Timothee is like someone straight out from a Renaissance painting... so. beautiful.
Agreed!
FionaW I think Timmy looks like the man from Michelangelo’s David and Caravaggio’s Amor Victorious.
FionaW His jawline is on point.
i agree, aside from his insane acting abilities, i feel like they chose him because he looks like a young statue that michelangelo would have created
He's a cute guy (great hair!)... but Armie Hammer is pretty easy on the eyes too!
the denim coordination is on point
Daenerys Targaryen and i LOVE how even though luca wasn't wearing denim, he was in a shade of blue. they're so cute
England is not a city lol Breeder stupid.
they call that "The Canadian Tuxedo". And it's a fashion faux pas to wear full top to bottom denim
They look like boyfriends who dressed each other in the morning before going out. It's hella cute.
@@miranx5735 well, Armie looks great...
Timmy's cheekbones could cut the negativity out of my life and lemme tell you that's hard to cut
What a perfectly put statement
Boehoe
A phan. So rare these days.
Aww.... I hear ya! Same here...! Especially these days! Hugs 🤗 and thank you sooo much TIMOTHÉE for making our life so much better & lovely ! 💕
he’s so pretty 🥺
"Let's both wear denim and not tell Luca."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Luca left out😂of denim dress for the day interview
At least he was wearing the right colour ☺️
Really loved it when Luca said, "Where there is intelligence and passion and generosity, there is chemistry." Really beautiful to see the relationship between these actors and their director. ❤️
i could hear luca talk for days
Exactly!
Something must be wrong with your audio
Not throwing any shade but Gosh! "Call Me By Your Name" has set the bar for movies about love (more specifically about homosexuality) so high that I'm afraid other movies that come after might not be as "deep" as this one! I have been thinking about it constantly! It's not some sort of "turn on" or "horny" feeling! It's just Pure Love! no conflicts, no tension, just Love! and the actors definitely did an incredible job! Love it! P/S: I'm no American nor British so please do excuse me guys if I write bad or sound bad! I tried! Grazie di cuore! xo.
The closest that I've seen (so far) come close to this kind of chemistry between two actors, are the characters of Lucas and Elliot, in season 3 of Skam France. It's not a film but definitely out there as some of the best performances of genuine love between two people. It doesn't quite reach the deepness of these two but it definitely gets close. That said, it's somewhat cinematic, but definitely can't beat the cinematography of Call Me By Your Name which was astoundingly beautiful. Every frame could be hung on a wall as a photograph.
I love reading your post. It truly captures the essence of the movie. Love. Pure and simple. I took everyone I know to see this once I had saw it myself. This movie is about a relationship (physical, mental, otherwise) that I simply don't know who cannot relate to what transpires here.
Your comment is beautiful....😍 Don't worry because of language barrier uh said well... Actually this movie is far from horny feelings it just a name of true love ....after watched this movie i felt the feelings of love...❤️❤️ It makes me emotional emotional and emotional..... Love uh Elio and Oliver ....❤️😘
100% agree.
They are Bi...
I figured out why I love Armie Hammer's voice: I used to love to lean my head against my mom or dad's chest when they were talking because the sound was so all-encompassing with the vibration of their voices in their body. Armie's voice is that deep and vibrating all the time and so it's very comforting and immersive. *Sigh!*
Omg you put it into words
HOLY SH*T AFTER SO LONG I'VE GOT ANSWERS TO MY OWN QUESTION AAA HEHE
yhis is the perfect comment
That is it!
this is the perfect representation/description of Armies voice!!
Luca sounds like a dream to work for. His work is beautiful.
they are so eloquent and lovely
Luca seems like such a nice, genuine person
crtx Doesn't live or work in L.A.
crtx true! Seems to be that profound and cool Uncle.
How not to love a director that is so passionate about cinema? Congrats to Luca Guadagnino and thanks for the movie adaptation (which I still haven't seen - hahaha!). I LOVE the book.
Moamg it’s worth the watch :)
You must see the movie. It's so absolutely beautiful, and I've been obsessing about it since I've watched it.
Don't know how Timothee for real did not fall in love with Armie...THOSE FRIGGIN EYES OF HIS, so dame dreamy!!
