- Kendradipatya Dosha has been misunderstood by many who practice Astrology. Kendradipatya Dosha means a natural benefic planet like Jupiter or Venus for example when they rule the 1st house or the 4th, or the 7th or the 10th house becomes a malefic planet. This is the wrong version or the misunderstood version. In reality, when a benefic owns a Kendra house then such a benefic planet CEASES to be a benefic. It is no longer a benefic. These are based on the teaching of Maharshi Parasara in the book Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra. Please watch the video and let me know of your views.

1. As in case of Benefics do Malefics also cease to have their negative qualities in Kendras?
2. Besides being a Kendra 1st house is also a Kona (Trine). So won't there be a nullification of Dosha in Lagna?
Nice explanation. I would like to add something too. 1st house is also a trine house. For Sagittarius ascendants, Jupiter rules both Trine (1st house) & Kendra houses (1 & 4). Hence, it becomes neutral as you said. As per the general rule mentioned in vedic text, lords of trines (1,5 & 9th houses) will always do good to the natives unless the lords of these houses are heavily afflicted and debilitated. Even if they are ruled by malefics like Saturn, they will do only good to the natives and that's why Saturn is neutral to Gemini ascendants albeit it rules the 8th house.
Sir in dhanu lagan ascendant Lord jupiter is sitting in 6th house with venus(venus in own house). Is it bad combination regarding 6th

Mithunam
Kanni
Dhanush
Meena
Guru will give kendra dosha for mithuna and kanni lagna persons while bhudan will give kendra dosha for dhanush and meena lagna persons.
Kendra dosha will be cancelled if the functionally malefic is seated on 6,8 and 12 th place from lagnam only

Improvement in life along with stress as Jupiter is also the 7th house lord (STRESS LORD). Just because of EXALTATION you should expect good effects also. Jupiter in the 11th house is also good. Please check if JUPITER is also in the 11th house in the Bhava Chart.

According to BVR, a planet with KAD remains a benefic if it's posited in own rasi. He also says that a natural malefic, even it owns a kendra and a neutral house (Taurus lagna, Mars owns 12th and 7th) remains a malefic if it sits in Scorpio ( in the kendra )
Sir, Can we interpret the same for Midhuna lagna where Jupiter KAD is situated in 7th house (Dhanu, own Rashi) becomes beneficial. Request you to confirm my understanding.
Kendradhipati dosha is cancelled if the lord is placed in a trine..also the ascendant lord is not counted in this dosha and continues to be a benefic for the person.

Kendrathipathya dosha: an unafflicted natural benefic placed in own house will not do its assined significator job. This signification is valid throughout the life of the person. For eg. For gemini ascendant, an unafflicted pure Jupiter placed in saggitarius will ensure that the person will not have own kids. If a natural malefic and unpurified saturn or Mars aspects Jupiter then chances can improve. Even having malefic like saturn or rahu/north/south node or Mars placed not closer than 22 degrees can help Jupiter keep its signification.
For saggitarius Jupiter will give good results when exalted in eight in cancer or in any of its friends houses like leo without natural malefic conjunction or aspects. For Pisces ascendant, Jupiter will give better results when in sixth in leo unafflicted than in exaltation in fifth ( cancer)

Former late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalitha was born on mithuna lagna and simha 🦁 rashi and sukran is exalted in 10th house 🏡 meena rashi and that is why she was able to earn crores of money 💰 💰 name and fame.
Guru in her 7 th house 🏡 gave very bad strong kendra dosha starting from her birth itself and that is why she never enjoyed a family life and children 👶 even though she earned crores of money 💰 she was not blessed by good married life because of the kendra dosha by guru. At last she died at the age of 68 on her guru mahadasha and Saturn antardasha.

It is believed that parashara hora has 18 parts but now only 2 parts are available. no idea where rest of 16 parts have disappeared.

For Virgo Ascendant, Jupiter owns 4,7 hence he is no longer benefic. now if he is sitting in Ascendant without any malefic influence and Has score of 6 (Ashtakavarga) and also average in shadbala, what should be concluded?
Is the rishi talking about the kendradhipathi placed in the kendra bhava? Are we missing a point here?
Regarding Rishaba lagna:
The mercury is in lagna hence it is in lagna kendra. Therefore it loses its benefic nature and probably becomes neutral.
So this is kendradipatya dosha.
In addidtion the lagnadipathi which has already turned neutral comes in 6th house also as moolatrikona and hence it turns malefic.
One more question
This kendradipatiya dosha applies only to natural benefic grahas (guru, sukira, mars and moon)?

Strictly speaking 1st house is not a Trikona. How? Can you find out the issue of considering 1st house as a Trikona. My students in my zoom class know the answer. But think about it. Do not give up and ask for the answer.
Second it forms bec. Jupiter and Mercury own double Kendra house.

And biggest secret is this Dosha get cancelled when Jupiter mercury aspect each other or exchange sign or one of them sit in others sign.

Mars loses malefic nature due to 10th lordship but re-acquires it by 3rd house lordship.?

