Dude, it really was the best. I got to see them live and I was so young. Like 17, they played as the opener for Danzig at the Fox theater in Detroit. I've never looked back. Honestly the best band I've ever seen live. The music is perfect live, I had never even heard of them before and bought the ticket for Danzig. I have no idea how he performed because of this opening band. Type o literally blew him out of the water. Best live performance I've ever seen.
I know several people who did the "I'll see them next time" only to never go and then he passed. I consider myself very fortunate to have seen them every time they played New England from 1999 until his death.
I saw them in 1997 I was sixteen man I don't even know how my parents let me travel from Texas to see them I was already in college cos i graduated early from highschool and like ten of my college buddies and I drove out to see them best.concert of my life I didn't get to meet him but John Kelly signed my shirt hehe he asked if it was past my bed time lol
Agreed. They were simply amazing. So grateful for the songs they shared with the world. Really wish Peter was still alive and well and creating beautiful gothic classics. But super grateful we have what we have. Negative For Life
They played it at one of their shows I was at. It's was probably around the same time as this show. Around 1997-99. The band at this time was a well oiled machine that hit that stage and played like a mother fucker.
In praise of Baccus is one of my favorites of all time and the boys played it to perfection here. Also, I'm glad that Josh Silver is living his life as an EMT and happy, but damn I wish he was with another band. I love what he brought to this music and miss his talent!
I’m 22. Why couldn’t I have been this age when October Rust came out. Or even when Houses of The Holy by Zeppelin. Then I could be on some young slender white guys shoulders with long black hair feeling this within the depths of my soul. Y’all lived through the last decade to have decent festivals

I mean holy shit this show man they poured the heart into amazing everything dies was just over the top powerful performance RIP green man you are missed by many
Truly Type O,in there prime and with the proper Tech support showing they were and will only be a band of this sort, there is no label for them ,Bless there existence and there loyal followers.
I’m trying so hard to transform myself into eternal light to travel to this insanely beautiful performance by all time favorite band that I have an unhealthy obsession with
Wow, I´m just speechless! This music is pure liquid and sticky honey, which spreads throughout the body and envelops each cell. Admire those guys. It so much emotions in their music and also a looot of hard work. Just imagine, how must does it cost, emotionally and physically, to play such 1 hour concert. And when it is a tour, that lasts for weeks.. Well, you´re monsters and hard workers. RIP, Pete, thanks you for being on this planet!
I adore this gig! The full set has Day Tripper and Back in the USSR. A brilliant concert, sessional 23 years later in 2021. The most perfect and sublime 'Are You Afraid?', you can tell all the guys are loving playing it. Perfect gig. Thanks for sharing.
Many thanks to the uploader for this awesome testimony of this great band! As some commenters have pointed out, it's not from 2007, but 1999 (RIP Pete Steele).
It's not as bad if you watch it with the band commentary on. That 💩 is hilarious. Spot the Rock. You'd have to watch it like I suggested to get the joke.
They created a Unique Style..Love 4Ever TypeOnegativies!!!..Thanks So Much Peter Steele and Band !!! The last time I saw them in Madrid Peter was drunk as hell and fall down in the middle of the show to continue 20 minutes later..Anyway this was my last TON concert and my last images of them playing live. Cheers and Life On !!!
Josh is so beautiful when he loses himself especially In Praise Of Bacchus. I know that trance like zone you go into while playing drums. You exert your whole energy and go somewhere else. A blissful feeling, fuck it’s an organic high
12:37 such a perfect camera pan around the green man. Really showing him off, great and massive. And his use of a sustainer is simple yet so effective.
An awesome performance, from a very once awesome band . Check em out one time on tour with pantera supporting the bloody kisses album. Peter Steale greatest vocalist of all time my opinion. Miss you man... RIP.
I will never overcome the disappointment of not being born soon enough to see them in their prime
Yes you will, drama queen!

whts EMT?
@@winetriot2734 Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic.
A position he still holds to this day. That's awesome.
Peter Steele still worked driving a garbage truck in New York City after they gained notoriety. That's pretty cool.
The crowd was losing their shit on the intro too 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I’m 22. Why couldn’t I have been this age when October Rust came out. Or even when Houses of The Holy by Zeppelin. Then I could be on some young slender white guys shoulders with long black hair feeling this within the depths of my soul. Y’all lived through the last decade to have decent festivals

Indeed, supreme badassery!
Yeah it's really good. Saw them a few times in the mid 90s when this album was new. Just awesome!
It’s very good BUT I prefer Waken outdoor performance! It’s Cleaner with better vocals & higher resolution cameras!
The breakdown in "Everything dies" gets me everytime. Such a beautiful arrangement.
The frozen part in too late, is something to behold
I was so lucky to have seen them in 1996 in donnington england ... 45 minute set ..
friggin excellent ... damn miss them
The switch between Are You Afraid and Gravity gives me goosebumps. Unrivaled/Incredible performance
man I wish I could have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to see these guys live in their prime
Just thinking that
12:23 interesting technique
Yeah the ol' manual vibrato trick lol!
Truly Type O,in there prime and with the proper Tech support showing they were and will only be a band of this sort, there is no label for them ,Bless there existence and there loyal followers.
1:00:16 "I left the stage cause I thought I had to shit but I lost the feeling"
Johnny Kelly has supported my band Den Haag (bleak unknown and trials and tributes) and that's such a trip man....I adore Type O RIP Pete Steele
Now this is one concert I’d like to have been at.

I wish it was 2017 and Peter was resurrected like the Lord Jesus Christ.
Stinky Puppie I agree with you Stinky!!!! Wish he was here now. .Love and miss him so much. ..♥♥♥
You can actually date lives from Pete's look. In 2007, he was already in pretty bad shape.
@@BrutafulStudios01 jesus Christ looks like him

i liked purely because this uploader uploaded something legendary
RARELY hear guitar sound that huge. Reminds me a little of Dime's live sound. Not in the same league as his playing, but tone is very important.
Wow what a crowd! I so wish I could go back in time and see them live
Thank you for this. All that "behind the scenes" crap was just getting on my nerves. The show is awesome.
It's not as bad if you watch it with the band commentary on. That 💩 is hilarious. Spot the Rock. You'd have to watch it like I suggested to get the joke.
I first heard Type O Negative in 1997 and they have been one of my favourite bands ever since.

Rest in peace Peter Steel.
What an epic ending 🤯🤯
Really wish they played some stuff off Slow Deep and Hard here, still my favorite live show
He was definitely good enough for me, way too good .if I could have gotten my hands on him, I would never let go.
I was lucky enough to see them with Sal... A double bill with Life Of Agony back in like 1992 or something 😉
