    Only a very few people on this planet are able to play the blues guitar for 8 minutes so tastefully and inspiring. True art.

    I played music the whole summer, for paying the bills. Bad mainstream electro and rap songs people enjoy. Usually, to wash my ears away from so many horrible, terrible musics, I listen to a lot of Bach, Beethoven Symphonies, Rachmaninov Concertos, Bill Evans trio, Ella Fitzgerald songs. And I cry on it, it's liking finding back an old friend, or a missed member of my family I haven't meet for too many years.
    Tonight I'm crying on this Kid Anderson's guitar solo. He has exactly what most of the nowadays music misses : heart, soul, ideas, knowledge, simplicity, fun, humanity. This man is a fantastic musician. He has all my respect. I wish him the great success he deserves.

    Where do these Norweigens get the feeling for great blues guitar. Greats like "Kid Andersen" and "Vidar Busk" to add a few to the many musicians from this part of the world who are "self schooled" in American Blues guitar. I am thankful for their music. I cannot compare "Joe Bonnamassa" with this art style and those who remark and compare lack the knowledge and depth of this great art form. Really it takes many many years to realize this. You have to apply yourself and its obvious that Kid and Vidar have far exceeded the rule of 10,000 hours. People its no secret to become better you have to put lots of time into it. Thanks Kid!

      It's funny you mention Kitchener. I used bring my amps for repair at Amplifiers plus. I live in Niagara Falls and there really isn't any music scene going on here. Yo mean to tell me that kid Andersen played Kitchener, Ontario? Wow that is strange to come all this way here from California. Like I said, I know guitar playing, I done it for years and I know a great player when I see one. It's always good to hear that a lot of women love blues too.

    I'm a casual Blues fan, born in Louisiana and raised in Mississippi. Grew up loving players like BB King, Albert & Freddy King, Albert Collins, and Otis Rush. And I've heard tons of cats in between who were talented and/or well-practiced. I first learned of this cat just yesterday on NPR radio and for whatever reason, all I hear is the Blues Guitar. As far as I'm concerned, he's the real deal. Why? My ears tell me so. Two things you can't really practice are heart and authenticity. SRV had both, and so does this fellow.

    Hi Lynda, I'm not sure who you are but your taste alone in music is so bang on It's frightening. I have followed Kid Andersen for a long and this young guy has got it. He can imitate any blues player under the face of the sun so exquisitely and such perfection. He defy anybody to show me someone who can even hold a candle to this guy. I'm so so burned out on watching everybody and his brother that come on friggin UA-cam and just noodle around playing insipid blues riffs. That kind of playing proves nothing. This is the guy to watch. If you can't do a video of this calibre, don't even bother coming on UA-cam. And to boot, this guy is from Norway. This guy can outplay everybody in the US. Take Bonamassa for example , excellent guitar playing, but the nerdy pretentious comments that are made sometimes are a bit much. Same as John Mayer, great player but this guy just thinks he's the cat's meow. Being humble means a lot. This guy here is so completely humble It's unreal. But Lynda, your taste in music is superb.

      @abrigospardos 4 роки тому +2

      No doubt he's absolutely amazing, but I don't think he would consider himself better than Otis Rush. Anyway it's a matter of preference at this level. I think the original song is called "Will My Man Be Home Tonight" and was written in 1960 by Mel London for the singer Lillian Offitt. The guitar parts were provided by Earl Hooker, who made it into an instrumental he later that year recorded as "Blues in D Natural". As far as I know, it wasn't until 1970 that Otis made it into "I Wonder Why".
