- When you read Astrological books published in India you will across this term affliction in many places in the book. Beginners in Astrology keep asking me what is the meaning of affliction. When do we say a house is afflicted? Are there many types of affliction. There is the weakly afflicted houses to moderately afflicted houses in the horoscope. How to find out the most afflicted house in your horoscope? In this short video I have explained how to find out which house is the most afflicted house in any horoscope.

I have libra ascendant. Saturn is the ruler of 5th house. In my natal chart Saturn is in the 3rd house in Sagittarius opposite to the Moon who is in the 9th house in Gemini. According bhava chalit Sun, Rahu, Mercury and Venus are placed in the 5th house. So, Saturn aspects in trine all those grahas placed in the 5th house who is his own house. Rahu is in the 5th house in Aquarius, Satabhisha Nakshatra and it receives an aspect of Shani. Should I consider the 5th house an afflicted house?
Sir, Virgo, Scorpio, Aquarius houses are considered as good places for Kethu. If those places become 5th or 2nd house, will kethu affect those houses.

Please look who is the Lord of your 5th house. If it is a natural benefic, Vishnu Shashranam & if it is a natural malific, Rudrabhishekam for Lord Shiva will do. Because Lord Vishnu & Lord Shiva are the supreme boss of benefic and malefic respectively.

Do NAG PRATISHTA in a temple - installation of a snake idol. This is the more FUNDAMENTAL remedy for the PUTRADOSH. KETU hurts more as KETU occupies the house of SUN. So if KETU and SUN have any relationship the dosha is more. HOROSCOPE Matching is to be done STRICTLY and not for the sake of it. Deep research is required. Dear Dhilip Sir, Is this to be seen form the NBC chart. If yes, does exaltation or house exchange have any effects. In one case for Gemini Asc, Saturn occupies 5th house (Exalted), Lord of 5th house. Ketu is in Scorpio (6th as per Rashi, 5th as per NBC) Venus goes in Capricorn (8th in Rashi, 7th in NBC) and distance between Sat and Ket is 4 deg. Asc deg is ~16. Jupiter is n 7th house and Mars is in 8th (both as per Rashi and NBC)

2 Now running Rahu dasa as 6th Maha dasa and Venus bhukthi. Venus and Sun are in 4th from lagna and in 11th from Rahu.

What if Jupiter is between Saturn and Ketu? Saturn libra, Jupiter Scorpio, and Ketu Sagittarius 7th house..? Do they lessen the good effects of Jupiter? If they are in different houses, does that lessen Negative effect?
