For heaven’s sake, dump the dinette and change things around so you can sleep in the bed with the slides in, and the bathroom is better. The washer/dryer is definitely a plus, but if you’re gonna full-time in this you need more CCC.
As an owner of a 2022 KW29, I would be remiss if I did not add a few comments. I’m a little late, but I am glad that I did not miss this video. First, the 2023 has a different bathroom configuration. Ours does not have a radial shower. That would have been a deal breaker for us. We have the rectangular base, but we do have a radial shaped door. It was interesting to see that the shower is now mounted on the outside wall. Our toilet is porcelain. It’s about $200 to replace the toilet with a new porcelain. I just replaced ours on our Florida trip as the other one had a flush valve issue. You picked up on the strong points. The storage is very good. We use the closet for the washer/dryer for additional pantry space. The narrow storage to the right of the refrigerator has two drawers that are good for keeping bottles of certain beverages safe. We like the combo cook top and the combo microwave very much. We also like our 12 cubic foot residential fridge. The storage under the dinettes is good, however, the drawers have a tendency to not latch in place as well as they should. We have a problem with creeping drawers, but the storage is excellent. The bed is not my favorite, but with time, I’ve managed to make the best of it. We added a mattress topper to make it more comfortable, but it’s still a challenge to make the bed and fold for travel. I love the Ford engine. I’m a little disappointed with the cab space. With the seats located so close to the divider between cab and coach, it is a challenge to have enough legroom for me, and the passenger seat has to sit perfectly straight up. Ok for the dog, but not for my wife. Also, at the time, Quantum was considered the premium Class C in the lineup. Could they throw in a few upgrades for sound and/or comfort? I should be able to control the radio volume without taking a hand off the wheel. All in all, it is a good combination of efficient space and comfort. We’re not full-time, but we do go for 6 weeks at a time, so we do make use of every inch of space as well testing the limits of all of the operating systems like plumbing, with tankless hot water, electrical and entertainment.
We bought a 2023 KW29. Traded in a 34’ Class A, and have no regrets. We added a 3” foam mattress topper, and the bed is more comfortable than our bed at home. The shower works well for us, as does the toilet. It has one of the best floor plans I’ve seen, with no wasted space. The dual A/C units work great in the Florida heat. The new 7.3L V8 is a beast, and we’re getting a little more than 8 MPG towing a 5500 lb. Jeep Gladiator, with the generator running and both roof top A/Cs blasting. Covid era build quality has been an issue for the entire RV industry. Ours has been to the dealer a few times to fix Thor related issues. Once those were resolved, it’s a great RV.
Really like your comments. We too own a 2023 KW29 quantum. The only thing we would change is the shower. It’s quite small and it would be better to have a rectangular shower because that corner in the bathroom is really useless anyway. Also, the screens don’t stay in place very well and have a gap that bugs get in the coach with, but on the flipside, I can get our Starlink cable through the screen sides so I guess that’s a little bit of a blessing. Thanks for your comments.
They had me then they lost me. That bed and plastic toilet is a deal breaker. That CCC is really low too. They really need at a minimum to have a tilt a bed. The tankless water heater is a awesome feature. I love the size of the outdoor awning and the amount of storage cabinets are great
This unit checks a lot of boxes. However, I'm concerned about the cargo carrying capacity. That bathroom would probably cause issues, as would the folded bed while on the road if my hubs wanted to pull over and take a nap. Still ... plusses and minuses.
Thor: After seeing many reviews over the past three years of all class types and most manufacturers, I am amazed that no one has yet found a better place for the television. Would it be possible to install the TV at a central point on the ceiling and attached to a support located between the outside skin and the interior wall of the coach. That would eliminate a new point of roof leakage. Running wires within the arm supporting the TV would keep installation clean and aesthetically appealing. Then the TV could pivot down for viewing and oscillate nearly 360° for maximum adjustment.
