Some of those early stories are model examples in imagination and concision. A truly wonderful collection that finishes on the first and probably best appearance of the Destroyer. Nothing that followed, not even the epic Simonson run, bettered what can be found here.
I enjoy reading Marvel Silver Age books in order to transport me back to the time when life was more simple. It's a good change of pace from our modern world for me. I also enjoy looking at the artwork.
Im so glad I bought this when it was announced it was being reprinted! I got the moden looking cover and went as far as getting vol 2 and 3 on ebay and Loki vol 1! Jack Kirby art is a world of its own!
I hope they reprint vols 2 & 3, for two reasons : matching spines plus I think the material in vol 2 & 3 is stronger ( the height of Kirby/Lee's run ).

I did the same thing! I got started in the Jack Kirby fever and buying everything as well as Steve Ditkos art!
The stories are great in it as well tho...
3 great villains..the Cobra,Mr.Hyde,and the Absorbing Man.

I noticed that the paper is very thin. My copy I could see the writing and graphics from the opposite page. Shame for such great content.
The paper was definitely thicker in older omnis from years past, it's not so thin that it really bothers me now though honestly
...well get ready for vol 1 Amazing Spiderman to be the same! I preordered my copy!
