Very useful and not only for the absent minded (like myself). The option to slide chords as well in standard tuning (which would be a pain with the real slide) comes real handy. Thank you for the insights!
I like using a floating trem (not necessarily a floyd) to get (not quite) slide sounds. And the way you used to record videos reminds me of a scene from Twin Peaks
There;s a guy named Michael Lee Firkins who did that, and he was UNBELIEVABLE. he seems to come from somewhat of a shredder background though, so we sound as different as can be.
Out of all the blues players Hubert is the one I just love, his sound is very special, I like most blues players but Sumlin is my favorite. I have been playing fingerstyle for about 18 months and slide about the same. Do you give lessons? I would be interested if you do.

Usually I’m a fast learner, but this is a stumper for me. I think I may have viewed this video like at least 50 times already. I tried shaking the strings like hell. I tried half an octave down. Are there certain things I should know about string gauge or nuances such as the speed in which the vibrato is played… maybe I’m looking at this from a vibrato perspective and it’s something entirely different… your wisdom would be much appreciated Kid.
