Dan was a vocal teacher, he did not lose control! He knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to his voice. We have learned that Dan uses whatever technique is necessary to get the sound he wants in a particular song.
I read a comment from a metal singer who said the jaw vibrato is a technique specific to that genre of music , I thought it was an interesting . Love your reactions , and this particular song and guitar collaboration .
What you call "a loss of control" is actually a technique Dan uses quite often in his performances. He knows exactly what he is doing. That being said, thanks for reacting to this and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Totally agree he a metal singer and his technique the way he sing. And Dan knows what he's doing. He is not an opera singer either, not trained as one. Metal singer Epic singer
I love the way Dan and Garrett took a sad song about losing someone important to you and ABSOLUTELY made it an anthem to the joy of knowing that in your heart they’re always with you! 😊
Dan is doing a cover of Battledragon’s cover of this song. He did a great job of Battledragon’s cover but they deserve credit for the arrangement. Dan should have credited them like he did Disturbed’s cover of Sounds of Silence.
@@nubbyrose87 I would say influenced maybe. I've heard their version and it's not the same. I was not super impressed with their version. Didn't have the same impact. Dan is always very transparent about those things. Like on Zombie he references the cover that he's covering.
With Dan's interpretation, the lyrics finally make sense! It's a masterpiece that only Dan can deliver, and Garrett did an outstanding job on the guitars as well. Breathtaking every time I listen!
I have only seen Dan use his jaw when he is in full metal mode. He doesn’t do that when he is singing other genres. I’m pretty sure it’s an intentionally stylized metal effect.
When i saw you were reacting to this, my first thought was - oh, he's gonna LOOOOVE this. Abour the jaw-vibrato, actually i learned, that it is a technique to use, when you're belting, and you want more rhythmic vibrato than you'll get from the diaphragm. Amd if you watch f.ex. Whitney Houston, she used that a LOT, you'll see her using that in more or less every single song. Dan mostly uses it in his fryscreams. This is actually the first time i can remember seeing him use it on a clear note, but i do think it might be to get that rhythmic vibrato on the belt. I seriously doubt him singing at that volume, and having any lack of support, so i simply don't agree with your assessment.
I have been waiting so long for this here we go my friend hold o. Put your seatbelt on love ya my talented friend keep them coming like his O holy night
Thank you Daniel for another wonderful reaction/analysis!! I always look forward to your thoughtful, energetic & enthusiastic reaction. I appreciate your knowledge and wisdom. What a banger from Dan and Garrett!!🫶
Thank you Daniel for your joyful reaction. It was exactly what I need to lift me up this evening. I laughed out loud with you and smiled the whole way through. Always be this authentic and open person, please. You truly are a shining joyful light that I look forward to sharing music with.
What a wonderful masterpiece by Dan and his guitarist Garrett J. Peters. They turned a sad song into a metal anthem. A fantastic collaboration between both artists. For Celine Dion, I can well imagine that this song could have been a blessing and a curse at the same time. Thank you for your further reaction and insightful analysis of this epic cover by Dan. Thanks for sharing......
I heard this song with Dan for the first time when he put it out on UA-cam in February. I was driving my car on a snowing/icing road. Just let me say…. I had to stop my car, just to prevent my self from drive out of the road. This song is pure fireworks 💥 Love from Norway❤
This performance was a mega explosion of energy 💥⚡️☄️🔥...it was beyond words!!! Dan transformed this originally sad song into an epic battle anthem 💪🛡⚔️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Garret 🎸 was also amazing 👏🏻! Thank you Daniel, for reacting so well to this phenomenal work by Dan Vasc ;)
Lol Dan told us before he dropped this he would blow our roofs off (along with other things lol) He made this so much better than the original...❤ and when he slows it down it is breath taking. Lol but then the whole song was😁👍❤️ Loved your reaction... as always it was great. Once you start reacting to Dan, his fans find you... and request lots of Dan. Thank you so much for your honesty... enjoyed it. God Bless.
Another breathtaking performance by Dan and wonderful reaction by you. I love how he transforms this beautiful but sad love song into a metal anthem of hope. What amazing vocals and fantastic guitar work we are presented with. Thanks Daniel.
Another great cover that Dan has done is his power metal Danger Zone (Kenny Loggins) from: Top Gun. It’s exhilarating and you can see that Dan had so much fun doing it! Tanks for reacting to our favorite singer! #VascNation 🎉
You need to check out iron maiden (Bruce Dickinson) he almost always has a lot of jaw movement with his vibrato. He chooses when he wants to "add" vibrato rather than simply allowing it to naturally come out. In Dan's cover of Manowar battle hymn it's very pronounced and intentional, and in Bruce's case there's video of him LIVE doing the same, it's a very purposeful technique.
Have you noticed that Garrett is wearing our beloved Sonata Arctica tank top? Have you ever listened to the aforementioned band? By the way... Dan has done two covers of Sonata Arctica songs; Fullmoon and San Sebastian🎼🎶❤️
Love this one!!!! Dan made this into an anthem for Love. I do like how he does pay homage to the original a couple of times. We ask for Dan cause he's AMAZEBALLS!!! Another singer I think you'd really enjoy is Mili from Steelheart. They're an amazing group & he's an AMAZEBALLS singer!!!! Try "I'll Never Let You Go, Can't Stop Me Loving You, She's Gone (acoustic version), Sheila". Check them out!!!! (Somebody on Paetreon ask him to check them out. PLEASE) I would, but I'm broke!!!!!!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
In a discussion, Dan said it took him 2 years to train his jaw to do that. He wanted that kind of vibrato, because when ie sings in certain ways, the ordinary vibrato is not possible. If I remember correctly. The jaw vibrato is controlled by the diaphragm..
Dan does things on purpose he knows everything you are saying Dan taught music for a very long time he chooses to do his vibrato that way because it sounds good that way Dan has control over everything you forget Dan is a true seasoned professional he chooses those ways he. Can sing anything perfectly if he wanted to he never get lost Dan dosent mess up on anything Dan has had extensive trading in opera and classical he chooses to sing that way
When Daniel said most of his requests were for Dan and Tommy, I wanted to jump in and say this! It was a favorite of mine 60 years ago, and Erik's rendition is just WOW
Dan knows what he's doing. He's not losing muscle control. He was a vocal coach.

