    Every year, these tasty local beauties show up in my local grocery store. In moderation, they are compatible with my proper human diet. They are fresh, local and heirloom. I can never decide whether I prefer the golden Scuplins or the dark Muscadines, so I have to keep sampling them. God bless you Maggie Winston!

      I just found a muscadine Vine at the park. I had to Google make sure it was muscadine for real. Then I ate a couple. Then I was like oh my God what did I just do I'm not even sure if he's a muscadines. So I started googling again looking at the leaves, okay these are definitely muscadines. Which led me to Google the benefits of muscadines which led me to this video here.

    Your video is very informational. I didn't know anything about Muscadines while growing ip in New York. I discovered their deliciousness after moving to Georgia in 1986.
    I didnt imagine that they have so many benefits. Now that I do, not only will I be buying them for enjoyment I will take advantage of the season and freezing them to get through the off season. They make a delicious frozen treat!

    Do you call them scuppernongs?

    • @MaggieWinston
      @MaggieWinston  6 років тому +1

      I personally don't.
      The scuppernong is a large variety of muscadine. All scuppernongs are muscadines, but not all muscadines are scuppernongs. Their primary difference lies in their relationship to each other; one is a cultivar of the other.

    Do you have to eat the seed to get the benefits

      Steve Millwood not for all

    • @stevemillwood5317
      @stevemillwood5317 6 років тому

      So is the seed the most important part and what benefits does the seed have

    • @MaggieWinston

      Steve Millwood not really the skin and the seed has 95% of the benefits so if you just eat the grape you will get the benefits

    Astaxanathin is still way better but using both probably have different benefits. Both do positive different things. But Astaxanthin is what makes bears run forever at 25 mph cause they eat wild salmon that have you guessed it Astaxanthin.