Sir, does Parashara state that for Mituna lagna, mercury is a neutral but for Kanya lagna, mercury is a benefic? If true, is it due to ownership of MoolTriKona in the latter case? If so, Guru should be a benefic for Dhanur but may be Guru has more KAD than Budhan and hence remains a neutral.
Sir don't you think so the first house which is the lagna which is the first Kendra house and also a part of the mool trikona should be excluded or exempted from the 4th, 7th and 10th house.. As lagna house is the most auspicious house no matter if it is having a planet in that house or if the house is empty..??? Only when it comes to kendtadityapati dosh...??

I have dhanu lagna. Shukra is in vrishabha ( 6th house) conjunct with Saturn - both in Rohini nakshatra. Now having Budha dasha. Budha is lord of 7th and 10th houses.
Budha is in ( Bharani) mesha with Sun ( in Ashwini).

There is no need to question Maharshi Parasara as He has clearly stated that for KUMBHA LAGNA Saturn is a benefic which is why AMITABH BACCHAN is wearing a BLUE SAPPHIRE. There is no need to look further. Reason is SATURN's MOOLATRIKONA is in the 1st house. So 12th house effect is not that much. When in DOUBT listen to MAHARSHI PARASARA than listening to any MODERN DAY ASTROLOGER including me. Don't listen to me but listen to MAHARSHI PARASARA. This answer is for all people on this channel.

I am not sure if we should consider the first house here. I strongly feel (and have also seen) that jupiter is a strong benefic for pisces and sagittarius and mercury for Virgo and gemini. the reason being I have seen in charts these planets giving great results. Example - Jupiter in 9th house (aspected by mars and venus) for pisces ascendant person gave extremely good result to person in his ad (Even when transit was not really good). Also because 1st house is a part of trine as well.
Hence i think kendradhipati dosha planet for Sagittarius is only mercury. Mercury becoems a neutrl planet. Please correct me if I am wrong
I feel the term KENDRADIPATYA is redundant. This is my opinion. For each of the 12 lagnas, I have done separate videos for Mesha, Vrishabha and up to the last one Meena Lagna. I have used BPHS Volume as reference. I feel Maharshi Parasara's words are final. At least according to me. In modern times they have been questioned by various authors. If there are many rules and many ways how can we make Astrology a systematic science? The videos are titled .... GOOD AND BAD PLANETS for MESHA LAGNA etc etc.

Like I said there is no kendradipatya dosha. The good and bad planets for each lagna is different. A good planet owning a kendra CEASES to be a good planet. That's all.

anil Kmr In the video I almost said that KENDRADIPATYA does not cause dosha. Yet your question is that it causes Kendradipatya Dosha. In the question you have mixed up placements and lordships. They are entirely different. For example lord of 11th house is bad but planets placed in 11th house is good. Same way Jupiter in 1st, 5 and 9 is good. The Karakobhavanashaya are simpler rules. The art in Astrology is to know which one is the bigger rule. As beginner I too went through these confusion. After years of study it will get sorted out. Watch the video again, I almost make fun of people who quote Kendradipatya Dosha.

It is not to do with placing of jupiter but it is the lordship of the kendra.

You are right benefic planets when they are Lords of kendra give bad results during their Dasha's 100 percent malefic planets when they are kendradhipatis give good results during their Dasha's but when a benefic is lord of 1st house he is both kendradhipatis and triconadhipathi then in his dasha kendradhipatis dosha stands nullified and if in such case he is in 5th or 9th rajayoga shall accrue and his dasha bhukhi is beneficial for saggitarie ascendant both sun and moin are considered yog karak planets and their Dasha's are beneficial and Jupiter dasha is neutral because he is lord of kendra and trikon as he is ssc lord of dhanush or saggitariou but kendradhipatis dosha is nullified in a woman's horoscope when a benefic is in her ascendant or in 7th from her ascendant the dosha doesn't apply also kendradhipatis dosha is nullified when kendradhipatis is in own house exalted in a trikon or kendra and aspected by triconadhipathi rajayoga conjunction with trikoniadhipathi or parivartan raj yoga all these have to be events during Dasha's if planets in question and antar Dasha's

Ashtakavarga pairs up with Transit of Planets and yet there are special rules on what you could do with the Ashtakavarga. Vimsopaka is something like MOOD of the planets. Shadbala is the physical strength. There are too many rules. Whereas you are actually mixing it all together.

Really nice explanations Sir ... thank u ... just a small doubt - Does Mars become a benefic for Scorpio lagna , in case it is debilitated in 9th house of Cancer conjunct with Moon and Venus in the same ninth house .
@Dheedhify: You have to see 3 things here.
1. Debilitated Mars with Moon means, Moon is in its own sign Cancer, which makes powerful Neecha Banga to Mars. Hence ascendant lord attains Neecha Banga.
2. 9th lord Moon in 9th house. Lagna lord is with 9th lord in 9th house which is very good.
3. Venus a natural benefic being 7th lord, cause of kedrathipathi dosha is cancelled as the planet is in 9th house (kona) along with 9th lord and lagna lord.
This forms a powerful Raja yoga for Mars.

This is with reference to your MOON. Not your Ascendant. The book I refer uses Moon as the point of reference.
