- 15th and Lincoln St Plattsmouth 3T22. This was not operational a few months ago, but it running once again. You can hear the 17th and Lincoln 3T22 (half a mile away), along with another after attack. Cass County sirens are tested on the First Saturday of the Month at 11 AM all year round, in Alert and Attack, and then on the newer 2001-130s, Wail is tested.
Sounds Healthy! It Sounds Like It's an A series
Yoshifan121 Yep! Its 3 Phase!
I Figured. Because of the fast windup
This 3T22 is defiantly not from the 70's or 80's. All the 3T22's in Plattsmouth were made sometime in between 1955 and the early 1960's. You can tell because this siren has a shorter and bumpier GE motor that only the early XT22's were equipped with. They stopped using the GE motors and switched to Marathon motors in the late 1960's which are smooth and taller. Also the earlier 3T22's with the GE motors were equipped with an agastat for the solenoids so they would continue to cycle on the wind down which was also removed from the later 3T22's presumably to cut cost and to lower complexity.
You would be right on that. The other 3 they have are the same way, this one being the only one with a yellow Federal box, the others have big silver boxes.
@@natej4230 Are the silver boxes bigger than the standard RC6?
Joethaboss66 Yes, 3x the size. Probably contains the rc6 and the old decoders
@@natej4230 They have 3 3T22's?
Joethaboss66 I have seen a 4th one but cannot locate it. It was at the top of a hill.
Is one of the dampers shut it sounds like the low one is closed
Charger vlogs It could have been, but it was high up there and leaning.
Its not.
Yo message me about getting on base and seeing how the poles work. I can try to make that happen
For Offutt AFB
I'll see if I can get out there again sometime, I've filmed them before, but I'm down for seeing them again. The Siren testing schedule used to be Mondays at Noon but I hear its on Wednesdays now.. I'll be filming our sirens here in Omaha this Wednesday, so I'll see if I can film them again later this month when I'm not busy.
I meant a inside look as to what the inner workings are
