Hey taughtly. Have you ever covered a writters effect video?
Yes :) ua-cam.com/video/OdCi1A4ZfRo/v-deo.html
Hello ma'am, thank you so much for help!! I noticed that formal report writing wasn't covered in the long video. Also, which extended response do you think we might get for paper 1 F/M 24 series?
Hello! Yes I've been meaning to include a formal report video :) That text type has some uncertainty, as teachers really weren't sure if Cambridge would actually include a formal report and didn't (until this year!). So I'll make a video to cover that. The most common types that come up are letter, diary and articles, but you should make sure you're prepared for anything. Every summer, three different versions of the exam come out for different time zones, and usually the Q3 will all have a different text type, so really no way to predict. Thank you for watching!
Here's an old report video I made for online school during the pandemic for report writing: ua-cam.com/video/lTCrY4eQH3Q/v-deo.html The video quality and style isn't as good as my newer lessons.
Although it's for Second Language, the writing style and structure is basically the same as for First Language. Essentially you want to be using formal, impartial and unbiased language.
@@Taughtly Noted with thanks!!
Hello! You can now view my formal report writing video lesson early (free) on my website here: taughtly.co.uk/courses/formal-report-writing-for-igcse-first-language-english/

Tysm for the explanations :D But what if we had a question stating that I am the owner, should I give him a name or is it not allowed?
You can give him a nice if you like. Just keep the name sensible. Don't call him Harry Potter or something silly.
Can u plz guide how i can improve my vocabulary, plz recommend any books
The best thing you can do to improve your vocabulary and comprehension is read often and read widely. Not just fiction but non-fiction too. Doesn't have to be "literature". Read stuff you actually find fun! I have some recommendations here: taughtly.co.uk/book-recommendations-for-ks4-14-16-years-old-april-2022/
@@Taughtly Thanks a lot
Does anyone have list of powerful vocabulary and adjectives along with meanings, and also quotes that i can include in my creative writings plz 😢
Just be careful you don't sound like this... ua-cam.com/video/LcM4zWiikKQ/v-deo.html
Hey, when we are attempting the interview for Q3, can we include sentence from the presenter like "hey, welcome to our show sorts.." or should we dive right into the topic?
Yes, you can, but keep it brief and make sure you remain focused on the bullet point questions the exam question gives you ☺
@@Taughtly okay, thankyou!
