I’ve only been able to go mono TS cable so far. I think I’ll request stereo XLRs asap and use channel 2 for in ears! Anyone have problems going that route?
For now I am only using my FM3 the way most guitarists use a pedal board. I connect it to my tube amp using the four cord method, so I can put the drive and wah before my amp, and the delay and modulation in the effects loop. I use the “per preset” switch setting, and have the tap and hold function set to turn on or off a different effect. Tap 1 - Overdrive Hold 1 - Wah Tap 2 - Simple Delay Hold 2 - MultiDelay Tap 3 - UniVibe Hold 3 - Tremolo This is all on one preset
First, thanks for highlighting the FM3. Second, this is a perfect video. I have been deep diving into my FM3 lately and trying to get very specific with tones. I never been afraid to mess with all the parameters of gear and I blow off the criticisms that the Fractal UI is too complicated. However sometimes I’m like “man this is a lot of stuff”! Also, not always sure if I’m making something sound better or not. I find the best way is to see how others (especially more experienced) users tweak things. Thanks so much for all you share.😃 ….Bring on the grease!
I found your channel 2 years ago, and it's been a pure joy watching your fractal demo's...not only informative about the programming but just in tone in general. All shinny gold in my opinion.
Man I was frustrated with the FM3 until I started watching your videos. You made it all come together so easily for me, and I know I have only scratched the surface of it, but you helped so much with your knowledge of the fractal FM3. I watch them all now lol...
4:25 the spacious wide is brilliant! You know you've got me thinking....my rack is full to the goog with stuff I love creating with. But, I know I'm headed for an axe fx3 eventually. Between yourself and Brett there's much evidence in justifying the cost. Nice work dude.
Cheers from Texas! 🤘😺🤘 Thanks for doing these FM3 videos! Such a great short cut, against the learning curve, for those of us just now getting our own. Much appreciated Michael Francis
Just ordered the FM3 a couple of days ago and it's on it's way. I had the AxeFxIII back about 3 years ago and sold it once I started having issues with a herniated disc in my neck causing pain in my left shoulder and muscle loss. That led me to quit playing all together, upcoming surgery next month and hopefully that will fix my issue and I can get back to playing. I currently have a Helix but I've always liked Fractal's gear better. After not playing for 2 years, I'm gonna be a whole lot of rusty...LOL I think I will pickup something to use for stand in switches, watched your video on setting that up.
Hi Leon, a great video and great guitar playing. You really are a likeable guitarist who enjoys playing the guitar. It shows! You can also see that you have a lot of experience with Fractal Audio Systems hardware. I'm almost retired now ;-), and have been playing various tube amps (Fender, Marshall, Boogie, Dr. Z) for more than 40 years. So I'm a tube purist by definition ;-). I tried out a Line6 amp several years ago, but immediately returned it because of the high latency. I had a Kemper 2 years ago. I tried everything for at least half a year, using different power amplifiers, FRFR speakers and the Kemper Kone, but I didn't like anything. My little Fender Blues Jr. blew the Kemper away! It didn't stand a chance against the band's ability to cut through. And the sounds somehow didn't sound real. There was always something missing. In the music store I tried the Fender Tonemaster Pro. I didn't like it. Now I've seen a lot of your videos and those of other Axe-FX FM 3 users and I'm really impressed with the sounds. At my age (around 60 years old, but still in good shape), lugging around a Boogie amp and a big pedal board isn't really much fun. As an old tube Amp freak, can you recommend the FM3 to me? How do you play the FM3 live? Via FOH and monitoring? Do you use your own FRFR box, or do you play through a guitar box? Are you still happy with your sound? I would be very happy to hear back. Best wishes, Pete! Rock On!
Sold my Mesa Mark V 25 and Mesa 2x12 rig and I've been exclusively playing my FM3 with a pair of KRK Rokit 6 studio monitors for the past couple of years. It just works better in the apartment. The KRK monitors aren't the flattest response and defnitely arent the greatest sound-wise. They have a lot of unnecessary low end, but I can always dial some of that out. I haven't played in a live setting with my FM3 so I can't speak to live tones or ease of use in such a setting, but I imagine it would get the job done with satisfaction. I've been wanting to run my FM3 as an interface through Reaper so I can start recording music with it, but I haven't been able to figure out how to link them up. Overall it's been a really solid piece of gear. I've managed to dial in the best tones I've ever had all thanks to your videos.
I've been using FM3 with reaper and it works like a charm. As Leon said, just use it as USB interface. Cooper Carter has a great video on re-amping as well which you should check out.
