Not only a Special Shanty of the Week with a great Shantyman and a colaboration with another Shanty singer, now everybody will go Bound away with the Dreadnought!!!
I've just recently started listening to Colm. Fella's got the chops and excellent range. Hearing his rendition of Hoist The Colors is Spine tingling. You two were a dream team and I wish for more collabs with you to...Please?
I love the collaborations with other online personalities! The Longest Johns were great, now Colm McGuinness too. I'd love to see more, they're awesome.
I'm not a fan of his videos so much, but I really enjoyed him in this video. I think it has to do with his voice sounding more naturally edited in this video? Dunno.
Colm has done a few Critical Role based shanties, one of which was a collab with another CR fan-song writer and singer, Chase Noseworthy. Of course more, especially if Sean wanted to, is always welcome.
Great work, you both And another shanty i didn't expect, but nevertheless great Greetings from Germany Keep your heart's where they are And stay healthy in those troublesome times
I've been a subscriber of both channels for a long time, but wow I can't believe I never thought about a featuring beetwin you two! That was an awesome idea!!
I love "seeing" the layering of voices/instruments. It's such a pleasure to see the absolute skill required to have a singer(s) sound like a whole ensemble. Thank you!
I was confused at first because I only knew this song from when it was done by The Dreadnoughts. I suppose that it makes sense though since they also did a rock cover of Old Maui in that same album. Thanks for the introduction of another great artist to check out!
Thank You and Colm for such a collaboration, that was a one with hard-to-find-nowadays vocal intonations, I hope a "modern listener" will enjoy as well )
Colm's gushing about you is how I was introduced to your channel, so I've been longing for this collaboration for a while! You both are fantastic. And a great "unspecified duration" to you too, Sean lol
Thanks so much for this song- at first Iwas thrown off by the intensity of this performance, but the more I listen to it I think its a great interpretation of ‘The Dreadnought’. Any chance of having it uploaded to the special guests album on bandcamp? I’d also love to learn how you found the lyrics and made your selection for verses- some of them don’t seem to be on any other recordings I can fond of this shanty.
Thanks again for having me mate! And for the fantastic history lesson, as always!
The crossover we all wanted, but never thought it would happen.
AHHHHHHH AMAAAAZZIIIIIING
@@rmorganslade Is that the critical shanty man
very nice very nice
You're both brilliant singers. I follow the both of you.
So nice to see you collaborating on a video together!
How did I miss that you are a video game composer?!? That is so cool.
Oooooh as a Colm Mcguinness fan I approve. You two sound magnificent together and the song is lovely!
Thanks Lillian!
Not only a Special Shanty of the Week with a great Shantyman and a colaboration with another Shanty singer, now everybody will go Bound away with the Dreadnought!!!
That's the idea!
Colm is superhuman.
He really is.
When I saw the title of the video, my dumb ass really thought it was about the 1906 HMS Dreadnought.
That's a perfectly reasonable assumption.
You make me yearn for the sea though I've never sailed before
I just realised you were the one who sang shanky for assassin's Creed black flag 😱😱😱😱
It was me and a bunch of other guys, yes. Fun times.
We look forward to Colm's fans discovering Seán today and writing comments about how they're now binging his entire video library.
I hope they enjoy.
you two look like you could star the film "The Lighthouse"
I'll have to look it up...
So theres hope yet for me to see david coffin here one day
Nobody can predict the future...
Every week with a shanty in it is better than a week without one!
True!
side colm looks a bit cursed
That's how side Colm rolls.
miss your weekly shanty's
Me too.
Amazing shanty.
A grand special guest, and a joy to see another shanty of the week(ish)!
ish. Love it.
This is like a crossover episode
Like Roger Rabbit.
Legendary
Epic.
I've just recently started listening to Colm. Fella's got the chops and excellent range. Hearing his rendition of Hoist The Colors is Spine tingling. You two were a dream team and I wish for more collabs with you to...Please?
Could happen...
Hey Sean, nice seeing you around once again
Nice being around!
No way! I was literally just listening to Colm!
Way.
@@SeanDagher I guess so!
Was I the only one immediately looking for Oak Island when I saw Newfoundland on the map? LOL! Love Colm's work!
I'm glad you like it. Not sure Oak Island made it onto this map.
3:19 chills. This entire song is beautiful but this is my personal favorite part.
What a nice one to finish Novermber with ;-)
Yes. A good way to cap the month.
We want more!
More to come.
A surprise video! And a collaboration one at that! A lovely song, and thanks to red text dude for the history behind the song.
Surprise!!
Amazing
Thanks!
Class goes by faster with the shanty of the week⚓️
I'mm glad to be able to help you with class.
Never thought there voices would work together, so happy I was proven wrong
I invoked my inner Colm and he invoked his inner Seán.
I love the collaborations with other online personalities! The Longest Johns were great, now Colm McGuinness too. I'd love to see more, they're awesome.
Lots more to come.
YESSSS! So it isn't over!!! Fantastic 🥳🤗
I'll be putting out things from time to time.
I'm not a fan of his videos so much, but I really enjoyed him in this video. I think it has to do with his voice sounding more naturally edited in this video? Dunno.
That was awesome! ❤️
Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.
Woooooooo more shanty!!!!
As they say, more is more.
Saen i hope you've been doing well and taking care of yourself! Thanks for another Shanty of the week! :)
I am doing very well, thank you. I hope that you are too. I'm glad you enjoyed the song.
Knowing Colm’s Critical Role music, I think it would be amazing for these two to collaborate on some Crit Role shanties
Colm has done a few Critical Role based shanties, one of which was a collab with another CR fan-song writer and singer, Chase Noseworthy. Of course more, especially if Sean wanted to, is always welcome.
That's a great idea.
That was great fun!!!!!!!!
Thanks D.
Colm did a brilliant job as always! Enjoyed learning more about the history behind the song too. Well done!🌹
Thanks!
Aaaaa, on my birthday no less!
Happy Birthday!
Can’t wait the unspecified amount of time until the next one!!
Soooooooon....
Great work, you both
And another shanty i didn't expect,

