I love seeing notifications on your uploads. I JUST (today) got my OneStep+ and Polaroid Printer. Your channel helped me and the reason I got into this hobby. Also plan to get a 660 and local SX-70 soon! Thank you for all your hard work!
Appreciate you!!! Can’t go wrong with a 660!! Great camera
Looking forward to seeing your future tests! New England would be a perfect testing ground for those :D
Oh yeah totally!!! That’s a perfect place for testing this further!
I just recently started shooting polaroids (seriously) and oh my gosh your videos have been so so so helpful!! Thank you!!
Glad you have found them helpful!!
Love your videos Chris! The problem is that both photo’s look very similar, is because you did not heat the camera before shooting, so the film got cold out of the camera. The film needs to get warm out of the camera and THEN heat the film during development as well. I did this for years and the development will look fantastic.
It just does not work at all when the film in the camera is cold to begin with.
I actually took one of the folding cold clips from the older land cameras, cut the binding and extended it slightly to accommodate a few Polaroids. Then I slip it in my back pocket and it keeps the pics warm and develops them evenly, quickly, and keeps them warm enough. Works really well and cannot recommend it enough.
Been wanting to try this!! Just need to find a clip
@@JustAnotherChris The clips probably worth more than the camera lol They used to come with every Polaroid peel-apart camera back in the day
Polaroid used to make something called the Cold Clip which was two metal plates taped together. You'd warm it up in your pocket and place the photo between them. Maybe the direct contact with something warm would help it develop better?
I have been wanting to test that out but in the summer and see of that will help in hotter weather
I'm glad I found your account, I love It!!! ❤
Me too!!!
This is a cool video! 😉
I see what you did there!
Love your Polaroid/Instax content. I have a question since you have both a Powerbar s and powerbar. Have you tried to see if the powerbar s will work on your modified sx70 (not the sonar). I ask because I have a powerbar s for my sonar but also have a regular sx70. So I wanted to know if it would be best to just modify my sx70 and use the powerbar s I already own with it or if I have to do both. Modify the sx70 and buy a the regular powerbar for it as well. Please advise. Ty
The s will only work in the Sonar. Thats what the S stands for.
@@JustAnotherChris that’s what I figured. Thanks for the reply brother.
When are you making a video on the light meter from amazon?
soon ish maybe in march
That is a good method! But keep the whole camera warm before you take the shot and then keep the developing photo warm too.
I use this method with my normal shoulder bag as it works for most colder days (about -5C).
I am thinking of making a prototype with temperature control and a larger surface to keep the film and camera warm.
Well get that prototype made!
@@JustAnotherChris We will get in touch as soon as I cobble something up!
I never had blue photos with my Instax. It just takes longer to develop than normal in the cold..
Yeah instax doesn’t suffer from the cold like Polaroid does
Pretty sure it's the pack itself you'd have to keep warm.
It’s the chemistry that needs to be at the right temperature to give the best results. So as long as that’s warm enough once it spreads/as it’s developing you’re fine.
Oh boy l love my cold lithuanian blue pics 😅 so blue and lm kinda like that blue 😊 if l want heat inside for pics l thinking about those bean bags for winter or how they called ... or like those heat bags where u breake it and heat loose your pain in musle ,
Well if it’s a look you’re going for then that’s fine too!!
@@JustAnotherChris yes l do , my winter colors is white and black , so soft shade of this cold blue make it little bit not boring 😀
ive had Polaroids that have taken days to develop! 🎞️
Hmm that’s interesting
@@JustAnotherChris I normally wait about a week then i scan them
Normal film is not polaroids.
