What a battle with Ickx! Shows one of the things I love most about this game - how it feels like you're racing a person, not a bot. Fantastic pass...I would have chickened out with those walls looming!
Oof, that pass on Ickx at the Paddock Bend chicane - but this is the same person that passed Jim Clark at the Dipper for the Tasman Trophy. Truly, edge of the seat entertainment courtesy of Richie Axelson.
These videos are a real treat for fans of old motor racing especially when mixed with a pc game experience such as GPL. I also try to keep an eye on the live feeds on You Tube and try and mix the real world events such as Donington classic racing today with my pc experience to see how they compare. When I watch these videos I feel more like I am watching a documentary. Great work!
My local track, only live a couple of miles from it. Love going there to see older and newer cars on "track days" always free to spectate and you can view from the top of the pit building. *West Sussex not Suffolk
Because they were. The chicane walls at Goodwood were originally made of brick. When they revived the track, they had to use polystyrene for safety purposes.
@@jamesbehra2690 Of All of the Goodwood Events I think Revival is the because of the Atsmosphere also somehow i managed to work on Jackie Stewarts F3 cooper buy buying an Ice cream and the mechanic asked me for some help. But goodwood members meeting is better beacuse you can walk anywhere you want.
Wonderful video. Thanks! Does the AI mimic the speed and skill of the real drivers? Also what equipment are you using - wheel, pedals, and especially shifter? Ps Those stands just past the pits on the left aren’t there anymore, right?
At least this version of Goodwood Motor Circuit is much better, than what is available in rFactor at the moment. That also came from GPL, apparently, but that is an earlier, rather inaccurate version.
That pass on Ickx. Definetly nominated to best overtake of the season
I absolutely love this channel, it's kept me sane during lockdown when I've not been able to go out on track. Keep them coming!!
Your a racer

Indeed i think it´s his point doing this content, and not necessarily just gameplays.
The pass on Clark was pretty impressive.

Your emotions bring it to another level while watching :D
That overtake on Ickx was amazing!
Racing with Richie Axelson is always an edge-of-your-seat experience!
Great racing mate, very exciting after you passed Ickx. Those walls on the chicane are nasty looking !

Great cars in the spectator parking lot by the stands - XKE, XK120, MGB, Lotus Cortina, Morris Minor Van, Double Decker Bus!
New drinking game. Take a shot every time he "floats it in "
Its like driving a boat
Excellent racing! great stuff. can you believe yourself saying " I'm stuck in behind Jim Clark" :)
St. Mary's is my favorite corner, it's twice as good in these cars. Good stuff all round!
Nice off camber corners here after those Cheshire grin banked turns of Oulton Park
Goodwood is my Home track, I would love to see more races there like Goodwood Revival
Youre a lucky guy. I love Goodwood channel although i never went to the event.

@@christopherbudd7242 I intend to be there one day... for sure!
Get this guy to 100k!
That move at 8:40 doe...
You are leading all of us back to 66 Jake. Could you tell me where to find the graphical updates the track looks superb.
The level of detail is wonderful. Was thinking the same thing with Oulton Park too.
OMG ...the pass over Ickx....
what a race!
Exciting! We like exiting!!! lol

great stuff
I'm not sure regarding that version of Goodwood - it feels a touch short, and St. Mary's is too quick.
Was that final chicane there in 1966? I always assumed it was a more modern addition
Yes it was.
The Chicane was added in 52. So definitely.
@@VonBlade I know mate... and well preserved till today.
@@jamesbehra2690 your reply wasn't there when I replied. Sorry about that.
@@VonBlade oh no worries! i´m in "F1 mode" this weekiend more than ever we have our own GP at Portimão. Salute!