My dislikes are the fold up bed., the shower and toilet. The step up to the bedroom. My likes are the awning the theater seats, the king bed. And the fact they give you the choice of a stackable washer dryer. I myself wouldn’t get the washer/ dryer hookups. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Big dislike a Ford chassis, the step to the bedroom & bathroom, exposed city water and hookups, and 50 Amp power cord not on a reel. Love the furniture, the huge bedroom TV, most important the stackable washer and dryer.
We own a Class C and I don't think more than one person could live in it full time. Dislikes: ccc (especially if considering for full time use), twisty storage door locks, step up to bedroom, msrp/price, no oven, window where headboard would be, bathroom, Likes: King bed (love that), external tv, tankless hot water heater, solar, pull out storage under dinette seating, tv position, pull out drawers in pantry. Close, but the Entegra Esteem 29V is still the best floorplan Class C out there.
I really liked the exterior paint. Normally I dislike the colors of the exterior. I also like the washer dryer, and the theater seats. Dislikes are the small shower, and the plastic toilet. The 3rd dislike is the dinette I would rather have a loveseat or 2 additional recliners, and a couple of lagoon tables. Or if a dining table is necessary I would rather have chairs instead of benches or a booth.
There was no washer or dryer, just a space for it. But how are you going to fit one through the door? Probably won't fit. Should have put it in already at the factory
Matt, I am hearing major bad things about the Ford Godzilla engine. You can google 7.3L godzilla problems and you will shocked. My 2017 V10 has been bullet proof and was looking forward to new powertrain in Class C. Ford quality in ecoboost products has been realy bad. Too bad Toyota doesnt make a chassis with the 5.7L . Love your reviews!
I had a 1991 Toyota Dolphin V6. Bought it with 52,000 miles. Engine never missed a beat! 21 feet, small but adequate for one person. 12mpg, but I had a lot of stuff in it. Lived in it during Covid.
Agree with your consistent dislikes completely! The bathroom got the short end of the stick here. Lots of great features w/theater seating and storage. CCC too low and how about slam latches? Thanks for the review you two!!
A KW29 … YES !!!!! … our favourite (open bias admitted) - going to an RV show this weekend 🇨🇦 hoping to see one there !! .:. price of the medium sized trash can (before Mattscash discount) is: $33.10 ($139,029/12,601 x 3) - Walmart campground delivery on a stat holiday price, but not $156 sorry Matt .:. 👍🏽 stackable (we will take the 150 lb loss of ccc); 👍🏽 king beds rule; 👍🏽 dual AC; 👍🏽 800 lb OHB; 👍🏽 good bedroom storage; 👍🏽solid surface counter; 👍🏽exterior stores is spray lined NOT carpet; 👍🏽 exterior trim and paint (even without fb); 👍🏽 The weights work with the hitch (7500 lb GCGV and 1569 ccc) .:. We’d upgrade the fridge 👎🏽👍🏽 only if it was lighter .:. Matt, I thought one of the leprechauns had a W/D option - combo tho right? .:. Like always thanks for the review M/A
We have a 2023 KW29 and really like it. We tow a 2017 GMC Acadia and the Godzilla big V8 does just fine. We had the dealership install a stackable washer and dryer and we found it to be quite handy especially on long trips. We wished the shower was bigger and the water saver feature actually worked but those are the only downsides. I put a sim card in the Winegard and I can't tell if it gets better reception than my cell phone. We use Skylink for our internet. The Winegard is handy if you're just staying 1 night and don't want to setup the Skylink.
Very nice class C. But I thought the stackable washer and dryer was already in the unit. So now, how are you going to fit one through the door and get it inside? Doesn't look like it will fit. I need one of these class C motorhomes to eventually live in.
I will still watch and comment on your videos but my dreams of RV’ing the Army took away! My husband is retiring after over 20 years and countless deployments. I just found out today if he wants his wife get any of his retirement money he has to pay like $190 a month. Plus $300 for medical insurance and because I’m on SSDI I have to get part b which will take over $400 a month from my check! I have never been so disappointed in how our military is treated. Now I understand why so many veterans are homeless!
Very nice unit! Lots of storage for a class C. Prime poop position is ok but it is the quality of the toilet that is not prime. For the quality, the price is good. Thank you guys!
