I work for the top major cellular carrier. One other tip, if there is not enough signal to make a call, you may be able to still use texting. Texting doesn’t use a channel, it is done in the overhead messaging the device (phone), uses to talk with the cell site tower. The overhead is very small so doesn’t require much bandwidth thus not needing strong signal. Of course, if there is absolutely nothing there, you have nothing. Great video!

I use a soft RV washing telescopic brush from Walmart. If you haven’t wash it for a while you need to pressure wash, to get bugs and major dirt odd. Be mindful of the decals. Use general dawn soap and water to wash. Then detail around lights using a toothbrush, windows, door, water heater door, heater door, etc. Then I use Zeppo Floor wax from Home Depot once it is really clean, 3 very (very light) light coverings each. I like F11 spray too. It will look like glass.

I wanna win! Great video! I agree with all of your must have’s. I would add the Anderson leveling blocks. We frequently stay in state parks that have several inches of cross slope in the sites. It is enough that the wheels on one side of our fifth wheel would be off the ground when we were level. The blocks make it so easy to level side to side before we unhitch the rig. I also use the Level Mate, so I can see the level from the truck as I pull up on the blocks.

If you are on a paved camping lot in the hot summer, you will see why you want to use the snap pads. It prevents you from leaving marks with your landing gear. Also if you are on grass, it will keep your landing gear from sinking in the mud/dirt, throwing you off level.

Took lots of notes. Already have many of the things you have. Loved the zero gravity chairs. Chris falls asleep within minutes of rocking back. My big issue was getting my fat rear end out of it!! We replaced them with rocking chairs and foot stools and love them. We do still have the zero gravity chairs sitting out by the pool.

The most essential RV item my wife and I liked and use the most is a "French door 12v compressor 17 cub in refrigerator". with 1160 watt solar panels (My overkill) and 4 AGM batteries. We boon dock and it just runs and runs and runs. We sold our residential and this refrigerator needs no gas or leveling.

Great video lotta good ideas I’m with you on the snap pads I have a 2004 5th wheel with the rectangular feet and I just put boards down tire minder is still in my bucket list hope to get one soon I found washing my RV I used to 5 gallon pails one with soapy water and the other just clean water I rinse my brush and re-soap every time I start washing no fancy brush and it works very well We have a camper rug the size of our awning picked up at Menards kind of like a Home Depot on sale very reasonable for our bed we put a 1 inch foam mattress pad down with a mattress topper we sleep very comfortable we do have a surge protector it works very well and I’m glad we had it with the big thunderstorms that we had last year thanks from Wisconsin

We use snap pads on our 41’ 5th wheel. We are full time and during wetter seasons we find they really help to keep us from sinking down. We have had one experience where they didn’t help, and we decided to go to a different area. Not all products are perfect in all situations so we use our best judgement and do what we need to do. We do like the snap pads and we prefer to be with them than not. We give them a thumbs up. Tire minders; we wouldn’t be without. They have saved us twice. I mean, if there’s anything we can do to step up our safety on the road, why wouldn’t we use them. There’s the comfort in knowing the tires are being monitored. TPMS and surge protector are required. The TPMS already saved us from a blowout. When washing your rig, never use a brush or acid on it. We use microfiber on an extended pole.

We use Blue Beacon to wash, remind them NO BRUSHES. We love our tpms (brand is TST), snap pads and surge protector. Still curious how your new mattress worked, we are still investigating. We are part-timers so we have a nice mattress to come home to....

My wife and I bought a 4” memory foam mattress and it made it more comfortable, but it didn’t support our back. We woke up sore each day. After the 2nd camping trip, we broke down and Memorial Day sales, we bought a Sealy mattress medium firm for $545. Best Buy ever. We slept in our trailer the night we got it and love it. Ready for our next trip! They put crappy mattresses in them cuz everyone likes it different. Go buy a quality mattress. There are some companies that cater to full timers.
Jason, we went through many camp chairs, we notice a friends chairs so we asked about how the think, they love them and have had the for over 5-years. We order a set, they fold up nice, but are a little long. We had ours for 1.5- year's now they are great... Vented back for the hot days and a taller head support. You should have 2 buckets when washing your rig or car. One with soap and water and one with just water to rinse the brush off before dipping it back into the soapy water. Also, the brush can not, ever touch the ground. One other thing, NEVER use dish soap to wash your rig! That will also cause scratches by stripping the protective wax off the surface as your washing it. A good automotive soap is worth the money.
We did use the automotive soap and we NEVER let the brush touch the ground… but the two bucket rule - that’s solid. Nice tip here firebird.. we will use that one!! Thanks!!
We are full timers and have internet through “mobile must have” as I work remotely. We have snap pads (gives us a bigger foot print in the mud) and TPMs all part of our safety and high priority must haves I wax my rig with Wizard wax n shine and some microfiber cloth’s. No water needed. Love. It

I got a commercial boot brush for scraping and cleaning boots and shoes. It works for hiking boots and shoes after hikes, though a lot of times I have flippers on and just kick them off, if around camp.
TPMS Saved our behinds yesterday 5-30-22 with one of our brand new tires. We drove from Hinton, Oklahoma to the west side of ABQ, NM. 13 miles from our destination. One of the rear drivers side tires blow on the 40’ 5th wheel. Definitely a must have

Great video! We agree with all the items including the snap pads. We have them and they work great in Sandy or muddy conditions. Will not travel without a tpms and surge protection. Love the video btw, I really need to get some of those tpms for my fifth wheel but they are a bit pricey and how often do you have to replace those watch batteries in the sensors? Lol 😂
We have yet to replace the batteries on the 5th wheel TPMS… Michael is very good about helping you maintain your batteries too!! Check them out for sure cuz! When you lose a tire and you don’t have them… that’s the time you’ll say I wished I would have!!

