Riding the classic 1930's? OTIS elevator @ the Rochester Museum & Science Center.

    it looks nice too. riding that elevator adds to the museum experience. that's why they kept it. old elevators make sounds that new ones lack. your "going up" is a good elevator voice. :)

    Awesome fixtures. That fan vent is also awesome. I will say that I was a little disappointed with the cab, but the exterior of the elevator was awesome!

    I used to play on the elevators. I think these are not old enough to be from the 1930's. I am guessing more the 1940's. The Call buttons appear to be from the early 1950's but the interior buttons are much older. Its a really fine piece of machinery. This was an excellent find! Nice job!

    This building was built in 1944.

      Where did you hear that? I thought this elevator was from circa late 1920s-early 1930s?

    All I know is that is looks pre 1950