Hey Leon! Great vid! I have used mine mostly in the studio (where it sounds ace!) but have been thinking of using it live so this is very helpful. Cheers!
Unfortunately I had to sell my FM3 just last week and the sounds you've come out with for the past three years or so and that you've shared with the community were in my humble opinion the best compared with those of others or at least those I preferred, including today's one. I will miss the opportunity to try them myself again in future. Who knows ? Perhaps one day ....
Hi Leon. I really enjoyed this video covering your use of the FM3 over the last several years as I still own an FM3. Do you use the FM9 only for gigs close to home? Thanks and best to you.
Thanks mate! Think of each preset as it's own rig - within each rig you have 8 scenes, which are like having a custom switching system for that particular rig. Scenes can be set up to be seamless :)
Cool tips as always Leon! Built a live preset for the HX Stomp yesterday following your steps and, man, it never sounded so RIGHT, I’ve put your eq on the global out instead of using a block and a 3 band compressor instead a multiband (cause the stomp simply don’t have one full features MB COMP) The stomp lost all those digital artifacts and sounds more realistic. Lead sound is glorious! Question for Leon, how are the clean tones on the Fractal? I do a lot of cleanish to jazz type stuff and wondered how the Fractal would handle that? I know it's always being demo'd for high gain, but can you say whether it could do a Pat Metheny warm jazz tone with very high quality Lexicon type reverb? Appreciate the feedback. Thx

I don't have a fractal and can't justify one, but I love watching these because you're like a chemist with these things. 🤣 I love how you don't have to do a dance to play .. I used to play and would on purpose play songs that DIDN'T have too many effects because back in the day we only had pedals basically and I only wanted a boost or distortion. I used to use an SD1 and or a rat. The rat was great.. I wish I still had that thing. It sounded so good. I hear the new one's are just as good.. You're tone live is awesome.. 💯❤🤘🤘 The pitch shifting you use is exactly like the Eventide to me. I'm listening with some nice headphones that are flat and don't really mess up the sound. Great pitch bending at micro level. The delays are great for lead. I also love how you name them. I used to have CTJ on the rat. Which meant come to jesus.. 🤣Later I added a delay but never had time to hit it as I was always on the other side of the state looking at some babe and forgot about it when it was time to play a lead part.. 🤣 Do you use the FM9 live ever and does it have the same power as the FM3 or more powerful being that it's bigger ? It may just have more button's.. I loved the axe8 and I think when they get to the price I like I may buy one used.. I could get all the sounds I ever need out of one.. Oh.. How do you go to the FOH is a question I have.. No hurry.. I mean does it have an xlr out or do you just take a line to the mixing desk ? Sorry for the stupid questions.. Thanks brother, and have a great day.. I'm off to get another strong strong coffee. Just had my first and not awake enough.. Coffee is the drink of gods as you know! Be well and peace to you and yours sir!
Great vid, great tones! Why do you use 2 delay blocks? Seems like you could combine the different delays in a single block? I have set up switches to toggle between 2 scenes and use long press for alternative functions (tuner and next / prev preset). I bring an FC6 if I need control over individual effects.
Thanks for all of your amazing advice and brilliant sounds! I'm selling my QuadCortex to get back into the Fractal world... Two questions: Do you have a vid explaining how you set up that gate between the amp and cab? Do you have a vid for setting up the multi-band compression?
Much appreciated. here's a vid on the MBC - ua-cam.com/video/rHr7Nc_meM4/v-deo.html For the gate all you need to do is set the sidechain source to input 1 and then place it between amp and cab. General rule of thumb is make the release 10x the attack and go!
Hey Leon! I have always enjoyed your videos thank you so much for creating always great content 🔥 Can I ask you a question? How are you doing your recordings while using the FM3? Are you using a cable with SPDIF or an XLR? I just got an FM3 and I have been struggling with the latency and sometimes the sound doesn't even come off and hear a strange beep 😱 So l'm trying to understand if it's better to use a different interface rather than the one included with the FM3. Do you have any suggestions? I swear I have been losing my mind over this 😂
The Fm3 mostly lives in a roadcase for gigs but I use SPDIF to my UA interface when I record the Axe-Fx. Vids like this I just take the XLR outs from the FM3
@@LeonTodd After getting an FM3 it’s been kinda difficult to understand what to choose as my next interface😱 Thank you so much for you advice and quick reply omg!
love these rundowns , i've owned an FM3 since September last year, made the complete jump since with the band, fantastic unit had some small questions -Cab Block IR : how long have you stuck to the same IR? do you ever try others to see? -second Delay block in parallel : is this with more seamless switching in mind instead of using 1 delay block with different channels? thanks!