It’s not a loss of control in Dan’s case. The jaw jiggle is intentional.
What you call "a loss of control" is actually a technique Dan uses quite often in his performances. He knows exactly what he is doing. That being said, thanks for reacting to this and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Yes. The "jawbrato" is a very metal technique, and he executes with great purpose. ❤

Yes, I thought it was the only way to get vibrato when doing those very high metal screams.
This is my new happy song! Thank you!!!!
Awesome! Good to see you still watching the Stallion😉
You make my heart happy watching you react to Dan. Much thanks.😍
Oh yes, I feel the same way... He has the talent to carry you away. Eyes and ears are always open to receive ❤. I love it.

I didn't like it - I LOVED it! That was heart pounding and energizing exuberance! Thanks for another great reaction!
🤘👍❤️🙂

Have you ever listened to the aforementioned band?
By the way... Dan has done two covers of Sonata Arctica songs; Fullmoon and

I don't think that was loss of control, I think it was Dan being expressive and perhaps theatrical. Enjoyed your energetic reaction.
Thanks ❤🎉😊

Oh well I enjoyed it and iam skeptical about some part but Dan Vasc has most beautiful voice I every heard ❤
Sorry about the double post, it didn't show up so I redid it. My bad
Who knew you'd be able to do a workout to My Heart will go On !? Well Dan did of course! !
In a discussion, Dan said it took him 2 years to train his jaw to do that. He wanted that kind of vibrato, because when ie sings in certain ways, the ordinary vibrato is not possible. If I remember correctly. The jaw vibrato is controlled by the diaphragm..
I have often wondered if the jawbrato is used in filmimg the video by in the actual singing of the vocal he uses his normal vibrato.
You need to react to Dan Vasc cover of Amazing Grace. OMG
I have often wondered if he uses the jawbrato when filming and when the actual vocal is his normal vibrato

Check out HOUSE OF THE RISING SON BY ERIK GRONWALL..IT IS EPIC and No.1 on UA-cam..or close...his soul is felt in that song!!!!❤❤
When Daniel said most of his requests were for Dan and Tommy, I wanted to jump in and say this! It was a favorite of mine 60 years ago, and Erik's rendition is just WOW
I REQUEST..HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN, BY ERIK GRONWALL..JUST RECENTLY RELEASED ..NO 1 NOW ON UA-cam
It is even better by Tommy Johansson...
He sounds like Celine, who actually does it better than Tommy. Sorry. Dan’s version makes it more metallic and so upbeat!
@Dolly-wc9ne its only ok,no feeling..
Leider zu viele Pausen, zuviel Gerede, nix für mich😕
