Thanks Scott this is just the video I’ve been looking for. Great to understand the numbers and more to the point what do you do to obtain the optimal number? Looking forward to more. Also I wonder, with all this information you can get with the mevo + why would pros spend more on the other more expensive models x1 for instance?
There is definitely a stigma against smaller launch monitors, just the look and all. So I think that is part of it, but also pros don't always buy their launch monitors, especially quads, they are readily available for them to use at tour events, plus they are easier to just set up and get carry numbers without needing to align it or have a separate device.
Great video 👍 do you have anything on full club gapping. I know the SkyTrak has club mapping but is there anything on Mevo plus. Thanks great context on all your vids. Keep up the good work. Stay safe
Hi just to confirm if I have an AOA -3 and a spin loft of 27, my dynamic loft is 30 and if AOA is 4 and spin loft is 9 my dynamic loft is 13. Thanks in advance, great video, very informative.
Agreed that is negative. Here’s where I am struggling to understand this: 24-(-3)=27. That’s straight up math. Is there something different about calculating DL that isn’t mentioned?
Hi Scott, Thanks for creating the video. Due to my eyesight I am unable to see the ball in flight so numbers like lateral distance between the landing spot of the ball and the target line is the only way I know where I hit the ball. Thanks for confirming that. My question is about shot shape which you did not cover. Can you explain how that is calculated?
Thx! Really helpful video. Even though I knew most tiles, your explanation how to interpret them was very useful! One other question. I saw your video on why you chose Mevo+ as a launch monitor. I am narrowing down my choices for an indoor simulator and was finally down to Mevo+ and GCQuad but then came across the GSA simulators. They seem to be priced in between the two and give accurate club face data. Did you consider them?
Great stuff Scott! Wondering, how accurate are the club numbers on the Mevo+? (AoA, club path, face, etc…)? I’ve ordered a Garmin R10 and know that the R10 calculates those numbers from the ball’s flight and doesn’t actually measure those…haven’t really found how Mevo+ calculates those numbers and how accurate it is…thanks!
Mevo+ doesn't measure path or face, it measures AoA. It does a pretty good job of it I think. The path and face you can figure from the measured start direction and spin axis that you are given.
Hi. Does the ball quality impact the reading? I.e. if you take this out to a range and use range balls, do you get different readings than when you go indoor and use better balls?
Are you sure 2.8R for Spin Axis is a fade? I was under impression that's a inside out swing path that would encourage a draw assuming clubface is neutral.
You're correct on swing path....spin axis is the direction the ball is spinning, it's not an actual measurement of club path, but you can infer it from that.
Thanks Scott . I have another issue when setting up E6 connect I get to screen to enter code I scan and it enters it in text area then stops there and nothing else happens
Thanks Scott;always interesting to hear you explain the Mivo Plus. Best wishes Lee.
I appreciate at! Anything I can do to help let me know!
Thanks Scott! really helpful
You're welcome! Glad you found it helpful!
Excellent explanation of the data!

Nice intro and thanks so much Scott! Really appreciate you following through with this!
Thank you for the idea, and glad I could help you out!
great video. I still don't quite understand Spin Loft. Or at least what it should be for each club.
Thanks Scott... much appreciated.💪🏻
Thanks Rich! Apprecitate It!
Great explanations. Thanks.

Incredible job, just got my mevo plus, need this in quick reference chart to hang on my wall! Working on it.

That is correct
So, spin loft will always be in between dynamic loft and AoA?
If DL-AoA=Spin Loft, wouldn’t DL in this example be 24?
@@johnbrennan4461 don't think so as the 3 is a negative number.

@@johnbrennan4461 nope 27 not 24

Video on Monday is going to cover this a little but let me know if you need more after that!
Well done!

Just a quick question: Can you charge the Mevo+ while using it?
Yes you can, just need to make sure to use the proper cords when doing so.

Yes it’s reading what the ball is actually doing, so if you use a range ball especially flighted ones, you will get the numbers of that ball.
Anyway to link the blog?
Been awhile since doing the video, which blog?

Just got mine and was wondering do I down load FS golf or FS mevo app
FS golf for Mevo plus

Hmmm I thought I got it, but I’ll look at it!
