Two Out Of Control Labradors Practice Obedience Training During 1st Trip To A Store

Both Swag, and his buddy WALL·E, had their first field trip to Lowes today! It’s hard to believe it’s only been a smidge over a week for these easily distracted pals!
After being taught a solid foundation in obedience, we felt the guys were ready to be flooded with what triggers them to disconnect the most - noise, people, movement, and new and novel experiences! So everything ;)
So there’s literally no better place to do this than a busy store like Lowes!

Because I’ve made ALL of their choices for them from the moment they were left with me. We’ve patterned their permission-only behavior so heavily that they are now starting to default to their handlers rather than impulsively act in ways that only serve them!
Every single interaction we’ve had has been based in Permission Only. This has slowed the boys’ thought processing down, and has made the, much more self-aware. They’re starting to lean more and more on us to manage every situation.