Toilet is no big deal, have dealership replace it. It would be nice to have outdoor hookups hidden, but that is not a deal killer. This may be the best Class c I’ve seen, just have to think about that cargo capacity is my only issue. Great job 👍
We own a 2023 KW29 with a CCC of 1,500 lbs and since it's just my wife and I (plus the dogs) - the CCC hasn't bee a problem but we noticed a lot of people are worried about it. I noticed the 2024 model ups the CCC to over 1,900 lbs. I'm curious how they did that? Did they modify the suspension to accommodate the additional weight??
Please tell me why there are 3 levels to this motorhome! One step up at the kitchen - bedroom doorway, and another step up on the other side of the bed! I saw Matt fall onto the bed. He can pretend he sat down, but that was a fall. All motorhomes need to be one level floor ... Period! This one is out of the game! I like it has a king size bed, but it folds up. And, the slide has to be out in order to sleep on it! What if it broke and I can't get it out???? And, I am days away from being able to get it fixed! I like that it is set up for a stackable washer dryer. I like that it is 31 feet long. I can park in my local state park.
Very nice RV. Actually it is hard to find something to complain about. Things I like: 1) Theater seats 2) All of the storage (good job in the drawers under the dinette) 3) The kitchen (I like the combo induction and gas stove) Things I dislike: 1) The step up to the bedroom 2) The shower ( should have been the rectangle) 3) Plastic toilet, not good 😢
hey matt was in the hospital in icu and saw the neatest thing that I'm sure you haven't seen it's a bathroom vanity with sink and two doors on the front open on side and on the inside is a toilet paper holder now open the other door and the toilet rotates out could be some use in b class with shower I'm thinking what ya think big daddy
Don't worry, RV prices are going to come down soon with everything else. There will be big sales when everything crashes. And it's right around the corner.
@@abruegger007 You think MSRP or the price the manufacturer charges the dealers is going to come back down in the future? When has that ever happened? A 12 pack of soda is $9.99 now here in NY. It was $6.79 same time last year. I don't think prices are coming down ever again. There'll be "sales" but regular price stays put. That's why Big Business loves a bit of inflation now and then.
I believe in life you get what you pay for so I’m not surprised at the discounts being offered. I’d personally buy a used RV with much better quality and workmanship. How long do you honestly expect these motorhomes to last? I rest my case….
I'm pretty sure I'm the reason you talk about the passenger seat being able to recline (: Here's how I'd fix this..flip the boot with the theater seats and make the booth seat adjustable just like you would a car seat or skip the booth and make it a table. All shelving needs to be adjustable especially in the pantry
I like this one. No oven would rule it out for my wife lol. And I agree with the bathroom,, it sucks all the way around but to have the washer dryer and the rest of the unit I could deal with it.
I really dislike the bed. I cannot do the flip bed and king size is just too big. I love the ability to have a washer/dryer and the combo induction/propane cook top. Not a fan of the step up or the low CCC.
I asked for this review!!! Thank you so much for showing a class c with w/d. It is out of my budget right now, but I will be looking for this in the future
Hiiiiiiii Matt, love your personality please don’t let anyone change who you are and what you do!!!! I saw you when I was watching UA-camrs show up for TAMPA RV SHOW!!! Loved it, and you did a great job….if I ever want to buy one of these class c or whatever their called, definitely gonna call you!!!! Thank you for sharing, good job! Blessings❤❤❤
Likes: theater seats across from TV, induction/gas burners, king bed and storage. Dislikes that can’t be fixed: over 30’, foldy bed, bathroom too small - use w/d space and go to laundromat.
I just don't know what to say here.. There was room to put in a bigger shower and instead they just left the space empty vs putting in a rectangular shower??? Why?? Decent sized MH and great having a place for a washer and dryer hookup... Just wish there was more cargo capacity...
12/23/23 If you go to the Thor website now you'll see that the floorplan for the KW29 shows a 30 x 36 shower. This is quite an improvement over the 32 x 32 radius shower that you see in this video.
