The sound is INCREDIBLE-WOW!!! I'm (almost) tempted to think Josh (somehow) 'sweetened' it, as it's so clear and heavy, it's hard to believe it was recorded in 1994 (recorded this well without Josh's hands on it).
The sound is taken from the swedish nationwide radio that mixed and broadcasted some weeks later, thats why you hear a strange noise right before Bloody Kisses. That noise is on every P3 live (as the show was called) concert that was broadcasted. That is also the explanation why there are one song with bad sound, because that wasn’t broadcasted on the show. As weren’t the short song at the end. Great that the video and audio was brought together! I was there that night!
love how josh silver liked to use stock presets for these songs some that i could pick out from the korg m1 include "piano 16" prog for bloody kisses (keyboard solo) and christian woman (verses), the "christmas" combi for are you afraid (intro and throughout the song) and gravity (descending keyboard part), and the "full pipe" combi for pipe organ in most of the songs most people wouldn't give a damn but as a music producer and someone who wastes his time delving into these things it's absolutely fascinating when you pick them out
We need to get Josh out of hiding and release some multitracks to the public. I would love to take apart October Rust and really hear all the layers happening
This is extremely unique material. Absolutely stunning... sound, performance, feelings, Peter´s voice and appeal... just amazing... I have another Christmas... I am very thankful to have a chance to see this... I was 7 years old at that time... but I love it, so much love it
man, there used to be a version of this live with crispy clean impecable video quality and slightly better audio, it was from a channel named "negative rust", if someone has it, they should upload it again. :(
So thankful I got to see them 4 times on the "Bloody Kisses" album, my favorite being the Danzig tour. Their sound was titanic, no other band could engulf your senses live quite like they did.
I'd LOVE to have a poster AS BIG AS MY WALL IN MY LIVING ROOM with Peter and Kenny on it, heads down, bass and guitar in hand, and I'd know EXACTLY what it sounded like at that very moment that they both hit that same chord at the same time (like @ 1:53 here)...like a 200 foot tidal wave that annihilates an entire city.
The sound is taken from the Swedish nationwide radios broadcast. That’s why it’s a strange sound before Bloody Kisses because they use that noise on all shows they broadcast.
Drugs and mental illness is a double edge sword, all of this we hear here would not be possible, without it. This is real to me. Don't forget the rest of the band, they're amazing. I have no words. Thank you for this. It made my night.
I haven't forgotten these guys. Losing their friend must be really awful. Kenny and Johnny are in another band. Josh is an EMT still living and working in Brooklyn, if you can imagine that hellscape. My heart goes out to them all.
Well.. honeymoon would just last for 10 years then you will be left with someone who has severe drug&alcohol problems, phycologically beyond broken and prone to sicknesses.. Let's not even talk about seeing someone you adore become fat and ugly every day more on top of that. But anyways, we all love Peter.. RIP

One of the most powerful and ominous bands of the 90s thank you for sharing this moment in time with us. R.I.P Peter Steele you where a marvel in time!!
His bass sound like a laser beam. The combo of the distortion and that phazer or flanger or whatever it is he uses, never learn the spelling or the difference between them 😅
Agree, it was absolutely horrifying to see what it did to him over the years. From a poster boy to a psychotic wreck. It's a crying shame, really. What a waste...
I feel kind if dumb for asking this... But since this is the only videotape that makes me feel closest to being on a concert of my favorite band, I'd like to know if there is a possibility to download this video without UA-cam downgrading it's gorgeous quality. Something like Dropbox or Weshare. I want this video to be with me everywhere I go. Fuck. It's so damn good.
I really wish i would have know what Type O would have been like if Peter never found drugs and let them consume him. Imagine if they were still carrying on today, probably not quite at this level cuz of age and such, but imagine their sound today if we never lost Peter.
Why did Peter never sing the low parts of Christian Woman and the Latin section from In Praise of Bacchus live? Saw them twice live, and he never sang REALLY low notes from his songs. No low notes from Death In the Family, I Can't Lose You, Suspended in Dusk, etc. I'm guessing because he suffered from anxiety it made it more difficult to relax his voice enough to control his low notes well? Not a putdown, I LOVE Type O! I just don't get why he randomly would sing certain phrases of other song lyrics in a really low voice, but he DIDNT sing the recorded song versions with their low notes.
because in studio he had unlimited attempts and no crowd, yes he had a really low voice but its still hard to get some notes. and also some styles of singing like subharmonics or low whispers only work in studio because you can edit them, rise the volume etc even myself alone in my own house sometimes i can hit some notes and sometimes not
this footage is priceless
Can't believe the sound clarity on this gig. Thank you for sharing this piece of rock'n'roll history with us. Peter will always be remembered.

This recording has to be / is a direct feed from the FOH board
I was thinking the same thing with it being from 1994 🤘
He could handle a bass like it was a toy.
It looked like a child's toy in the hands of a man his size.

Do you know what was Josh's preset on the M1 when playing alongside the guitar and bass? I heard it was something like a distorted organ.
@@lucaserojas I think it was an organ that was run thru an effects proccessor in his rack
When you are on tour and you need to buy a new korg because the one you were using broke down i bet its easier just to have stock sounds
@lekkyelectro3668 he had several tho, you can see some performances from them on UA-cam where he wrecks his keyboards
OMG! how he does Bloody Kisses here, amazing!!!

I saw them on the Danzig tour too - probably my favorite gig they played out of the 11 times I saw the band. I miss seeing T.O.N. so much!
I never saw them, regrettably 😢