Probably close to 3 years with this IR. I shot the same cab with multiple mics and used a different blend for a while. I do enjoy trying different IR's but I know how this one works live so i tend to stick to it. The two delay blocks are as you described! Seemless switching with tails if needed.
@@LeonTodd awesome, thanks for the reply , i know what you mean on the IR rabbit hole, i've got one go to that i always use (based on a Fryette FB412), but i've started blending in others for a different character while keeping the bite of what i know, aligned and panned hard L + R going out stereo
I have to admit, as much as I like basic amp-guitar with a minimum of effects (my pedal collection notwithstanding), between you and Mark Day, I'll probably end up with a Fractal unit at some point.
You won’t regret it man. I reluctantly took my Fm9 Turbo out of the box when a pedal failed me the night before an important gig. Long story short I wish I would’ve made the switch sooner, and I’ve never gotten so many compliments before till Fractal.
Leon, I was thinking about getting an FM3 but I hear it won't do a dual amp? Such as the one you did recently with the Mesa/Marshall left/right. Is that right? I realllly want one but I wish it came with an expression pedal as well and I wish it was cheaper.
Cool L eon , thanks for the preset info. Quick Q... Do you have seperate FM3 mono/stereo presets depending on the venue your playing at? And in your cab block your input is "left" not stereo?
I think it is easier to launch real rockets than learn how to use a Fractal Audio unit. So many settings I feel I would forget how to play guitar if I had to learn the tweaking on this. I'll bite the bullet soon though...
Even cool!!!! Just a question: live, do you use the service monitors or do you have a personal monitor, frfr cabinet or in era monitors (and which model)? Thanks a lot Leon!
I should have mentioned that. Usually IEM's, but if the in house monitors are good and I don't feel like setting up IEM I'll usually roll with those those. I have some Redsound MF10's for gigs where IEM and house monitors are a no go.
How do you hear it on stage? Are you going into an amp or are you sending your signal directly to the PA and just listening to the monitors or something else?
@9:09 The rythm tone, feeeeels a bit like you've rolled the volume back on the guitar to 4-5... it seems to lack real bottomed, but that's just how it comes accross on UA-cam, I'm sure in person it's different.
Yo do us a favor bro , when talking delay , how about hit a QUICK NOTE and stop so we can hear what the delay is doing (time), and how many repeats until it fades out .Thanks for the tips , new to this unit
It’s interesting you have reverb on all the time. I always thought it’s better to keep guitar sound a bit drier on live venues because there’s a lot of reverb in the room already.
Very good explanation! But I have a question for you, how can I restore the factory settings of FM3? thank you! My English is not good. This paragraph was copied from Baidu Translator. If there is any offense, please forgive me.
Try this wiki.fractalaudio.com/wiki/index.php?title=Reset_system_parameters#:~:text=If%20a%20problematic%20system%20parameter,AND%20load%20a%20clean%20preset.
Maybe slightly off topic but… using this preset (or any other) for tracking, did you completely bypass the Hi/Low cuts? Maybe cutting those frequency in a lighter way to give some room for post production?
is it possible to adjust the reverb level without using the fm3-edit software? I just want to turn a knob on the thing and have it adjust the reverb level, just like a knob on a normal amp would do. seems like a severe oversight if this cannot be done without software for live players.
@@LeonTodd thank you sir for the reply. i watched another video and found i just needed to press home, then page right to get to the performance tabs to then adjust stuff with a twist of a knob. easy as a hooker on figueroa st.
How do you activate/deactivate the Wah? And what expression pedal do you use? I know there is a particular function in the fm3 that basically says "activate when move and deactivate when don't move", but I'm curious what you do exactly. Apart from that, highly informative and awesome as always ;)
Hey Leon, question for ya. Was thinking about getting the FM3. I don't have much space on my computer's C: drive. Am I able to set this up on my D: drive where I have a 1 terabyte of space? If so, great...but, will the CPU usage still affect my C: Drive? Thanks man!
@@LeonTodd Is the FM3 its own audio interface so you don't have to connect it to a separate audio interface? If that's true, just setup the audio settings in Reaper for the FM3 to be the audio interface and use the FX button on the track to open the FM3 Edit?
yes it's a USB audio interface. The only thing that will take up space on your hard drive are the actual audio files you record through it. @@RayBachGuitar
@@LeonTodd Last question - Once connected, installed the drivers, the Reaper audio settings and the FM3 settings are correct, do you click on the track FX button to be able to open up a VST plugin to get to the FM3 Edit to establish tones? I just need to understand first before purchasing.
