Very much agree with you. 17 inch wheels don't look good on a classic truck. 15 inch wheels with a 5 lug bolt pattern are really hard to find. Summit racing wheels is what I used Did a great job with the rallies. 👍
1957collectorboy Thanks! 235/70/15. No rub at all just a little tricky to get into place. Jack up the frame instead of the axle and they’ll fit no problem.
GunPilot Thanks! Those are 235/70/15 BFGs. I was going to go a little larger but I think these worked out well. For 530 bucks including shipping from Amazon they were hard to beat.
couple years later how is this holding up for you? anything you would do differently? i am looking for this exact look and going to do this mod i think.
I actually sold it not long after this. They held up well for me but I think the way the caps are attached could use some improvement. Never lost any of them though.
I really like your truck, and your wheel mod made it 100x cooler.
Wow! Looks Amazing! Good job.
I really appreciate you taking the time out to show us. I have all the parts now to do this.
You are the man!! This is exactly what I'm wanting to do to my 63 c10 with the truck rally wheels. Thanks for this!!
David Aday you’re very welcome. Glad I could help!
Looks way more cool with the white rims 👍 cool truck, sir
That's a slick looking Rallye! Great idea!
Very clean job

Those baby moon caps are the center cap for an aluminum semi truck front steer axle wheel
Im wondering how fast were you going when they flew off?
That's awesome where did you buy the moon's what size
Nice, exactly what I needed to do on my truck rally's because mine dont allow to snap the moons on. Did they end up holding up while driving?
They held up very well. Never had a problem with them. 👍
I saw this crome moon caps for sale at the chrome truck shop. Semi truck stop
If anyone is interested
Love that look. What size tires are those? and do they rub at all in the back.

Very nice. Pondering the same issue on my "in progress" '58 Ford F100. Great idea and tip. What size tires are those? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! I did not. Didn’t want to scrape the paint.
Drivers door needed more coats of paint
