- Sun Screen and Skin Cancer Mama's cooking and dad wants to talk about suncreen or Scum Scream as our granddaughter calls it. There are many doctors saying that the chemicals in sunscreen are very dangerous while others like dermatologist are saying keep slathering it on and be more afraid of the sun than the carcinogens in the product like benzenes. Oxyobenzone, octocrylene etc. We share some thoughts on the different types of skin cancers like melenoma, Basal Cell Carcinoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma and differnent types of sunscreens including the mineral sunscreens and sun blockers which we feel are safest.
My dad died from cancer, started as melanoma behind his ear and they found he also had CLL (Chronic Lymphocitic Leukemia) while doing his bloodwork. It took three years. When I was a small boy I remember him getting terrible sunburns everytime he went fishing. He never used sunscreen. Just makes me wonder how things would have played if he had. Thanks for the vital knowledge gained from your very real life experiences. Praying for many years of safety for Jen and yourself...she's much too pretty and sweet to lose !
My condolences on your Dad's passing. My Dad was treated at the hospital for MRSA (a flesh eating bacteria). While the MRSA was gone, he still developed some other unknown infection, and he passed week later. Although he was 90, we still miss his his presence. I appreciate this video and its message. Cancer ain't no joke i had a long hard fight against cancer 2 yrs ago in November. I almost lost my life i had an amazing medical team working on my case