I have considered the snap pads for the rear jacks but I really like the Anderson blocks (red bucket style) for the front jacks. They really help when some extra height is needed.
@@Ournotsoperfectlife I love the “lego” style blocks for the rear and using under the axles when the site isn’t perfectly level side to side. I’ll level with those blocks before using my auto level so the system isn’t stressed to reach level. I actually have several 2x10 boards cut to about 12” long that I’ll use for the rear as well as the leveling blocks for the rear when the ground falls away in the rear ( less stroke for the rear jacks ). The buckets up front work well to make up for a lot of stroke on the front jacks and they are really strong. I was skeptical at first because they’re plastic, but they’re actually quite substantial

TPMS and surge protector are required. The TPMS already saved us from a blowout. When washing your rig, never use a brush or acid on it. We use microfiber on an extended pole.
We learned that the brush was garbage.. we will likely get the microfiber for sure!! TPMS and surge are required - agreed!!!

We use Blue Beacon to wash, remind them NO BRUSHES. We love our tpms (brand is TST), snap pads and surge protector. Still curious how your new mattress worked, we are still investigating. We are part-timers so we have a nice mattress to come home to....

Yep Tpms- tireminder . Yes to surge protector. Did not have snap pads, did fine. We got a mattress topper. Not an inflating mattress. We have a small power washer. (Fb marketplace used) zero gravity chairs, have a bad knee, great for elevating. Thanks but selling RV for health reasons. Passing on the good chairs and mat

My wife and I bought a 4” memory foam mattress and it made it more comfortable, but it didn’t support our back. We woke up sore each day. After the 2nd camping trip, we broke down and Memorial Day sales, we bought a Sealy mattress medium firm for $545. Best Buy ever. We slept in our trailer the night we got it and love it. Ready for our next trip! They put crappy mattresses in them cuz everyone likes it different. Go buy a quality mattress. There are some companies that cater to full timers.

Jason, we went through many camp chairs, we notice a friends chairs so we asked about how the think, they love them and have had the for over 5-years. We order a set, they fold up nice, but are a little long. We had ours for 1.5- year's now they are great... Vented back for the hot days and a taller head support. You should have 2 buckets when washing your rig or car. One with soap and water and one with just water to rinse the brush off before dipping it back into the soapy water. Also, the brush can not, ever touch the ground.
One other thing, NEVER use dish soap to wash your rig! That will also cause scratches by stripping the protective wax off the surface as your washing it. A good automotive soap is worth the money.
We did use the automotive soap and we NEVER let the brush touch the ground… but the two bucket rule - that’s solid. Nice tip here firebird.. we will use that one!! Thanks!!

I have to have my suction cup hooks to hang beach towels on the outside of our RV. Otherwise I end up overrun with towels inside. A lot of places don't allow clotheslines.

I got a commercial boot brush for scraping and cleaning boots and shoes. It works for hiking boots and shoes after hikes, though a lot of times I have flippers on and just kick them off, if around camp.

Saved our behinds yesterday 5-30-22 with one of our brand new tires. We drove from Hinton, Oklahoma to the west side of ABQ, NM. 13 miles from our destination. One of the rear drivers side tires blow on the 40’ 5th wheel.

Great video! We agree with all the items including the snap pads. We have them and they work great in Sandy or muddy conditions. Will not travel without a tpms and surge protection. And the mattress is a absolute must have.

Love the video btw, I really need to get some of those tpms for my fifth wheel but they are a bit pricey and how often do you have to replace those watch batteries in the sensors? Lol 😂
We have yet to replace the batteries on the 5th wheel TPMS… Michael is very good about helping you maintain your batteries too!! Check them out for sure cuz! When you lose a tire and you don’t have them… that’s the time you’ll say I wished I would have!!

I have considered the snap pads for the rear jacks but I really like the Anderson blocks (red bucket style) for the front jacks. They really help when some extra height is needed.
So we have the Lego style blocks and have often looked at the Anderson buckets… how do like as opposed to the others??
@@Ournotsoperfectlife I love the “lego” style blocks for the rear and using under the axles when the site isn’t perfectly level side to side. I’ll level with those blocks before using my auto level so the system isn’t stressed to reach level. I actually have several 2x10 boards cut to about 12” long that I’ll use for the rear as well as the leveling blocks for the rear when the ground falls away in the rear ( less stroke for the rear jacks ). The buckets up front work well to make up for a lot of stroke on the front jacks and they are really strong. I was skeptical at first because they’re plastic, but they’re actually quite substantial
