Chris has so much personality that he only gets to show on podcasts like this. Wish Sportsnet gave him more leeway to goof around instead of just being the ultra-professional reporter all the time.

My Oilers fans think a lot about: what-if crucial moments/decisions had broken in their favour instead, how differently could their recent history look?
It could be healthy to remind ourselves on the other hand *how much w~o~r~s~e* it could look, and the alternate-reality Buffalo Oilers should provide that opportunity.
God what a great episode. CJ just brings it to another level of entertainment.

I still can’t believe some oiler fan made fun of Adam for his divorce, I know I’m not even close to a personal friend of Adam by any means and I can see why he thinks it’s funny but my god
Divorce? I've been married twice. (so far -- I've already established a learning disability in that regard) I refer to my "ex" as "My first, and so far, least favorite wife". My current wife is "My current, and so far, most favorite wife." When in doubt, no one will ever fault you for accuracy.
I love CJ when he comes on. I love his personality when he can show it

@@mistyfarber8857 I'd give dnvr or locked on avalanche podcast a look if you want avs podcasts, but dnvr right now is pretty meh and they're very down on the team, I think too much
@@nickymolitoris799 I watched one of the first episodes,iirc, and was bored to tears. Sounded like the droning of the stock report on a.m. radio. I'm almost positive that was DNVR.

@@nickymolitoris799 I can't say I'm not disappointed about last season, but, I really believe in GMJS. I just don't see the point of running down the Avs at this time. I realize they are probably not going to be able to be as deep, but there is too much reason to look forward, rather than go through the dredges of doubt and the "what ifs", as many other teams are doing with legitimate reasons.

Love this podcast have not laughed that hard in a long time for three days now all I can think is saying divorce after everything lmao peanut butter. Divorce instant classic.
Offer sheets have the draft picks set up so that they can't really work ... because if you want to offer so much the other team won't match it pretty much has to get to 10-11m plus ... and then you're in the 4 firsts range ... so then you are giving up massive cap space *and* four firsts ... it's not a good deal. By comparison, when you sign a UFA you give up massive cap space but no other assets (yes RFAs are (much) more valuable because they're younger but not 4 firsts valuable).

Adam's comments about his divorce are pretty cringeworthy. He's taking his psychiatrist's recommendations to the extreme between commercials about shaving your balls.

After listening to CJ point on defenseman, I guess Dubas was right to protect Holl and sign Dermott. Dermott at 1.5 or Ceci at 3.25. I know who I would take. More and more I am coming around to Dubas thinking. I think it's unfair to solely blame him for last year's failure.
Dubas is decent but I wish the Leafs were stuck with better players on their defense...ie got to protect a more valuable dmen from Seattle.

@@AscendedXSaiyan he didn't cave. Those deals were signed with the knowledge the cap would go UP. Then COVID happened and all the deals you see getting signed now aren't fair comparables because THOSE deals are signed with the knowledge the cap is staying flat for a couple years. You can believe a lot of those deals would be much higher if the cap has gone up as expected.
This is a shitty situation but nobody's fault.

Caught on Adam got a divorce a couple months ago and noticed there were no pictures of Patrice on his Instagram and figured that was the reason. Glad it was brought up so I know now lol
