Dendrochilums are easy to grow and many are the ideal height for growing at a windowsill or under lights. Here are a few of the species along with a bit of culture about them.
Dendrochilums are great Wade, but I'm still not sure if I was on-track with the care. I took over one for Chris, as he couldn't get it to bloom. I then kept it for 8 months, but no luck either. I then gave it to Anne and it bloomed just recently for her.
Hi wade, gosh I wish I lived near you , here in the UK we do struggle a bit in growing orchids and it's very difficult to get really well grown plants, I've been growing since 2005, and up until 2 years ago I would spend 3 months at Xmas in Australia and so when I got home there would always be a lot of dead orchids although heating and misting was always on. I would love to where you are. I spend hours watching your videos keep it up. And a very Xmas to you. Tony

Chinda Brendel I do have some Maxillaria tennuifolia. Usually I like to do videos of plants when they are in flower.
When did you do this video? Is this the time to bloom?
Kathy Macomber I did the video yesterday. They bloom from fall to winter. It was so nice to have a variety in bloom at the same time.