Great video Leon, love my FM3 too! Sounds amazing and super compact when gigging. I go with 1 Preset and 4 scenes: 1. Filth Delay, 2. Filth Standard, 3. Clean Delay, 4. Clean Standard. The Filth and Clean scenes have different amps and when I switch between them, there's a lag. Is there any way I can improve on that one? Would be really grateful if there were a solution to that. Cheers
Changing channels has an inevitable gap. How can use scene controllers to change the amount of gain per scene on one amp or you can try my "Rockman" style clean trick that i posted a video of not too long ago
what under saddle pickup are you using and with which guitar for your acoustic sounds? also when playing at high volume where do you tame the extreme highs? ps. i sometimes use the expression pedal as another control "switch" for scenes that dont have wah/volume control
Hey Leon is there a chorus plugin that can emulate intelliverb/intellifex 8 voice chorus? I know you did a preset a while ago on your fractal, but I was wondering if there is anything similar sounding in plugin world?
Nothing explicitly emulating it but anything that can do 8 delay taps with modulation should get close. Fabfilter timeless is an incredible delay plugin and Valhalla spacemodulator is awesome (and free)
FM3 lives in a flight case so it's currently the "grab and go" rig for me, whereas the FM9 makes it out for shows where I know the room/PA is going to be real good.
Not much of a fan of those bathed in echo and reverb sounds, too hard to hear whats going on. Heh first time I heard that sound I thought a pedal had malfunctioned. I like the other sounds you made a lot. Great video! James
Sooooooo... Um? Apparently my uncle is about to gift/long term loan me his freakin' FM3?!! 😵😵💫 ☠ I know right?! How freakin' cool it that?!!! He basically told me that he got it mainly right after his pro studio gear & main AxeFx III rig had got put away in storage during a move, and that he really doesn't use it anymore now that his studio has been rebuilt and that... Uuuuh?! Now I can have it?!!! 😳💩🤪💀‼ To say that my mind has been completely blown since would be an understatement! Ha! It ships out in a few days! Squee! Although, given my ongoing ASPD & ADD clinical diagnosis? Being immediately overwhelmed by "optional paralysis" is undoubtedly an initial concern once it arrives. So I was wondering Leon? Do you perhaps have any advice for a newbie Fractal user within those regards? Thanks in advance doggins! Also, I freakin' love the channel my dude! Cheers! 🔥🔥🔥
Congrats mate! If option paralysis is an issue I'd suggest building presets as simply as possible (amp/cab/delay/verb), disconnecting from the computer, rolling your chair back and just having a blast!
How do YOU setup your Fractal live?
FM3 - stereo out, 5 main scenes (base, +octaver down, +octaver down w/delay, +dly ,+dotted8 dly) ,
two IRs in Cab block hard panned L + R ,
Filter block in front of the amp block (Fryette more) as a boost
Delay + MB Comp block after the amp block
Verb block with very short decay for some width
Enhancer block on modern to finish things off
PEQ at the end for filtering
FM3 + Morningstar MC6 + Dunlop DVPmini + Shure GLXD16 wiriless (All in a Rockboard TRES pedalboard)

Tap 1 - Overdrive
Hold 1 - Wah
Tap 2 - Simple Delay
Hold 2 - MultiDelay

Hold 3 - Tremolo
This is all on one preset

Do you use the FM9 live ever and does it have the same power as the FM3 or more powerful being that it's bigger ? It may just have more button's.. I loved the axe8 and I think when they get to the price I like I may buy one used.. I could get all the sounds I ever need out of one..
Oh.. How do you go to the FOH is a question I have.. No hurry.. I mean does it have an xlr out or do you just take a line to the mixing desk ?
Sorry for the stupid questions..
Thanks brother, and have a great day.. I'm off to get another strong strong coffee. Just had my first and not awake enough.. Coffee is the drink of gods as you know!
Be well and peace to you and yours sir!
HAHAHAHA CTJ is great
I love so much this part @8:33 what song is that?
Ragdoll "Heaven Above"
Thanks mate
Great vid, great tones! Why do you use 2 delay blocks? Seems like you could combine the different delays in a single block?
I have set up switches to toggle between 2 scenes and use long press for alternative functions (tuner and next / prev preset). I bring an FC6 if I need control over individual effects.