Greetings from Germany

AAAAAAAA TWO OF MY FAVORITES IN A VIDEO TOGETHER! THIS IS INSANE!
AAAAAAAA!!!!
I've been a subscriber of both channels for a long time, but wow I can't believe I never thought about a featuring beetwin you two! That was an awesome idea!!
We've been cooking this up for a while.
Two of my favourite shanty singers together! This is amazing, you've made my day!
Thanks Milla.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one! Excellent!
Thanks Rob.
Thanks for the maps. I love the lore of the dreadnought...
You're welcome. Me too.
I love "seeing" the layering of voices/instruments. It's such a pleasure to see the absolute skill required to have a singer(s) sound like a whole ensemble. Thank you!
I think I demonstrated it on Blood Red Roses as well. And maybe the Maid of Amsterdam or The Derby Ram. Can't remember which.
My two favourite shanties singers in a video. If this is heaven, i'm completely up for it
What a blast it was to collaborate with Colm.
Yo that's so cool Colm congrats mate
I first heared Colm McGuiness's music about 3 days ago what a spooky coincidence XD, Love the song btw
Spooky. And thanks!
An excellent song and two of best voices for Shanties! What more could ya want?!
Thanks Colby. Very kind.
This is amazing!
Sean i love you man you're so awesome
Thanks Paul. I love you, too.
Ah so this is different from the Dreadnought style ship in 1906?
Yes, different ship with the same name.
I was confused at first because I only knew this song from when it was done by The Dreadnoughts. I suppose that it makes sense though since they also did a rock cover of Old Maui in that same album.
Thanks for the introduction of another great artist to check out!
I'm glad you enjoyed this version.
Why can I only like this once?! An amazing feature for an amazing song. Love both of ye lads.
Thanks Lucas!
Cheers to you guys . Keen to find out what the future of this channel is made of . A la prochaine Sean .
More to come.
Colm... can we get this posted to your channel please? :-)
You'll probably have to write to him on his own channel. I'd be happy to send him the video file.
Thanks guys. This was a great collab. Really love the shanty.
I'd love to hear the two of you do Whup Jamboree.
Good suggestion.
The collab we needed ❤️
You're too kind.
Thank You and Colm for such a collaboration, that was a one with hard-to-find-nowadays vocal intonations, I hope a "modern listener" will enjoy as well )
You're welcome, John. I'm glad you like it.
Colm's gushing about you is how I was introduced to your channel, so I've been longing for this collaboration for a while! You both are fantastic. And a great "unspecified duration" to you too, Sean lol
Thanks Jack.
The collab we've all been waiting for. Well done, both!
Thanks MB.
Awesome! Ty for this video you two :) i´m waiting patiently for a cooperation between Sean, the longest Johns and Colm
Epic.
Amazing. Never thought of this happening but its fantastic.
We've been plotting this for awhile.
I was having a great day already, but you two made today amazing!
Glad to hear it Sauce.
I've been with this song in my head since it came out, it's beautiful! You guys did an amazing job
Thanks Ludmi. It's been in my head, too.
I will upload it to Bandcamp soon.
I compiled this version of the lyrics from some shanty books.

Hey Sean you forgot a shanty where am I to go me Johnie's you don't have to make it I'm just pointing it out.
It's one of my favorite shanty's I think you sung it in blackflag
It's on the "eventually" list.
!
Mcguinness's vocal range is absurd. All the way from bass to tenor.
It's true. Unbelievable.
Didnt like it
That's how it goes.
@@SeanDagher cant have them all :) respect for the rest of your work
Its kinda interesting to see how many ships were named Dreadnought throughout history
Good name, I guess.