Maria Elena he did
Maria Elena- I could make the same comment in reverse. Timothée has beautiful eyes and is beautiful all around. How did Armie not fall in love with HIM?
Change1 yeah, I wished it was a series that would last at least 5 years so I could just see them together, like making out all the time lol
I wouldn't read anything too "sexual" into the relationship between the two actors. I believe that any two actors who spend weeks rehearsing a play (or shooting a film) that requires an unusually deep connection physically and emotionally in order to make the performance effective tend to either (a) hate each other at the end, or (b) develop a fairly deep level of respect and intimacy. Looks like they went with (b).
Jean Kennedy they do have a lot of chemistry and they are really close friends. ☺️
It’s funny that it’s 2019 and I still find/get recommended Call me by your name interviews. I must have watched hundreds in these past two year lmao
I want the 4-hour first cut in a box set a year from now
Four hours and fifteen minutes!!! I want those extra 15 minutes!!!
It’s been a year and we still don’t have it
@@lanasavic7775 it's been 2 years and we still don't have it. :((((
@@anilla02 it’s been 3 years and we still don’t have it
Annemarie Eijlders we will never get it now
Armie Hammer is just so handsome its ridiculous.
Also like eating peoples ribs...
And Timothee so beautiful. They were perfect for this movie, such male beauty symmetry.
Bettyboop: remark stupid and absurd
Armie is just handsome, but Timothee's handsomeness is unique .
Too bad he has cannibalistic tendencies.
I love how Timmy *really* listens to Luca when he talks about the Bertolucci inspiration
YES
i was thinking the same! you could see his thoughts bouncing around in his gaze
I can just listen to them talk about this breathtaking film all day long. Just imagine being able to be alone with Armie 24/7 before the shooting of the film even began.
der22672 that sounds just perfect.
;
@Jean Kennedy um armie was lucky... timmy is labelled the internets boyfriend
Luca made the perfect call with Armie and Timotheé! Their chemistry is amazing and both of them are beautiful but in different ways, I love it.
I cannot wait for more one hour interviews with Luca
This movie will open roles that will lead to Oscar winning performances for these two main actors
I thought THIS film was already aiming at Oscar?
No, they need one more movie
Only Timothee was nominated. He did not win [the Oscar® was awarded to Gary Oldman].
In my personal opinion Oscars goes for good performances but also sopported for previous good jobs too...
well Dune is coming soon,,,
Woah. That is a lot of denim.
hahahaaahahaaa !!
They imitate Victoria and Beckham??
Blue denim, no less.
I thought the same thing loll
luca's lovely to interview. he's so inspiring.
They are ridiculpusly handsome, would make the hottest couple ever
As a young gay guy this film was so deep in the facts of coming of age, but the way they used colors and the sensual nature of summer (warmth, less clothes- to the point that the physical beauty of the two actors was accentuates) was perfect.
It wasn’t used gregariously to simply touch desire, rather to immerse the viewer in the feelings of Oliver and Elio.
can't get enough of the interviews. i love how they detail everything about the movie. Amazing! I hope you guys win the Oscar.
please release the 4 hour and 15 minutes version i'd do anything to pay for that
Ah, yes. Perhaps it's time for a remake of "Interview With the Vampire."
While I'm sure Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman will both be incredible in their respective films - "Phantom Thread" and "Darkest Hour" - Timothée Chalamet HAS to win Best Actor for the last twenty minutes. I can't remember the last time a performance was as emotionally devastating and nuanced as his.
Timothee was amazing but I preferred Daniel Day Lewis Performance still...
Has Timothee been nominated ?
He got nominated for Golden Globe and won quite few other awards already and I am pretty sure he will get nominated for an Oscar as well.
NoxiouS when is the golden globes. I'm gonna watch it because of him
January 8th which is Monday.
timothee could be a victorian era vampire
Oliver's face was most iconic scene in the movie..what a performance!
do you know what expression is Luca talking about?
M Eugenia after they had sex, that elio seems distant and cold
both them timmy and armie.. i love how innocent elio in the movie..
