miles away from home. I was able to go to and from with 9 holes of golf and a quick stop on the way home. After 40 +/- miles, 9 holes of golf and a stop I still had 40% battery left. If I have the opportunity financially to obtain a 2nd golf car, it will be another Star lithium 2 seater. The only caveat is to make sure the battery stays charged but, as a Tesla owner, you are already aware of that.
You mentioned a furniture store. Florida has a unique style of light colored furniture. Could you walk us through a few furniture stores that highlights the Florida lifestyle? Still waiting on your home revealing. Jude

Great video Michael and Tiffany! Also check out the Chili fest/ Craft beer fest on Feb 3 @ Lake Sumter, it's a lot of fun! RE: golf car, check around anywhere carts are parked and you will see a whopping majority of the cars are Yamaha Quietech GAS, and there is a reason for that. You will be spending a LOT of time in your golf car. Get one that has no range problems and is all day comfortable. We often take off with no destination in mind and just explore for hours and miles at a time! Our Yamaha Quietechs are very well made and so far no problems after over 3000 miles last year.

They are different than other Villages You-Tubers & I really enjoy them, even though we don't plan to move there.

We own two Carts, both purchased at TV GC in SS, started with the one but went to hers and his both Yamaha with the hard sides. Enjoy having the convenience of two carts. We live near asks and have done a number of cart rides south, using different pools and watching the expansion. From our house to the new school by GC is about two hours each way.

With your gift certificate, see if they’ll let you use an electric cart for the first half of the week and a gas cart for the last part of the week. See what you enjoy most before you buy!

As a Tesla owner, I went electric and do not regret it at all. We have gone 55 miles with no issue. I can’t stand the smell anymore of gas gold carts.

Good question! We thought about it but it just has regular golf cart batteries. We would have to upgrade it with lithium batteries. Will discuss more about that as we rent and shop for golf carts soon. Thanks!

I recommend you purchase an electric golf cart. Since you will probably be recording video from the cart the audio will be much quieter. I enjoy watching the Villages Newcomers cart videos… except for the noise of their gas golf cart.

You basically belong to vha without registering. How about looking into the POA. Property Owners Association of the Villages. I always was wondering how much power the residents really have with the VHA since as you can see by all the gifts, the villages seems to be in control of vha. You will find the parking problem at all the other big events. Any of the “festivals”, NYE, the Christmas tree lightings. After 10 yrs we don’t even bother with those events. So many other retirement communities near Spanish Springs and so many other cities feeding into the crowds. You don’t have to be a villages resident to attend any of the events in the squares. Prefer Clark.
