Spidey and Goblin being friends and heroes working together is awesome and a great twist. I loved when Harry and Pete teamed up in Spider-Man 3 as a kid so this is dope

I have a feeling they will eventually fall out, but unti then it's awesome.
@@AngelusNielsonDunno I wouldn't want that at least not soon or like a big one that makes Harry turn to be a complete bad guy..... so far this unniverse seems like something fresh, letting ideas that editors downright seem to refuse in the main continuity to exist do in this one. I'd like if they keep that identity.
Tho I can see Harry perhaps being too extremist for Peter, something about him taking Bullseye just seemed fishy to me.
Isn't Spidey and goblin working together in the main universe too

I LOVE that his daughter is basically the reason he gets the suit and that they work in how Spider-Man can't look intimidating to the public as he does to criminals. This series is so smart with how it reinterprets even the smallest details of his mythos

The modified blue venom suit is a reference to spiderman's daughter, April Parker, wearing the Mayhem symbiote.

When you spell it out like that...I can't help but think something catastrophic is going to happen to Peter where he loses all his family and it will fall back on it being the fault of Green Goblin.

Peter’s daughter needs to come off that sugar high. The “Black Benjamin” suit was instantly iconic and she called it old
This run has been a real breath of fresh air from whatever the hell Wells is doing right now on the main comic line
I will say that regardless of the rest I do like that he has left it slightly open to allow another writer come in and fix it for us
I think it’s the best think marvel has going right now can’t wait for doom to come out Hickman is killing it

Each time I load up Spider-Man on my PC this is the first suit I put on and leave on.
i’m sure this will lead Peter to eventually get some actual tights instead of relying on nanotech/picotech which can be accessed not only by people who work for Stark/Oscorp but also anyone with a high enough iq that could hack into it, just to prevent his identity being exposed this easily ever again
and based off the issue 4 previews, we’re getting a double date with MJ and Peter to Gwen and Harry, this’ll be interesting
but i’m not surprised peter’s identity has been exposed to two people so far, it must be an Ultimate Spider-Man curse to suck at keeping a secret identity 😂
Knowing Spiderman wrighter luck, he'll keep up the rate of bein unmasked till he does the pact with mefisto again and he loses the marriage in exchange for anonymity.
You can also probably add half of The Ultimates who know who he is, as they give back the spider to him.

The expressions of Ben and Jonah while Peter waxes poetic about Spiderman, classic.
I love the four suit designs that Peter going through for his suit. The modified scarlet spider design is my favorite.
Plus, I love the fight between Green Goblin and Ultimate Bullseye before Spidey came and knocks Bullseye out.
TBH, I prefer the Original Monstrous Ultimate Green Goblin because he was a beast.
New Green Goblin looks more like Iron Goblin.

It's crazy those throwaway suits are better than any of the original suits made for the Spiderman 2 suits.

I honestly love this more than the og ultimate universe it feels so interesting with the ideas Hickman and his writing team is coming up with for the ultimate universe this is honestly one of the coolest versions of Peter and Harry ever I feel like they are gonna have a sort of ghost maker to Batman role I just hope they are still friends even if they come to disagree because I love the chemistry of these two in this universe

May anna parker is definitely taking the fashion sense after her mother. By the way Rob that all blue suit version of Spider-Man's is from the MC2 Universe, home to Spider-girl, and was when Venom rebonded with Peter and he called himself Spider-Venom.
The great things about this comic are May helping Peter with his costume before they have a wholesome father-daughter time moment by swinging around New York, Peter helping Uncle Ben J. Jonah Jameson with their office, and Peter and Harry defeating Bullseye before revealing their identities to each other. Hope the next issue includes them and their wives knowing their husbands’ identities and having a nice time because this comic is great. Also, bold for Marvel lot release ASM and USM on the same day so that is Spider-Man fans can compare the two comics.
I have and will always love Ben Riley's "Crimson Spider" hoodie suit. Simply class that.

They're doing a great job with this story honestly, its incredible. The idea of Ben and JJJ not knowing Peter is spider-man, but using those powers to fight crime AND have an inside on NY's newest hero seems like a cool direction to lean toward. Creates a lot of drama in balancing those lives, using his powers for good, and also to help himself and his family. Harry and Peter teaming up as heroes is incredibly cool. Really should have gone in this direction with 616 pete a looong time ago.
I wonder if they made a reference to the variant colors of the suits from the Spider-Man 2? They look amazing, my favorite of all was the black suit variant. the orange was suppose to be an alusion to 2099, but it didnt have blue on it.
My favorite suit is the webbed black I also love the blue suit and don’t worry rob i love the modified ben Riley suit too

I saw the 4 suits as: Black costume, Scarlet Spider, 2099 and Superior Spider-Man
Same. I sort of went “meh”. I like the normal suit better anyway.
I NEED MORE. harry and peter as actual friends is something they both deserve and I cant wait to see how this pans out!
i absolutely love the idea of them genuinely working together forging an unbreakable bond if that's something this story decides to do i think it would be an amazing read.

This issue was great. Spider-Man‘s test suits were an interpretation of the popular Spider-Man suits with a twist, the symbiote suit, the Ben Riley suit, the 2099 suit, the sensational suit. All made you go “IT LOOKS LIKE THAT THING I LIKE” before finally settling on the classic design and it’s fantastic. Such a fun issue but I’m still waiting on seeing more of MJ. All we’ve got is “I’m going out so I don’t have to be in this issue” and that’s it, I want more from MJ and I think we will, I’m confident in that. Her relationship with Peter should be the heart of this story and in a way I think it is but it’s hard to see at points

To be fair, there have been explicitly heroic versions of the green goblin before. Including ironically enough, both Harry Osborne Jr, and Ben Ulrich. Both people who were prominently friends in main universe peter's life at one point.
Ngl I clicked bc of the variation of the classic scarlet spider costume...
I heard people saying that this issue was slow, but that banter and intro of the goblin and family dynamic was so worth it, this is how I wish alot of comics were, not all, but more.