@@timmy9cmbyn739 he wasn't that innocent... he was a little "dirty Diana"
When Armie say that camp thing and ‘I’ll see you around” , I suddenly have the feel that they are like one couple who have to break up but somehow are very reluctant to be apart...like lovers have to part but still love each other, something like that
Interesting how he references Bertolucci. The ads definitely remind me of The Dreamers.
Here we are... October 2018 and I'm still watching this.
Silver swimsuit Can you imagine, me, April 2019 watching this? LOL
October 2019 (and I watched this interview a couple of times before)
November 2020 😪
lucas sounds like a lovely director and it really shows in the film
the book was beautiful...i hope the movie is too.
Harshita Mishra I know right! It was a masterpiece.
Probably the best book I have ever read, cried at that last sentence and turned straight back to the beginning
I don't like the end though 😢
same but it couldve been sadder like most gay stories
the movie is exquisitely beautiful. I've seen it five times now
Timothee and Armie are so sweet. I wish I could hug them both passionately!
0:21 they litterally look like two sculptures , how are they even real
miss 305dale That’s a bit extra ma’am, there just white guys
Hanan Mohamed just white guys? What white guys can't look beautiful? They do look ridiculously handsome cannot deny the fact
“I am particularly not interested in tension!” What a profound statement. Working in such an environment must be so much joy.
" when something is not right just say it's not right! Don't hold it "
I just love luca
My love for this movie, this book, Andre Aciman, Luca Guadagnino, Timothee and Armie knows no bounds
Both guys got the denim memo 😉
Grande Luca Guadagnino! Persona di straordinario gusto e intelligenza
Usually when you have chemistry on screen and off that can parlay into actual real-life friendships. They seemed to have accomplished that here.
Every great director has his own idiosyncrasies, history and specific yet unique style~ I don't know why but Luca has such a complex thinking yet he explains it clearly. Amazing.
Very excited for this movie. Hope it's successful despite the drama I know is already brewing around it.
Huh? I'm quite clueless about that. What drama are you referring to?
21minute the age difference between the characters (17 and 24) even though the younger is of age to consent people still freak out
Erin Bockenstedt Why are you perpetuating b.s?
Erin Bockenstedt Don't Tell them about Celine Dion.
You should add to the list Dirty dancing. She was seventeen, but nobody pointed out.
DIRECTOR LUCA GUADAGNINO has just managed to cook an amazing recipe, in which the main ingredient is LOVE and people just can't get enough of it, especially me, every time I step out of the house and all I think is the taste of that love, hmmm I close my eyes and bite my lips
Armies amazing desirable eyes and Timmy's unapologetic relentless desire to the character of OLIVER... GENTLEMAN WELL DONE
Interestingly enough, by all accounts Luca is one of the greatest chef's in Italy. It's a wonder Timmy didn't gain 20 pounds during the shoot.
Timmy makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside ❤️❤️❤️
I love how they match or dress similar too each other ❤❤
Luca T^T please make a part 2 "the sequel"
Love Luca's accent.
Luca is a great director!love the humanity he understands so well
I love everything about the movie and the novel as well.
Luca is great. very interesting back stories.
I would love to see director's cut version of the film!!
I crave such an experience. Being with people that have the exact same vision and way of thinking in an isolated "world", that becomes your world for some time. This is a memory that lasts for a lifetime.
Timothie reminds me of a young Elizabeth Taylor.
vic b He really is quite beautiful.
Nooooo way and no chance.....Liz was one of a kind with unusual eye colour and black hair.... Timothy looks more like Tom Hiddleston or Natalia Dyer but not Liz Taylor
Timothy has got beautiful finely cut features absolutely perfect
Armie Hammer’s eyes and voice.. he is pure perfection!
Not.. pure.. perfection I’d say
guadagnino's eyes are so profound. deep soul for sure.
Beautiful. I love when actors are fearless and courageous.
Does anyone know which scene from The Sheltering Sky Luca is referring to? I'd like to see it.
Armie said "later", I died.
I feel like a great director is able to hold control over the emotions of an actor. It's a major part of the job
It is sooo cute that they wore matching outfits 😍❤️😍
"Call me by your name" fantastic new movie. love is love is love!
why is armie so tanned all the time
Giulia Bressani I ask myself this literally everyday 😩😂😂
Giulia Bressani Tall. Closer to the sun.
oh. i thought he was blushing
He’s 6’5. He’s like a tree bending towards the sun
Because is the sunshine.
