- This is a way to grow Bulbophyllums and other orchids that have long rhizomes between their growths. It has the added bonus of adding humidity to the immediate area around the plant. What could be better?!?! This does require a bit of work and some tools to complete but I think the results will be well worth it. Hope you enjoy.

I have now tried this on 3 different plants is plants and I like it . I'm having more hardware cloth purchased some so I can add the climbing or is liming orchids that I have that no matter what you do they are going to climb up. I did do one thing different than yours I put fishing line across the top and the bottom to keep my mouth in place. Otherwise it was going to fall out. But I do like this method. I remember watching Oliver do ooh kind of the same thing but using is using gutter plastic grids grids to make an attachment to platis chimney too plates that worked for him in his situation. Other than the pokeys from the hardware wire this is a good way to grow some orchids. Thank you
I don't have any Bulbos anymore, but I would watch any video YOU would put up, I always gain so much information from you and I really appreciate it!

Good video, I have several Bulbos to re- mount plus a few other ramblers. Some of the tiny one's I was going to mount on cholla. Thanks for the lesson. 👍😊

Hello good Morning. A great and versatile suggestion. I make similar supports to mount several orchids (cattleyas, Oncidium, dendrobiuns, etc.). I find it very practical.

OK, but what are you doing if the Spag. is going older and down, and the plant has grown into the net ?

First, you have to start with the best quality moss you can get. Using the wine corks helps to keep it from becoming soggy in the middle. Lastly, once the plant has become established and grown a bit more it will pull moisture out of the moss quickly enough to prevent breakdown. You do have to be careful about keeping it too wet especially in the beginning. Thanks for watching!!
Looks good Wade! You've inspired me to try (yet again) a square net bird feeding holder (from Lowe's) filled with sphagnum moss. The slots are a bit bigger, but it should keep the orchid fairly moist with aeration. I did not use the wine corks, but I hope it will do okay without having the internal sphagnum breaking-down too quickly. Hopefully, my vining Bulbo will do well on it. 🤞
We actually use something like this for our mounts, we use a semicircle and plastic net, but it's similar.
That is a good idea. I like to make mounts for my orchids too. My grape vine mount didn't work out though. I keep trying to find things that work though. Any suggestions on bulbos that have a nice flower and no smell?
Hi Wade. I am new to your channel. Just saw your video on the Oncidium Intergeneric Alliance. I have an Intergeneric Oncidium, Mtssa. Have watched several videos with no help. It has not flowered for me since I rescued it 3 years ago. I had it in bark and it seemed to suffer and the oldest backbulb got mushy so I pulled it off just in case of disease. I understand they like lots of water so I now have it in water culture. It seems to be Ok, but not too impressed with the growth. Can you offer any tips? Would it do better in spaghnum moss with LECA in the bottom. At this point I don't think I can hurt it any more. It had a dried bloom on it when I bought it so I know its old enough. Just can't get it to rebloom.

I’m very curious to see how this works out! Looks like a wonderfull idea. If there is a way to get it to autowater just right from a small reservoir it would be perfect for growers with chronic illness like me.
I am new to bulbophyllums, any you can reccomend for intermediate living room growing? 40-70% humidity