Matt, I watched the independent video on Liquified. He poured an ounce of Liquified into a pint of water and dog food😂We need a REAL WORLD TEST that uses an ounce of Liquified in a 40 gallon black tank👍
Matt, can plastic toilets be swapped out for china and can it be done by the dealership? I really like your reviews. Also, is white the only interior General carries? I much prefer a darker interior. Thanks.
If this is Thor’s top-of-the-line Class ac why doesn’t it have slam latch doors? Shouldn’t it have at least 2 solar panels? I didn’t like the shower size, plastic toilet (what cheapskates!). I didn’t really like the layout. I think the entry door should be behind the passenger seat. A U shaped dinette if there is room would be better. Would rather have the bed as a queen bed in slide out in the back so that one could access the bed with the slide out in.
I dont care for the outside connections for water and sewer. I live in a state where winter can take a toll on plastic and outer water connections. Just curious if this model would offer all wheel drive and a winter style model?
Ford doesn't offer AWD or 4wd on the E series. In theory ujoint will convert it to 4x4 but that adds alot of weight, and this has a low occc. Plus it's 20 to 30k and this is already way overpriced for a Thor made Class C. If you want a Class C with AWD you need something built on a Transit (or Sprinter in a year or two). There are a few 4x4 Cs on truck chassis but they tend to be very expensive.
lol..another wrinkly Thor roof...be it slightly wrinkled still going to be an issue ..too bad as this is a great layout with an outside TV washer dryer etc..still wont buy it due to the roof
Honestly, seriously...don't you have anything else to show but Ford's, Matt? 🥺 You truly discriminate against people who just don't like Ford's... And only one opening window in the upper means I wouldn't sleep there and that king sized bed is obnoxious. What if I'm a single person who wanted to live in it? I wouldn't want the rock hard literal mesa to sleep on all by myself. And it's absolutely ignorant to put in so many storage places with such a small ccc. Just dumb. Somebody...please tell me where I can go online to find an RV to live in full time that a single person can be comfortable in? Any suggestions? I'm running out of options here.
Love these guys!! Thanks for this video because I'm looking forward to fulltime living in my RV. This Thor Quantum is right up my ally. It really fits my needs. I love the fact that it comes with full body paint. I will be looking into this unit a lot closer, espsecially if it can be had for under $139k. So far #1 on my list!! Thanks P.S. Does this come in different lengths???
This is truly a diamond level, but it’s flawed…. The moment I saw Matt slide into the bathroom and saw the radius shower, I knew that Matt wasn’t gonna be happy…. On my shoulda/ coulda list, the bathroom either could have been in the back and the wardrobe across from the bed…. Just thinking out loud
Not even close to an acceptable full time unit much less the best.😂 Fold up bed is a no go, weekend use only. No oven, weekend use ok. Radius shower, why? You had room for a square one. Single bowl sink. Ford Godzilla engine, they eat cams and lifters at 30k miles. Just too many dislikes for full time, weekend ok.
For heaven’s sake, dump the dinette and change things around so you can sleep in the bed with the slides in, and the bathroom is better. The washer/dryer is definitely a plus, but if you’re gonna full-time in this you need more CCC.

1500 CCC...by the time you add the weight of a stackable washer/dryer and the stuff you normally take, you may have to leave the family at home
This unit checks a lot of boxes. However, I'm concerned about the cargo carrying capacity. That bathroom would probably cause issues, as would the folded bed while on the road if my hubs wanted to pull over and take a nap. Still ... plusses and minuses.

I'd dump the dinette & put in a Fireplace/TV unit. Everything else is ok with me.
I Agree with ALL MATTS LIKES. YES LOTS FOR THE MONEY. SOLO WITH PETS. 2 YRS RESEARCHING W&D BIG PLUS GREAT STORAGE LOVE. THE SLIDES NOT EVEN OUT!!
Andrea, how was Matt able to concentrate during this filming? you look fabulous!
Likes: theater seats across from TV, induction/gas burners, king bed and storage. Dislikes that can’t be fixed: over 30’, foldy bed, bathroom too small - use w/d space and go to laundromat.
Did I miss the CCC?
It’s at the beginning! I totally missed it lol.
