In the recording the flip 5 sounds the best but don't be fooled, the 3 and 4 sound really good irl with the 5 having more boomyness but not being necessarily better sounding to everyone, especially because the mono speaker is mounted off-center. Edit: After spending a solid month with both a Flip 5 and Flip Essential (flip 3 without JBL connect but a little more bass) I can safely say that the flip 5 is a waste of money. The Essential is also waterproof and sounds much clearer. At lower volumes there is less bass but at max volume they’re about the same, but since the flip essential doesn’t have as much bass to begin with, it actually doesn’t have the same “bass loss” as you increase the volume

I got the flip 1 and the flip 5 reason I upgraded to the flip 5 is because I’ve had the flip 1 for a while Actually Christmas back in 2012 is when I got it I have had it for a while and I have spilled paint on it dropped it multiple times and the original one still works I just upgraded hopefully this one stays cleaner than the other on did lmao 😂

The flip 4 is the perfect flip. Everything after just trying to be a Charge 4/5 in a smaller package but sounding like the Charge 3.

I have JBL Flip 3 Stealth, And it sounds way better in real life, I still prefer it over the Flip 5

In practice I never bother with a cable when I'm camping as I tinker with my phone too much but the battery life is extended a lot by using one.
Still gonna go for the flip 5 since its louder and bassier... Never cared of AUX considering my laptop and desktop had Bluetooth connectivity
