The last video of his I watched was his 64 pill build & it's just like you said, he cuts his own heatsinks, wraps his own combiners, builds his input output transformers, bends his own boxes etc. Ground up, everything from scratch. But by far the highlight of the build was when he finished soldering in the pills. He steps back so you can see the whole board & the rows & rows of Toshibas. Then says " hooooowee ! Look at it, looks like a damn parkin' lot! " 😂 Definitely a knee slapping moment
I can't begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed listening to this series of videos that you produced. The stories and conversation have been awesome. Thank you so much for posting them.
I started talking on CB back in 1972-1977 on my daddy's base station, truck and motorcycle . I watched these interviews and videos enjoying it so much. As a 60yo man, now I want to get back into the hobby but nervous. We were in Englewood NJ back then but now in Pennsylvania in the mountains. Thank you so much for the knowledge and entertainment and hopefully I'll be back on the air. There is so much information overload on equipment . Peace and 73's.
I'm "#077 - MC Goo" out of Chicago, by way of Harvey, and Oswego Illinois. Grate interview. I'm glad to say that I was on deck with in the first 3 or 4 years from the beginning of Tech-Nines Antenna, Radio Repair, and Box Building Career. I was in the Shop with Him during many Builds and repairs. I must say I've learned a lot from him directly. We have so many magical CB moments that's archived in our CB history together. I have copies of his earlier videos and watergates from when he first started making them. ((I still want them cassettes Tech)) I go back from time to time to view his work. Truly amazing. I wish I could've met BBI while he was here but some of us have a job to go to everyday so he was left to be trailed from Harvey Illinois to Michigan by 2Watt. I and that was a wild groupie experience...lol. I watched his photo bombing video from the Break. Also a very special thanks to Prime Minister for charging to diss people I appreciate you Prime. Over all a great interview.
BBI from 158 nj this was a great 👍 video I was in the time back when Rico " 1001 " muddywater was my technician and many more friends I can go on for days thanks BBI AMPS 158 New Jersey 73'😊
awesome interview, glad to see him in good health, miss his videos, good health to you both and thanks BBI for taking your time to record and post this video, greetings from Ireland..
Are you okay bbi? Tech nine good to see you mister. Rainmaker here Hudson Valley NY 😀 waving been a while you're here because God is great. You're are looking great my brother just remember that God is great.
He is a great man. I knew him when he went by Designated Driver. I still have the DD-200 he built for me in 2004. Ive been in that basement many times . Put it on ya later !!! Outlaw 378 and I'm back quiet .
Another great interview. Tech 9 Know his stuff. WHY CHANGE THE WHEEL IF IT STILL WORK. Good to put a face with the voice I hear on the radio, Clarance Carter. I call him, Mr. Mess Talker. Enjoying your work.
I admire tech nine. I don't work on tube amps ever again. When I was a young kid I worked on a hornet amp. The guy never told me about the grounding issue. I reached around the back with the unit unplugged and it nailed me. So bad it burned both of my hands. I thought I was a dead man. I never touch anything tube related any longer. No cb.. no am fm.. no ham. None. Those things are nice when they work. But when they decide to fail ... yeah never again
keep up the good work BBi 👍❤️ I miss watching Tech N9ne used to watch his videos all the time long time ago. Really hope he put them back up 411 got down Sydney’s biggest mudduck 🇦🇺
BBI I would like to thank you for the videos you are doing Interview in Pennsylvania pimp motown and all of the great legend in the radio game. Maddog from the cornfield.
Thats crazy when i first got into cb 2017 i was truck driving and me and a couple friends went out to eat with 2watt hes a cool funny guy. gotta love this hobby .
I'm 74, my other CB buds, in this small Indiana town are my age and older, there was once a few hundred now there are just 4. Thank you, Luke, for bringing this hero of the hobby, Tech Nine His truck sounds like an F-35
I am only 64 and in my area not just 5-6 years ago there used to be ssb operators to 50-75 out there now I don't even hear one but know of 4 within 60 miles of me
@@georgegetterdone896 It's sad, but in 1964 after I worked a summer job, dad took me to Cincinnati to buy a CB, I bought a Lafayette Comstat 25-A 23 Channel, there were only 5 of us within 50 miles that had CB's, It's kind of like that now. I started talking skip with a 200-watt PEP-tuned 10-meter box. About 1 year ago we did get a new guy, he is 41 but it's rare to get him on because he has a wife/life. Radio is pretty low but I'll do my best to keep going, 2 of us fixed up 88-year-old "Rail Bender" in the local nursing home so he could keep talking, haven't heard him in a week. ✋73's🎙KD9OAM🎧📻📡148 from the Hoosier state
Hello Fellow Amphaulics, Friends, And Supporters Of The World Famous BBI: Thank you for taking us along on your trip around the country. You can say that this is a documentary on a legend. Thank you again Luke. God Bless & my best to the family. TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
What he said at 20:50 is 100% the same reason why I don’t mess with radio anymore. I love the technical aspect of it. But the people who just want to plug ears and shootout over skip gets annoying.
a real og right here.. I try the help the locals around here with small stuff, I guess once I build a 2 pill pill box repairs will come naturally . That shit is so funny about the smelling like weed hahahah
I’ll text you tomorrow if I get a chance I have a question I was looking on your website trying to order a couple shirts Hats and stickers to advertise your website ect couldn’t get anywhere maybe I mis read something keep up the awesome videos not many of us and you guys left .
And it's usually very beneficial to see with a W M that they're used to using and understand how to read it. To be able to see what their amp or the amplifier they're buying does you do understand that right?
They’re all relative output meters. It’s math, physics. Only CBers try to squeeze every last watt, by “volting” and overdriving their equipment. Keeps repair shops in business.
I miss Tech nines channel. I loved his videos.
i fell the same way
We sure do
Me too

They have to electrify the atmos a lot to make it rain,
Yeah the west coast is dead compared to the east coast in the CB
This is illegal.
🤡😂🏴☠️ what a joke!
Knowledge is illegal?
Idiots driving with their emergency flashers on make it hard to see and add to the danger of driving in minimum visibility.
What a dumb comment.Hazard prevent you from running in the back of another vehicle "Idiot"
Such a wise man I would love to be able to have a conversation with him
Bbi love videos bud
Ha he uses dosey meters too that's awesome
So what? He backs it up with a bird meters..
And you do understand that most people in the radio hobby especially on the CB use a dozy wattmeter...
And it's usually very beneficial to see with a W M that they're used to using and understand how to read it. To be able to see what their amp or the amplifier they're buying does you do understand that right?

@@BoxBuilderIdahoyes.... I only use dosy meters I think you jumped to a false conclusion buddy