I hate that you can't pull into walmart and sleep because of that bed. Bathroom sucks but its is different and I like that.
I just don't know what to say here.. There was room to put in a bigger shower and instead they just left the space empty vs putting in a rectangular shower??? Why?? Decent sized MH and great having a place for a washer and dryer hookup... Just wish there was more cargo capacity...
Love the layout. But it's tough to see when the camera is too close. Pan back some so we can see more of each unit. Thanks, we enjoy the shows
Why? They're all the same.
12/23/23 If you go to the Thor website now you'll see that the floorplan for the KW29 shows a 30 x 36 shower. This is quite an improvement over the 32 x 32 radius shower that you see in this video.
Love this thanks for letting us know
I love the class C rv model, but I would still open for the laundromat .
It would be so fun to camp next to you guys! 🥰🥳
Hi Matt I am big fan of yours .. keep it going. Btw I watch all these videos from India cause I love the RV life
Are you guys going to be at the RV show at Timonium fairgrounds this upcoming weekend??? (2/17-2/19)
Yes, ma'am.
How does andrea know how much this rv's bunk bed can hold or how many pounds this rv's top front bunk bed can hold? Or did she just guess it?
Thank you!
Very nice! 👍🤘Thank you! Thank you!🔶️🔸️💗🧡🧡❤🧡🧡💗🔸️🔶️
Love it!
I just don't like the TV mounted next to the dinette. Would rather have a larger window and loose the TV.
Great unit I have 2 amazing things I like is when we buy ours is my wifey and fur princess will be in it
1985 is calling. They want their RV back.
I thought the Quantum came with 12v only refrigerators, you mentioned it was propane and electric. Did this change? Thanks
Matt, I watched the independent video on Liquified. He poured an ounce of Liquified into a pint of water and dog food😂We need a REAL WORLD TEST that uses an ounce of Liquified in a 40 gallon black tank👍
Matt in the 25' class c from a quality perspective Winnebago or Gulfstream?
The shower seems like it's wasiting room in that corner. They could have just filled that entire corner with a square shower and have a lot more room.
I still prefer the Omni or Magnatude.
Matt, what about the twist locks on the outside storage doors? Can they be changed?
Do matt and his wife, andrea , work at an rv dealership? Because why else do the couple they do all their rv reviews shows and /or videos?
Matt, can plastic toilets be swapped out for china and can it be done by the dealership? I really like your reviews. Also, is white the only interior General carries? I much prefer a darker interior. Thanks.
Hi Matt, will you be at the Chicago RV Show this weekend?
No I wont :(
U have all that storage but u will not be able to use it because of the CCC
31' is way too big for my comfort. 23-27' is enough for me... Still not a fan of slides
For those of us who don't know how to open up the bumper for the stinky slinky, how about showing how it opens up.
Would love to see a super c for full time living with a work desk instead of dinnet.
Hate those small radius showers, that's a deal breaker.
I would add at least 4 more solar panels.
is it possible to get a u-shape in place of the dinette and a couch in place of the theater seats?
What was the discoloration on the outside cab over?
Never seen a donut skip before
Hey Matt, Is the 2024 50 AMP?
I dont care for the outside connections for water and sewer. I live in a state where winter can take a toll on plastic and outer water connections. Just curious if this model would offer all wheel drive and a winter style model?
Summer use only if I’m not mistaken. Good luck.
Good video Matt and Andrea and Matt you're crazy lol....
I agree 💯
I'm running out of options here.
we never minded a plastic toilet. we just needed room to move our arms, lol.
Matt, you are hardcore. You suggest they upgrade to a Class A just to get a porcelain toilet, lol. You have very interesting priories. 😄
Nobody! Love ya Matt. Go Andrea go!
👍
🤘👍
No oven!!! No counter space!!!! Otherwise this would have been perfect!
74” bed👎🏻👎🏻
Ccc to low for full timing
Friends don't let friends buy gas super C's!
Me too the toilet but it great.
Too narrow with the slide in. A fold-up king to boot? Pass.
No way i could full time in that unless i was on my own ... thats more of a Divorcee vehicle