They are so beautiful
They were committed artists and make us proud seeing that passion and talent combined perfectly, well done 🙏 guys!
I love that interview
Love Timmy and Armie🐱🐱❤❤
Greatest movie of 2017 -- holy moly...
0:49 when Timothée turns at Armie smiling because of what Kucas expresses, precious
This beautiful movie will be the "La La Land" of 2017 ........ can't wait for the release ***
better than la la land imo
Vanesa same and I loved la la land. It doesn't even come close to how amazing this film is
Yuck la la land. I don't even consider it a proper musical
I havnt seen the movie yet, but fallen in love with it already,! Deeply crazy about Elio and Oliver. Thanks to Oscar nomination that brought me to this point!
Thank you Debra Winger for inspire Luca and Armie 😆😆😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love and admire Luca very much!❤
Love Luca’s beautiful voice.
Estaría todo el día escuchando la poesía de Luca Guadagnino...
Timmy is so beautiful.....
Why is the age gap in this movie being looked at so closely yet it wasn't for Carol??
Lol facts
bcs when the age gape is between man and woman, then it's sexy and "interesting". but when it's between 2 men it's weird and disgusting. but note: big age gaps are not really fine, but what these two had was magical.
@@aemit_s_ Carol is a moving about 2 women falling in love.
@@chloe-bq5zw oh sorry. i didn't know that. i mistook the name of the movie for a different one. but from the people i see wlw relationships are more "normal" than the mlm ones. gay films are getting much more hate than the lesbian ones. if somebody loves someone and the relationship is healthy, i don't care about the age difference or sexuality. :)
Timi I thought age gap is more of a non-issue when 2 men are involved? Never heard of anyone disgusted by a big age gap between two men in a relationship unless one is a minor. And what made you say that big age gaps are not fine? There are a lot of successful relationships where in the couples have big age gap.
Hey, I liked the movie. I'd like to know where the house they used is found, because I live 10 minutes away from Crema where they went with their bikes. I know Bergamo, and Sirmione very well, but the road scenes near fields, and the house look so familiar but don't know where the house is. Can anyone tell me how I can get this information. Thanks.
If there is another movie I hope they have armie with the beard and Timothée with long hair. They look fucking great
alternative title for this interview: "Call me by your name, more like dress me in your denim"
Love how both Armie and Timmy are wearing double denim. 🤗
I hope ther's a sequel too I've been hearing
anyone know what scene in the sheltering sky luca was talking about??
Love him so much!
I want that 4 hours and 15 minutes version
I swear to god Armie and Timotheé called each other before interviews and said, "Hey, let's wear our jean jackets to the interview". Almost every interview they're wearing jean jackets.
1:38 timmy cute face and sensitive eyes OMG I CAN'T 😭
I could listen to Luca talk for hours
THIS MOVIE IS GONNA COLLECT A LOT OF HARDWARE AT THE OSCARS
It didn't; but that does not diminish from its greatness.
timothee and armie's hairstyles are amazing, it would take a miracle for my hair to look like that. at its best I look like I almost drowned in a river 😂
they are both such beautiful people oh my
Armie is a really handsome guy.
Ken doll-esque.
What a nice piece. This movie is easily one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Both Luca and Armie deserved Oscar nods, too (although everyone who WAS nominated was certainly deserving so not sure how I could say “Replace so and so” - just too much fantastic work out there! Which is a good thing). Chalamet is a thing of beauty; this won’t be his last nomination either.
Elaine Snow Agree. I just can't get over it.
laguvids exquisite just exquisite
laguvids amazing yes
I definitely see the reference to The Sheltering Sky in this wondrous film!
what scene is that???
Gotta watch CMBYN again tonight!!!
timmy is just so mesmerizing, hes just so perfectly beautiful
cmbyn is perfect. perfect setting. perfect script. perfect cinematography. perfect actors. PERFECT.
this IS the only movie for a first love….it has sooo much and is acted so naturally!! I loved it
Have you seen 'Maurice' also by Merchant Ivory?
Timothee chalamet will win that Academy Award for Call Me by Your Name. Everyone should have a collective thought .it is powerful.