Seamless switching and trails on the delays if needed.
EXCELLENT.
Leon, great as always! Any tutorial or tabs for what you play 08:36? What song is it?
Yep - ua-cam.com/video/KZkX1vyyJpY/v-deo.html
Thanks for all of your amazing advice and brilliant sounds! I'm selling my QuadCortex to get back into the Fractal world... Two questions: Do you have a vid explaining how you set up that gate between the amp and cab? Do you have a vid for setting up the multi-band compression?
Much appreciated. here's a vid on the MBC - ua-cam.com/video/rHr7Nc_meM4/v-deo.html
For the gate all you need to do is set the sidechain source to input 1 and then place it between amp and cab. General rule of thumb is make the release 10x the attack and go!
Where do you get the clear rubber foot switch covers? Thanks!
What do you think about the tone x pedal compared to axe fx?
Hey Leon! I have always enjoyed your videos thank you so much for creating always great content 🔥
Can I ask you a question?
How are you doing your recordings while using the FM3? Are you using a cable with SPDIF or an XLR?
I just got an FM3 and I have been struggling with the latency and sometimes the sound doesn't even come off and hear a strange beep 😱
So l'm trying to understand if it's better to use a different interface rather than the one included with the FM3. Do you have any suggestions? I swear I have been losing my mind over this 😂
The Fm3 mostly lives in a roadcase for gigs but I use SPDIF to my UA interface when I record the Axe-Fx. Vids like this I just take the XLR outs from the FM3
@@LeonTodd Thank you so much for your advice! I was wondering what is the UA interface you are using?
@@Hydramint_x3 my pleasure mate. I was using an original Apollo Twin for years and have just got an Apollo x8.
@@LeonTodd After getting an FM3 it’s been kinda difficult to understand what to choose as my next interface😱 Thank you so much for you advice and quick reply omg!
❤ thx kindly brilliant // u R. Has playroom teacher , Going to purchase one tomorrow
love these rundowns , i've owned an FM3 since September last year, made the complete jump since with the band, fantastic unit
had some small questions
-Cab Block IR : how long have you stuck to the same IR? do you ever try others to see?
@@paulbradshawguitar yeah it's always nice to have a familiar starting point!
Reminded me draconian times guitar sound
Horns up for having hall of the mountain king chilling there in the background 🤘
Madness reigns!
How is the SLO model? Never had a modeller get the SLO thing right yet
The grease Brothers 😂
Hi Leon, I'm interesting by the FM3, do you know if Fractal plan to add more power in it? Many thank for all your videos.
FM3 Turbo! More DSP powerrrrrrrrr!! Out now.
Leon, I was thinking about getting an FM3 but I hear it won't do a dual amp? Such as the one you did recently with the Mesa/Marshall left/right. Is that right? I realllly want one but I wish it came with an expression pedal as well and I wish it was cheaper.
Yeah the FM9 does that but not the FM3
I'd be interested in a solo Leon Todd project tour👍🇺🇸
But what about the Layout of the footswitches? I don't beleave that you do Sceneswitching via PC during a show.
Cool L
eon , thanks for the preset info. Quick Q... Do you have seperate FM3 mono/stereo presets depending on the venue your playing at? And in your cab block your input is "left" not stereo?
Yeah I have a version for mono use. Everything up to the cab block is mono so the input selection isn't too important
@@LeonTodd thanks mate cheers
Are you running this into an amp or straight through the line and into your monitors? Thanks!
Straight into the PA
Not tempted to take the FM9 out live? Hopefully mine will turn up in June, give or take! FM3 does sound excellent tho...
I've done a few shows with it but for fly dates the FM3 is perfect
@@LeonTodd Thanks a lot Leon!!!!
Leon do you prefer to use the airstep or the quad button pedal? Rather, which are you using live? I know they are different beasts
Using the FM3 on it's own live. Airstep is a bit more versatile but the OCD 4 button sits nicely next to the FM
How do you hear it on stage? Are you going into an amp or are you sending your signal directly to the PA and just listening to the monitors or something else?
Straight to PA and monitors/in ears
What type of amp are you using for power?
@9:09 The rythm tone, feeeeels a bit like you've rolled the volume back on the guitar to 4-5... it seems to lack real bottomed, but that's just how it comes accross on UA-cam, I'm sure in person it's different.
yeah it's a weird one in a studio setting but the extra clarity is nice when it's loud live
Yo do us a favor bro , when talking delay , how about hit a QUICK NOTE and stop so we can hear what the delay is doing (time), and how many repeats until it fades out .Thanks for the tips , new to this unit
Excellent suggestion.
