This is amazing. I wish I knew why the piano sound is so odd -- but I don't mind so much, it's terrific to hear all these examples. I teach this book in my improvisation class, but I am not a pianist -- so it's incredibly useful to have this resource.
After a year of studying the art of figured bass, I am back here and I can say those studies have really paid off. I understand these things a lot better now.
I think its important to mention(it is at description but not everyone reads) that those are the examples from the book. The book is pretty much for teaching improvisation for like cadenzas, fantasias, improptus, etc.. What you are seeing are just examples of things Czerny talks in the book.
El de bach proviene del "clave bien temperado" (libro II) es de la fuga 22 y el de beethoven sale de la obertura de "Fidelio", se desconoce la procedencia de los temas de gluck y cherubini
Perhaps you missed the point of learning how to improvise if you think one ought still follow the scores exact notation and direction when it is trying to teach you to detach yourself from being shackled from what the score says!
57:42 From Amadeus movie when Mozart improvises over Salieri's melody?

What do you refer to when you mention "the art of figured bass", some specific source?

Very peculiar set of exercises.....I think unique in history of music .... astonishing ....
Not exercises per se. It's more of an improvisation manual. Possible ways to "prelude" with a certain motif or cadence.
These are meant to be studied mentally and aurally rather than physically.
Excellente vidéo. J'attend l'opus 300 avec impatience.
In progress...
Wait. Is the idea behind these exercises is that they should each be played in all keys?
Yes, in order to assimilate their vocabulary and achieve flexible improvisation skills.
Combinations of several improvisations on themes by famous composers can be performed on concert stages.

50:47 For this potpourri, I only know the Händel, Haydn and Mozart themes. I wonder what are the other themes?

Music Harmony and Improvisation ?
If God would have composed he would have composed like Czerny
Orrrrr...are they ideas on which to improvise?
I think they are what they call pattern on piano jazz. Think something similiar
Afaik its like a book showing ideas on how to improvise
check out the book on imslp. He explain how to improvise and these are examples and exercises.
Я б сказала, що темп виконання завищений, а якість звуку занадто уривчаста (тобто, майже скрізь - стаккато, коли в нотах стоїть "легато". )
