They should have re-released the original PS1 version with the current one we have. I want people to experience the PS1 edition of Klonoa since this game is so rare.
As a kid, those HD cutscenes were like the biggest reward. I can't remember how old I was, but this was one of my ever first games I owned and it was hard to beat! I had NO idea what they were saying, but the expressions and music were my clues. The ending was the most shocking, I was crushed! I wept and my dad came in wondering wtf was wrong with me, and I couldn't explain it. Friends borrowed this game from me, it was our guilty pleasure to play ( it looks and sound so gay, almost like Barbie). Good memories, thanks for posting this vid, I had a flashback from the past. 31:25 the Ghadius boss cutscene got some killer, sinister music.
Well good that they kept og voices from Ps1 and they atleast tried replicate og cut scenes but i bet with lower budget, sad really Og cut scenes were really stylished that was amazing to watch as young under 10 year old kid
The cut scenes of the remake are just the Wii version with a PS1 style Klonoa model slapped on it (and Balue i guess) and the original crunchy dialog. And of course since it's the wii version, all the music timings are fucked up. The Wii/remaster rendeition of the final in game cutscene is fucking awful. The animations are poor and the music loops. It's pretty clear to me that Klonoa DtP got the short end of the stick here. Klonoa 2 got a really good remaster treatment imo.

There actually was a Klonoa movie in development, but it ended up cancelled because of lack of funding by my speculation

the remaster was disappointing. the cut scenes were poor. the pixel option looks horrid be nice if they has the original visuals as an option.