It’s interesting you have reverb on all the time. I always thought it’s better to keep guitar sound a bit drier on live venues because there’s a lot of reverb in the room already.
Very good explanation! But I have a question for you, how can I restore the factory settings of FM3? thank you! My English is not good. This paragraph was copied from Baidu Translator. If there is any offense, please forgive me.
Try this wiki.fractalaudio.com/wiki/index.php?title=Reset_system_parameters#:~:text=If%20a%20problematic%20system%20parameter,AND%20load%20a%20clean%20preset.
@@LeonTodd Wow! Thank you very much! Thank you!
DO YOU HAVE A KEMPER AND DO YOU LIKE IT BETTER?i LIKE YOUR TONES ALOT. i AM THINKING ABOUT SWITCHING
I've tried the Kemper and enjoyed it. Much prefer the Fractal stuff which is why I use it.
Maybe slightly off topic but… using this preset (or any other) for tracking, did you completely bypass the Hi/Low cuts?
Maybe cutting those frequency in a lighter way to give some room for post production?
Yeah in that case I'd ditch the PEQ and probably the MBC as well. that way the recording engineer has as much or as little as they need :)
@@LeonTodd thanks a lot man!
Is this preset on axechange? Great job my guy! 🤘🎶🤘
Yeah, linked in the description
@@LeonTodd ok thanks I guess I need to look closer haha 🤘🎶🤘
is it possible to adjust the reverb level without using the fm3-edit software? I just want to turn a knob on the thing and have it adjust the reverb level, just like a knob on a normal amp would do. seems like a severe oversight if this cannot be done without software for live players.
Yes of course. I use the Editor for these videos since it saves me seeing up an extra camera
@@LeonTodd thank you sir for the reply. i watched another video and found i just needed to press home, then page right to get to the performance tabs to then adjust stuff with a twist of a knob. easy as a hooker on figueroa st.
@@MusicStillRules :p
How do you activate/deactivate the Wah? And what expression pedal do you use? I know there is a particular function in the fm3 that basically says "activate when move and deactivate when don't move", but I'm curious what you do exactly.
Apart from that, highly informative and awesome as always ;)
"Auto engage" is the function. I'm using a Fractal EV2.
Hey Leon, question for ya. Was thinking about getting the FM3. I don't have much space on my computer's C: drive. Am I able to set this up on my D: drive where I have a 1 terabyte of space? If so, great...but, will the CPU usage still affect my C: Drive? Thanks man!
It's a standalone unit so won't have any bearing on your computer's storage.
Never mind, grease is good Sol.
@@LeonTodd many thanks, will check it out
what under saddle pickup are you using and with which guitar for your acoustic sounds?
also when playing at high volume where do you tame the extreme highs?
ps. i sometimes use the expression pedal as another control "switch" for scenes that dont have wah/volume control
EBMM JP7
So you just gig with that fm3 alone? Volume pedal? Tuner?
Fractal ev2 to control the FM3 wah. Otherwise all in the box
@@LeonTodd Thanks man. Cheers.
Is this setup can be use in any gig scene?
This preset is optimized for playing direct into the PA
Do you still use in ears live?
Most of the time yeah. Every now and then I'll just use monitors.
@@LeonTodd it's the same rig it used to be?
Hi Leon. Are you going to NAMM 23?
No plans this year. On the bucket list though
Whoa whoa whoa I'm pretty sure those guns are illegal in Australia
🤣
LT, are you also using an FM9 or is the 3 your joy atm?
FM3 lives in a flight case so it's currently the "grab and go" rig for me, whereas the FM9 makes it out for shows where I know the room/PA is going to be real good.
Not much of a fan of those bathed in echo and reverb sounds, too hard to hear whats going on. Heh first time I heard that sound I thought a pedal had malfunctioned. I like the other sounds you made a lot.
Great video!
James
Sooooooo...
Um?
Apparently my uncle is about to gift/long term loan me his freakin' FM3?!! 😵😵💫 ☠
I know right?! How freakin' cool it that?!!!
He basically told me that he got it mainly right after his pro studio gear & main AxeFx III rig had got put away in storage during a move,
and that he really doesn't use it anymore now that his studio has been rebuilt and that...
Uuuuh?!
Now I can have it?!!!
😳💩🤪💀‼
To say that my mind has been completely blown since would be an understatement!
It was the government, not Covid
