MechWarrior Online - Locust 7V2 gameplay

The other 7V version of the Locust takes a somewhat different approach to the original 7V. Now armed with a light PPC and two ER small lasers, this variant can fight longer but it loses a lot of what made it effective in close range fights.

I always liked running a locust with an xl engine and 2 lrm 5s. Obviously it only works on the correct model of locust but it keeps you out of lof and lets you be a constant pest.

There is a lot of fun to be had constantly harassing the other team with your gnat bite LRM's, especially on maps like Tourmaline.

Yeah, the 7V2 is basically a Locust-1E on steroids. Great on the tabletop, probably good in Roguetech, pants in MWO. 😏

I can see the potential of this in something like tabletop and something turn based like HBS Battletech definitely. MWO it just struggles big time.

Can you please do another video on forever winter soon? I’ll understand if the developers don’t want you to I would just really like to see some more information on the game as well as everyone else.

A locust with a light PPC is getting uncomfortably close to cicada territory, which is odd, considering cicadas are just a locust with a better cupholder and bigger cockpit chaiselongue.
