  • I did a full review of the Brewers Edge Mash and Boil on my blog, Click Here to see it: makebeereasy.com/brewers-edge...
    Brewed up my Blonde ale that I call me Ol'Durty Blonde ale on my brewers edge mash and boil.
    It is a bit of a longer brew day video because I go into detail on the process I use with the brewers edge mash and boil.
    The blond ale I am brewing I have brewed this home brew a few times, this time I upped the color in it using Crystal 40L, so it is more of a golden ale.
    Enjoy the brewers edge mash and boil brew day!
    And be sure to check out my blog www.MakeBeerEasy.com for more home brewing tips and beer fun!
    Cheers!
    Big Robb is out!

    Thanks for the videos, I am on my third brew with the unit. Had some issues with grain overflowing the basket with a large grain bill, when I use a pump trying to get the flow through the bed. Bought a grain bag keeps it a bit cleaner as well am able to squeeze the grain bag at the end to increase the efficiency. I am quite pleased with the unit.

    I bought a brew in a bag brand for my brewers edge. Really clear and bright wort!!! I didn't here u say anything about ph??? Dark grains you added should bring it down a little

      Right on man, love the brew bag. re pH, that video was awhile ago, have not watched it recently, for many years I paid no attention to water chemistry, focused more on it when i started my brew pub. Here is a article on my blog on water chemistry: makebeereasy.com/the-best-water-for-brewing-beer-discover-what-it-is/ Long story short for pH I do the following: "If your pH is too high you add lactic acid to bring it down. If your pH is too low you can add baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) or calcium carbonate to bring it up." Thanks for the comment! Cheers!

    i have e4 error in boil any time, i dont know how resolve this problem :)

    • @MakeBeerEasy
      @MakeBeerEasy  4 роки тому

      Hi Ivan, I had that before. There are 1 of two things going on. Either something in your kettle is obstructing the sensor or the sensor has gone bag. I contacted williams brewing and they send me a new sensor. Here is some info from Williams Brewing. "Boil is throwing an E4 error code near the end of the boil, and you do not have a large hop bag or other boil circulation obstruction inside the boiler when this happens, you probably have a failing Thermal Cutout Switch." www.williamsbrewing.com/pdfs/B92.pdf

    Couple questions, have you decided to insulate it yet? Also for anyone, has anyone added a diptube to minimize loss when racking to the fermenter?

    • @calaeb08
      @calaeb08 6 років тому

      Make Beer Easy sorry for any confusion, have insulated the kettle. As in wrapped the outside of the mash and boil in say, reflectix insulation to help speed up heating. And about the dip tube I'm wondering if one can be added to inside the kettle to make sure you're able to get almost all the beer from the bottom of the kettle. I currently have one in my regular kettle now.

    Did that girl eat shit in the front yard at the beginning of this video? She was either doing slip and slide or she’s been tasting too much of his Brew and just bit it on the front sidewalk but I don’t know?…

    Using the no chill method, did you have to push your hop additions back, or did you add them like normal?

    • @MakeBeerEasy
      @MakeBeerEasy  4 роки тому

      Good Question man, I never change the hop additions. Lots of people tell you to, I just never notice much of a difference if any. Give it a try and see what you think. Cheers
