Pearl jam and Cinderella and depending who you ask Hey ya are examples of stands manifesting of external conditions (Like mastery of a craft or dumb luck) and not representing a fighting spirit. But that example is really rare. I do believe there are more in part 8 that I haven't gotten to yet. TL;DR you are right but it's a really rare example for stands not to be associated with fighting spirit
