I remember buying this 45 for ‘When All is Said and Done’ when it came out in America 1982, and liking the B-side Should I Laugh or Cry so much better. Have played it lot over the 40 years since, how can it be that long ago now?
I heard this song way back in the 80's on a B side record, I didn't understand much of the words as I was only a young 13 year old,but always loved this song... Now a mature 55 year old woman, experience of life, relationships,a marriage ending in divorce because of narcissistic behaviour I get this song completely. To say I'm now in a much happier place like yourself, no-one should ever EVER put up with this disgusting behaviour,it's lovely...not real love as it should be...only control from a person who has there own insecurities that take it out on the vulnerable, nieve, kind hearted ones. I loved listening and watching you, how you react to this song, its very deep but powerful. I love your cat 🐈😻you can see how much she/he loves you🤗 and I have to add this...I saw an orb floating upwards on your video, where your cat was looking up too, I hope you didn't mind me mentioning this,it's a beautiful sign from spirit, watching over you.💜🤗 Thankyou for playing this great Abba song, it's never had any radio play, yet it's such a brilliant track, that I hope it helps people out there understand this is not normal behaviour that think they're in a loving relationship cuz it's not. Liked and subscribed you, you are a lovely guy, love the acsent too!🤗xx
My ex was exactly the guy in this song. Whenever I imagine I miss him I just listen to Should I Laugh or Cry and it takes me right back to those days with that Grade A w@nker. Frida absolutely nails the sentiment. Thanks MR for appreciating it.
Thanks for your open and honest reaction despite the negative undertones. This was released as a B-side on a 7 inch vinyl single, so it would have been getting played by people back then. That's the thing about ABBA songs, they capture many real situations from life, happy & sad. We mustn't forget that Frida and the members of ABBA themselves were actually going through some stuff when these songs were being written and released, hence the realisticness. 🥰😘
The 'One of Us' single wasn't released in the place i was living at the time so i ignored its b side existence until i bought a compilation that was included in it(ABBA"Love songs') by the very late '80s.Should have been the closer of side A in the vynil VISITORS album release. That melody in the chorus flies me high in the sky.Such a beautiful sound .
If you don't know it already I'd like to recommend you listen to another great singer with a similar themed song: Elkie Brooks' "No more the fool" (1987)👍
It probably didn't make the Visitors because of Bjorn's ego who for a long time always had his own album track on each Album. He only got a speaking part of The Album and nothing on Super trouper. Dumb decision as Two For The Price Of One was ill fitting for the album.
Actually there was a song with Bjorn on lead vocals that was recorded during the sessions for the 'Super Trouper' album the song is called 'Burning My Bridges' it sadly never made it on to the album.

This should have been included on The Visitors original release. Great song and Frida as fantastic as always.
Their unison in the chorus is marvelous.Velvet and Feathery.
I agree, it's a powerful song full of strength and anger: I'm fed up - shape up! Frida's vocals are FIRE!
I’m glad you feel the same way sending love x
I love the sinthz on this. And Frida❤, of course 😍.
Take care, Mr
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱👍
Frida perfect singer forever. I Love ❤ this song.
Once u listen to I Let The Music Speak, then you’ll say that’s her best
Great review !!! Many Hugs !!!
A very underestimated song, but always been a favourite of mine
Was released as the B-side to one of us, was only added onto the Visitors when the album was re-issued.
Masterpiece !! 💯💯💯💯💯👌
Frida was really good at infusing a sense of withering sarcasm and scorn in to this song. It's very emotive!
Yes! Rambling on the way he does and me and I get so tireeeeeeed oooooh
@@MisterRichards-f8u Pure disdain! I love it
....he's such a *clever guy... LOVE the sarcasm!

You would be in your element if you could get down to London to see Voyage

Coming!
Yes, I like Elkie. I remember Lilac Wine too. A great number. 🥰

The one song I wish they had tossed in favor of anything else. Two for the Price of One bad then - horrible now.
@@laurieschulte3025 'Two For The Price Of One' is a really good song actually its not bad.

Bjorn's ego?? Where did you get that from? 😅
