S2:E15 - Fall Fishing for Brown Trout

Well I would apologize for some of the segments where I was looking at the brown. Earlier in the am I had knocked my gp off once again and evidently didn’t place it properly back on my head. Don’t worry, this is NOT a repeat of episode 2..honest!
I mentioned starting at hole 3 because of limited time and what a busy hole it was. Those waves were made by big browns as several times they came out fast from their hiding spot looking for food.
I was sooo lucky to have a 2nd chance at getting the brown on the line as usually, it’s 1 miss and done for the day.
I’m sure my brown today was the swimming partner of Alfred’s from episode 12. Both are beauties.
You hear me say several times, ‘keep it up’ and I’ve said that before in other episodes. These big guys want to go down to the bottom where they can get tangled up in logs and branches. When that happens, the fish invariably wins the battle. So it’s very important to have a gentle pressure on the fish and try to keep the pole in an upright position in order to keep the fish from diving. Be aware of the layout of the area in which you’re fishing so with that gentle pressure, you lead the fish where you want it to go. You’ll have a greater chance of success when you’re in control.

Good evening or maybe better, good morning to you. Good to see your name. And yes Austin, that was a good looking brown. They’re getting harder to catch so lucky there’s just a week or so left in the season. Alfred and I need a rest, at least I do. Hope you had a good summer of fishing. Evening Paul….Hudson’s team won the finals and Parker got to the semis. Season over for both now. Same can now be said about the Tigers. Sorry to see them lose today. Good memories from a couple weeks ago. Hope to get there again. Trust you’ll have a healthy winter.
It was a good last 10 days of fishing so there’s another big brown video in the works. A great year for sure.
